At the risk of jinxing myself by starting this thread I'm hoping it's actually quite therapeutic to let go of September. The next few weeks are all about bd'ing and for those in the same boat, we can start looking forward to an October full of BFPs.

After a 41 day cycle I'm back to CD1, anyone else care to join me?

twilight were they all on fertility treatments (your twin bearing friends)? just thinking, all those non-identical twins mean ov'ing twice in a cycle is scarily common!

Twins eek that was my main worry when I found out I was pregnant last time but after what happened I think I would even take twins kind of puts things in perspective.

I know 2 sets of twin mummies, one is crazy and has DTs 3.1, DD 1.8 and a newborn DS so 4 under 4, the other has 2 yo DDs through IVF but has vowed never again.

TheMuppetMuggle · 13/09/2007 17:32

Hello everyone

Josey you can have plenty of fun with DH at your PILs house

I would love a boy this time round, but not to worried if another girl
My DD nearly 3 is a Diva to, proper stroppy moo

Well me & DP did plenty of BDing Last nite, although tested for first time yesterday on ov sticks and no surge
But will get him at it again tonite LOL

Hello to everyone else.

TwilightSurfer · 13/09/2007 19:28

Digitalgirl THE SHOCKER...all were naturally conceived. Oh and I just remembered a fifth friend (don't see much) who's first attempt (naturally) resulted in identical twin girls. No commonality with any of these...other than the natural part. They all live in different places, conceived at different ages, and NONE had twins in family histories. As far as I'm concerned it could happen to any of us. Be Prepared...and proceed with caution .

I personally think twins would be cool. DH & I discussed the idea the first time I got a BFP. Of course, we only had one DC with that. We've not discussed it since. But I know he'd find it wildly crazy and fun too, especially if it were boys!!

Speaking of IVF...all my IVF friends had boys. One in that group just conceived DC2 naturally...and it's going to be girl. None of these ladies had twins though.

josey · 13/09/2007 20:03

Hi all

Oh its not the secret bedding etc I quite like that is just I hate my MIL we dont get on at all and she always has me in such a bad mood im not likely to want to do any anyway. I have warned DH he will be busy tonight and Sunday making up for it, still in with a chance that way.

My SIL just had Twins in January, if I fell with twins her and my MIL would say I did so on purpose - yes they are that kind of people.

Piggley · 13/09/2007 20:11

Josey! You so brought back memories of when DH and I use to stay with PIL fourteen years ago (i am 35 years) we used to get up early and go into the shower room. One morning MIL knocked on door and we both answered! I said I lost my contact lens and DH said he was helping me find it! Not the case.

Another time we got caught in DH single bed and was told to move it quick unless FIL found us. We were only allowed to share a bed in their house once we were engaged and by that time we had been living together in London for four years!

Love my MIL but SIL's are witches!!

debinaustria · 13/09/2007 22:09

having 2 lively boys already my secret fear would be to conceive twin boys - now that would be hard work!!

Josey - hope the weekend goes OK and MIL manages to be civil.

Deb are you actually 'in Austria'? I have been dying to ask for ages!

josey · 14/09/2007 09:41

moring all
Well I went out last night and DH was asleep when I got home huh, so he has been warned he is on duty during DDs nap lol!

Dreading the weekend, but going out tonight with a good friend so wont have to put up with her much tonight.

MIL is very strange and would probably listen with a glass at the wall and congratulate us, then announce to the world she was getting another grandchild wether we were trying or not.

Anyway better go and get packed wish me luck

debinaustria · 14/09/2007 09:50

Hi Bucky - yes we are actually in Austria( but originally from the UK). If you look on my profile you can see some photos.

sweetkitty · 14/09/2007 10:36

Morning everyone hope the weather is good where you all are

CD8 here already time to get in some serious practice over the weekend, I have bought some Pinot and some Green and Blacks so thats my Friday night taken care of! Will be off booze for the 2ww and hopefully for a long time after that so am getting a cheeky bottle of wine in whilst I can. Whats everyone else doing this weekend?

deb - I have secret fears of twins girls this time or twin boys or even B/G twins no seriously if we get twins we get twins, I remember when I had my first scan with the last one all I could ask was how many were in there? Seems really sad thats all I was thinking as the one that was in there was dead already. I would give an awful lot to still be pregnant with twins right now, sorry .

Josey - good luck at the weekend with the MIL, I suppose I'm lucky in that we would never visit my MIL to stay, if we go for an hour she gets annoyed she has to smoke outside and she has such a busy social life with her friends that she would never babysit either. In fact we have no one to babysit for us so DP and I never get out on our own (feel sorry for myself emoticon) we kind of are used to it now but it gets to you from time to time.

hello to everyone else and their poor DHs

digitalgirl · 14/09/2007 11:12

hello!
SK yep, I'm sneaking in the odd glass here in there before the 2ww, although it feels wrong to get completely mullered

josey My MIL is a pain too...have long stopped agreeing to overnight stays coz I find the whole experience claustrophic. Can just about handle a 4 hour visit. Can't wait to see how she handles being a grandmother she hates being reminded how old she is!!! She definitely won't be mucking in with nappy changes, or babysitting.

deb whoever's around first thing in the morning usually does the update - so feel free to update away!!!

