At the risk of jinxing myself by starting this thread I'm hoping it's actually quite therapeutic to let go of September. The next few weeks are all about bd'ing and for those in the same boat, we can start looking forward to an October full of BFPs.

After a 41 day cycle I'm back to CD1, anyone else care to join me?

oops baby dust didnt work very well sorry

Bucky2007 · 20/09/2007 12:10

All this talk of late ov I am starting to think I stopped BDing too soon. We always start with a vengence and then get knackered and/or bored by CD16-17....

Bucky2007 · 20/09/2007 12:12

sorry your not feeling well Josey hope you feel better soon.

looneytune · 20/09/2007 12:24

Not been around much but thought I'd say hello AF only lasted a couple of days again so dh will be happy to hear that later . Just wanted to ask something as I've just been the the toilet and well, something really weird was there when I wiped.......it was a flatish round shaped something and it was rock hard - WTF was that then????

Anyway, will try and catch up with messages later, got to go and get ds from nursery lunch club so I can get back and get baby mindee down for a nap before the school run later.

Oh.....I'm off for a tarot reading tonight (the same person I've used for years - she's always spot on!) so I wonder if she'll mention anything about ttc and/or my tests (which turn out were possibly done on the wrong days )

Catch up later

LT xx

Oh goodness, I suddenly have numb patches on my fingers! Symptom, or just cold!?!

Hope all well, now 5dpo, and really bored with not drinking!

emmy6781 · 20/09/2007 12:46

OMG just went to askdramy.com just to see and found out not even likley to be fertile till 24sep !!!! nevermind, wont tell dh just keep BDing anyway

TwilightSurfer · 20/09/2007 13:16

emmy6781 yes askdramy.com is definitely a late OV calculator. This month I used it and one other one. Combined I had TWO WEEKS of POSSIBILITY!! That's a lot of BDing if think about it. I didn't stick to the whole two weeks as EWCM only lasted a week. Kudos to you as OV probably hasn't happened yet.

Josey twitling my thumbs here. Started nesting process (as I've done each month for a year now)...cleaning corners and cobwebs. Not much else to do. Surprised by your tumble. Isn't fainting a symptom of pregnancy??

looneytune · 20/09/2007 13:26

Still not had chance to read through thread but quick question........can you all give me a rough idea of how long you get EWCM for? I'm not really getting it and believe this is a problem?

debinaustria · 20/09/2007 13:36

josey - hope you're feeling better now, lol at your baby dust took me ages to work out.

looneytune - Last week I had 3 days of ewcm.

Deb

TwilightSurfer · 20/09/2007 13:42

Looneytune for me EWCM last about five days. It's not very noticable at first...comfortably wet. BDing increases that wetness. Mid way "for me" there's [TMI ALERT] a glob (about a tablespoon size amount) that is perfect egg white consistency. Good wetness last one or two more days then back to barren desert land.

looneytune · 20/09/2007 13:45

Thanks

I'm confused as on my last cycle (which was 26 days, prior to that was 32 days) I had one time I wipe and got the proper egg white stuff, not lots, but it was there - that was CD9. Nothing at all after that, just damp down below but certainly not Egg White. I even checked my cervix like I was told to but it was just white and sticky and not thick. The persona monitor I'm using didn't give me an egg symbol either although I did get a 2nd line on the test stick on CD13.

[confused about all this ttc malarky as last time just did the business and conceived]

TwilightSurfer · 20/09/2007 13:46

so glad this is cyberspace. I do hope the information helps...no matter how GROSS.

looneytune · 20/09/2007 13:47

I know, couldn't talk about this stuff in RL could we!

