gilly - I've done accupuncture - went initially to practitioner to try to get rid of chemo from system - chinese herbs - but continued with accupuncture when I got pregnant. Going at the moment because of sleep issues (being shattered doesn't help on the ttc side of things I find)

Kensgirl ((((hugs)))) Don't give up - look at me - it can happen, it really can. I know I'm back here again, but its not so bad if #2 doesn't come when #1 is so special. And when it does happen for you, with all that you've been through, it will be really special, believe me.

gilly - nice underwear - need to lose some weight first. Did really well this time last year, then mc followed by 2 months panic put it all back on again and I havn't been in the right mood to be able to get it off again. Will have to knuckle down and shift it - did OK as a start yesterday!

BabyBratt · 18/09/2007 11:55

Hi ladies

I have been quietly hanging around in here seeing how you are all getting on.

I am sorry some of you are feeling so down. I know it is easy to say but don't give up. I've heard great things about accupuncture

I love the outfits. I am a huge coast fan, me and my bf are the same size so we share clothes all the time.

My DH is feeling very neglected because I have been so poorly we have not BD'd in weeks. Im a fan of M&S underwear but unfortunately for me DH never notices.

Hello everyone not posting much lately but still keeping upto date with everyone's progress.

Gilly - I totally relate to you dilema (hol or ttc etc) I decided to go with the holiday and booked mine at the start of Dec. It is over a year of ttc after MC and I feel that I need to travel and enjoy things.

Two very close friends are now pregnant and I feel that I am the only person I know that is having trouble ttc or has lost a baby through mc. MN helps to re-adjust that balance.

If you get BFP then you probably can claim the hol on insurance and you won't worry about missing the hol. If you don't it will be perfect prep for ttc when you get back all relaxed and refreshed!!!

poppy75 · 18/09/2007 17:48

Let us know how Acu goes - I can access it at work but may look into fertility centre for it as not quite the most relaxed place to have it. What should I look for in a practioner???? Which is thought to be more effective Chinese or more western type??? Anyone know???

nomoremagnolia · 18/09/2007 18:37

hi all
don't know much about accupuncture (have never tried it) but have heard it recommended for helping with IVF, so guess it'll help with ttc too. I would suggest looking for someone who specialises in fertility or women's health though.

I am officially just too preoccupied with this whole baby thing---have just looked on baby world and found out when my baby will be due if I conceived this month. Please, someone pok my eyes out or disconnect my internet.

nomoremagnolia · 18/09/2007 18:55

The Accupuncture guy I phoned dealt with alot of women ttc. He is based in Manchester though.

He said he would see you regularly at first and then when he understood where in your cycle you needed help.

Hey flosspot I did that every month.

toomuchtimeonline · 19/09/2007 05:00

Hey guys - still on holiday - but just checking in on mobile! Missing you all - particularly since you're all having such good banter at the moment!!

Big hugs to everyone on cd1 or early in their cycle!! We have to remain positive - it will happen eventually for us all (toomuch crosses fingers for everyone)..

Back properly next week but hope to check in again soon on mobile!!

flosspot · 19/09/2007 09:19

Thank God, I'm not the only one!!

Morning all

PiggyPenguin · 19/09/2007 09:27

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok. CD11 this morning, have just told DH my bd-ing schedule for the next 10 days and he covered his face with his hands and moaned - but when will I get to sleeeep!!!!. Honestly, as soon as he inpregnates me he can sleep as much as much as he likes! Strangely this information did not cheer him....

scorpio1 · 19/09/2007 09:45

just saying hi

Hi Gilly, I tried to get my DH to eat the brazil nuts but he refused point blank. He doesn't enjoy them apparently. I pointed out that I didn't enjoy labour but was prepared to go through it again to give us another child. He didn't think this a reasoned argument apparently.

I do think I may be getting a bit worked up over the whole conception thing now. I have banned him from playing squash for the next week so his 'little guys' don't get too hot and sweaty, which I'm sure I read somewhere isn't good for them. he looked at me as if I was mad, but has reluctantly agreed for a quiet life.

Hi all, am at a boring conference and am checking in on you all during lunch! It's cd9 today and I'm not home til late - think it might be me who's too tired tonight! DH is not on any kind of special diet, we gave up on that ages ago and we both drink when we fancy it

OP posts:
PiggyPenguin · 19/09/2007 14:12

Dh has just let me know that he is home late today too - so much for my impressive bd-ing schedule then! It has in fact lasted about five hours before all going to hell in a handcart, still as DH pointed out, perhaps I am over thinking this and a more relaxed attitude will bring better results.

We also have not bothered to stop drinking. DS was conceived on a boozy holiday in Italy and I didn't realise I was pg until 6 weeks, and he is perfect in every way. When I went to see the doc after realising I was pg he told me not to worry that I had been drinking and that it was fine for me to drink a little while pg. Not that I did as I felt too guilty about his alcoholic beginnings.

mistlethrush · 19/09/2007 22:22

Sybil - I know exactly what you mean... Feel too depressed about the whole thing to stop drinking, although trying not to overdo it! Hadn't given up previously as (after 5 years) it seemed a bit over-optimistic and we were 'saving up' for when IVF started and we definitely were not going to drink...

Ds has just started noticing things and the comment he made at dh the other morning (dh had just got out of the shower) was hillarious. Not sure if anyone has said that to him before. Certainly not me over the last 9 months....

I'm also thinking about birthday months - its this month or leave it for a couple of months - don't want an August baby - July is bad enough (both from the heat of summer when pregnant but also school).

Good luck everyone, hope this month good for some of us!

flosspot · 20/09/2007 10:11

BFN. Bollocks.

Feeling horribly sorry for myself. Will go and eat some chocolate and come back tomorrow.

flosspot I said it on the clomid thread, but I'll say it again - sorry about BFN
toomuch hope you're enjoying your holiday - forgive me if you've already said, but where are you?
gilly good luck with the accupuncture - I've alway been interested in 'alternative' remedies/therapies but can't afford to actually do it! A friend was training as a reflexlogist and I was her guinea pig for a while, but it didn't do much for me. Would like to try accupuncture one day though.
everyone else hope you are well, what item shall we go shopping for next?

OP posts:
Ready · 20/09/2007 20:31

floss - Really sorry about the BFN chick! Hang in there.

nomore - OOOh. What shall we go shopping for next!?

Sorry I haven't been about for a bit. The house sale is reaching the finish post, and all the niggly problems are happening. Keep fingers crossed that next week is good for us!

Hope everyone is ok??