Hello everyone

Hope your all doing okay, sorry haven't managed to read through all the posts as this thread moves so quickly.

Can't believe I'm CD10 felt like only a couple of days ago AF arrived. Oh well let the BDing begin!

Howz my cycle buddy by the way?

Har27 · 14/09/2007 12:25

Hello hello! Just in and now rushing off again so no time to catch up which is v bad! Hope everyone's feeling happy, optimistic and fertile today!

Wave to Sweetkitty!

Meglet · 14/09/2007 13:45

afternoon fellow fertile people!

debin - am hoping for a girl and starting early, but not doing the no orgasm method - it would kill me !

hello muppet! hope you are keeping your strength up.

All is well in the meglet household, had leg wax this morning so feel quite daring now .

PennyBenjamin · 14/09/2007 14:13

Afternoon,

Well you'll be amused to hear that after 4 days of morning and night BDing, we are now both exhausted, and not even sure I'm at OV yet! We have to go to a wedding this weekend, and all we can think about is collapsing on the sofa.

God, I hope it happens this month, otherwise I'm not sure I can do this again!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend (with lots of BDing). Wish me lukc staying upright this weekend.

PB x

Tigger13 · 14/09/2007 14:29

Hello

Argh staying at MIL that sounds hard, mine stays at mine once a fortnight to look after my boys when I work and she usually makes me so mad I want to spit fire, I call her the dragon!

DH to just benn home for lunch going away for a wedding this weekend as well without boys which is extremely rare so hoping a few glasses of wine and some smoochy music will do the trick this weekend

Hope you all have a productive weekend

I am using OV stick but couldn't test yesterday as got caught up in work and was past the 8pm thing to do it (instructions day 12-8pm to test) I have tested now and got a negative, would that mean it was negative yesterday??? or would it only show up on the THE day> I am temping but its so boring and I can't see any changes in it as seems very random.

Thanks Tigg's

sweetkitty · 14/09/2007 15:03

Penny - I am in awe of your marathon BDing, I just tell my DP that anymore than once every 2 days waters down the swimmers and we have to give them him a chance to replenish stocks.

SK waves back to cycle buddy Har

Tigger - what CD are you on? My OPKs say to test in the morning, I never pee on sticks I always collect and dip. I have a jug especially in the en-suite loo so first thing in the morning I stumble in there pee in my jug then stick my test in, cue DD1 "mummy why is your pee in a jug and it's all yellow, Mummy has yellow pee, my pee is pink, pink is my favourite colour, DD2 your pee is purple thats your favourite colour like your bedroom, my bedroom is pink" Anyway even if you have missed OV get plenty of BDing in cover all bases.

Tigger13 · 14/09/2007 15:11

HI Sweetkitty

I also wee and dip, into very small smaple bottle which I used last pregnancy (good luck thing!) I'm on CD9 so getting close, but trying to swing for a girl so got to stop before to close to OV as more likely for a boy.........

I'm using access diagnostic tests worked last time and V cheap, showed up a + last month but once I got it stopped testing so unsure how long it shows for. I;m thinking still ok to keep going for it! no other signs of OV.

I love the pink wee, my DS1's favourite colour 2!

sweetkitty · 14/09/2007 15:22

I could never get it into the sample bottle I hate when you go to antenatal and they tell you to wee in the little bottle I always get it down the sides hence my pee jug

After two DDs a Ds would be nice but I'm doing nothing to swin it one way or the other so to speak just want to be pregnant again.

AbRoller · 14/09/2007 18:10

Hi all,
I had a rotten day today - ended up in A&E with severe back pain. Loads of lifting in work yesterday and in absolute agony all night and this morning (hope I can still bd in a few days) Doc said I have a slight curve in my lumbar spine and I need an MRI to check if one of my discs is bulging. As if all that wasn't bad enough - I had not shaven my legs, was wearing really old, faded black AF comfy knickers and had a hole in my sock all of which the very yummy doctor got to see ....the difene should ease the pain and the bottle of white should ease the embarrassment, yes?

Lot to catch up on! Have no MIL but can sympathize so hope all goes well for you Josey (lol @ you having twins on purpose )

Penny once a day was wearing us out last month! You've been morning and night? WOW This month I've told dp we're only bd'ing every second day to keep his swimmers in good shape (I don't think he minds though, less pressure IYKWIM)

I've bought ov sticks (and the bbt kit but like Tigger said, it's boring and no evident change that I can see) Only got 5 in the packet so not sure when to use them. Think I'll start on CD10 but buy an extra pack (they're so expensive )and keep going til I ov. Is that what I'm supposed to do?

How are my cycle buddies, LadyL and Lockets?

Happy BD'ing

AbRoller · 14/09/2007 18:14

Wow, I do use a lot of emoticons, sorry. (was going to insert a (blush) emoticon after that but now that would be silly!)