TwilightSurfer · 20/09/2007 13:50

I've gotten EWCM as early as CD9. At this point I think my cycles have settled to 31days. That would mean I OV pretty early. However, the best EWCM should happen the day before you OV...prepping you for the little swimmers. (check me on that fact)

TwilightSurfer · 20/09/2007 13:56

All the work we do to prep for the perfect conception. We must remember it takes TWO. I wish it weren't such a big deal for men to go...like we have paps...and get little swimmers checked. By Big Deal I mean not a MANLY thing. We can OV all month long but if there aren't enough little guys or they aren't healthy there'll be NO BFP!

calebsmum · 20/09/2007 14:23

I had EWCM for 2 days this month and it was pretty early on in my cycle as well, i'm not very regular so it can be a bit hit and miss.

Have started going back to the toddler groups with ds now the holidays are over and there's a big influx of pregnant women!

loveverona · 20/09/2007 18:00

Now then ladies, what I want to know is why i've been feeling due on, on and off, for the past two weeks? Could this be a sign?? I remember before my previous teo pregnancies were confirmed I felt pretty normal, but the only sign was to have darker ariolas (sp!??!) bit around the nip! No sign of that yet, but I am only CD24, I think!

Anyone had similar feelings before a BFP? Probably all wishful thinking!

loveverona · 20/09/2007 18:03

Hey, Gardenangel, any news??

loveverona will be thinking of you....hope for good news when I get back and Abbymeg and Bucky - go girls!!

Excitable · 20/09/2007 18:50

Hi Everyone

I'm back from my trip to Harrogate and I've just spent some lovely time with a cuppa and the cats catching up with you all.

God, I've missed you guys - thank you all so much for talking about really GROSS stuff that we'd never talk about IRL. We learn so much from each other. So much talk about BDing and ick - this is fantastic! All the stuff I never dared ask my friends!

Might be a bit difficult to get the image of SK sniffing her knickers out of my head, though, lol. At least I think it was you, SK if it wasn't!

I had about 7/8 days of EWCM, no wonder I wanted to BD all day . TMI warning - I couldn't stop touching it after BDing as I'd just never known it to be like that! I wondered if this might just be a surge of hormones as I came off the pill as a kind of one off, but I can feel it surging in my belly now on CD 8! Hoping not to get a BFP in October because don't really want a June baby and I want another month of this - it feels so terrific!

Still very when I see babies though, so a November BFP would be just fine, although DH has been talking about how great it would be to send a scan picture in Christmas cards. Suddenly, he's as broody as me, this is so weird. Four months ago, he had no interest in ttc at all. Mind you, I am excitable by name and nature might have just wanted to be sure before confessing broodiness!

moodymoo · 20/09/2007 19:15

hiya ladies. well I posted on tuesday thinking it was cd1 but now I'm not sure as it just hasn't kicked in properly yet - just teasing me and I wish it wouldn't as i have all the other usual signs. Just want it to get on and start so I can finiah and get back to ttc. Going to loose out being a cycle buddy to shreksmissus and gardenangel4 - it's not fair . I will update the list when I get real cd1.

Har27 - I would have said taht my cycle is 32 days long but this month has thrown that out of the window. Had bleeding on day 31 but then stopped. Am usually very regluar though so not too worried. I was really suprised to find I had ovulated as late as day 18 but am not worried - just relieved I am ovulating. I have the clearblue fertility monitor rather than the opk's - after the initial cost of buying it, works out at £10 per month and I think is more reliable than an opk - and it identifies 'extra' fertile days for you. I haven't been a big fan of opk's as they never showed me as ov'ing (obviously I know why now as my sticks would have run out by day18!).
When I spoke to my doctor the other day she told me that best way is to relax about it all and just aim to have sex 2-3 times a week. Said if too much pressure the sperm and egg end up hiding from each other.
Noticed that there has been loads of discussion about EWCM - I read that you don't always see the EWCM - it can stay behind your cervix. Say best time to notice it is after you have been to the loo for a no2 as it pushes it down.Am not checking any of this now though as am sure just makes me more stressed.
Dh has been quite good - seemed a bit flustered when I gave him a bottle of folic acid labeled womens health. Got him taking folic acid, zinc and vitamin c as supposed to improve the health of his little swimmers. Got a slight rattle to him now banned him from the hot tub last week - told him he could dangle his feet in but nothing else.
