Hi ladies

Just got back from the hospital where I was scanned to see if there was any development and a heartbeat and I am pleased to tell you that there was.

I was told that everything was right for my dates and that there was a hearbeat.

They have told me that it is a "snap shot" in time and therefore to be cautious and that statistics say that most women if they are going to miscarry will do so around the 6-10 week mark.

They have confirmed that I am 7 weeks 5 days so I won't move over to the due date thread until I have passed that phase.

I am still in shock and it hasn't sunk in yet.

Thank you all for your wonderful support and for coping with wacko me !!!

hugs Cobweb xxx

Hi, due to the tender breasts and I am CD30, I did an ultra sensitive pg test this morning and I got the usual BFN ....

SHELY · 22/10/2004 14:51

tessiebear- have you gotten af yet?
congratulations bagpuss30!!
i hope alot of us will be joining your crew really soon.

i have a question to anyone that is using or has used, a clear plan monitor. well, i started using it 10 days ago, which was cd 1, first day of my period, and the fertility bars, stayed on low fertility, till this morning. isn't cd 10 too early to try to concieve? especially with a 33 day usual cycle? i know it's not peak fertility, but i was wondering, am i supposed to have sex on all of the high days, and especially the peak days, or is having sex today a waste of time and sperm? if anyone could healp, i would reeeeaaalllyyy appreciate it!

Bagpuss30 · 22/10/2004 15:01

Thanks for all the Congratulations everyone .

Brilliant news for you Cobweb .

Shely, I haven't used clearplan but have used Persona which sounds similar. My monitor always gives a red light (for more fertile time) from around cd9 to around cd16. This month we didn't start bd'ing until cd13 and then stopped on cd15. My cycle on a good month is 29 days. I would say you need to pinpoint the middle of your cycle and then bd a few days before up until ov to get the best chance. HTH

jeddah · 22/10/2004 16:44

onamnbreakbut · 22/10/2004 16:44

Had a crap day today. Did an early test and it was a bfn. Was really surprised as im so sure im pregnant but if im due on Sunday then it would have shown posotive wouldnt it???? Someone came into work fresh from their 20 week scan and it made me cry

af must be on way as i feel so crap and tired. Hows everyone else doing?

CHRIZ · 22/10/2004 17:39

hi there

sorry to hear

i cant test till next week due on next thru more waiting to see

Bibi20 · 22/10/2004 17:54

Sorry to hear about af's arriving.

Congratulations Bagpuss!

Onamabreakbut - you could still be too early - lots of posts from other people saying that in previous pg's they didn't get a BFP until after af was due... fingers crossed for you... it ain't over till the fat lady sings! (or Aunt Flo knocks on your door)

Good luck to those still testing at the weekend!

x

LipstickMum · 22/10/2004 18:49

Jeddah? AF came on your way to Barcelona?? You didn't mention it in your other posts. It might have been something to do with the altitude, it often makes af arrive, dunno why. Sorry anyway

Cobweb, brilliant news about your scan. It is so wonderful to be pregnant, but I forget how much I worry every, single day about what could go wrong. It's so good that you are feeling reassured

Do we have anyone left to test???

Tessiebear · 22/10/2004 18:53

Sorry Jeddah about your af and sorry on a break and Becki F for your bfn's

LipstickMum · 22/10/2004 19:03

LipstickMum · 22/10/2004 19:03

Which online predictor did you use??

Tessiebear · 22/10/2004 19:03

Cobweb - so glad your scan went well - too wrapped up in my news to see your post until now

Tessiebear · 22/10/2004 19:05

I am not sure what one it was i just googled it and did the first one it gave me - it might be slightly wrong because i have had a long cycle and OVed late (CD1 was 16th sept and oved around CD24)

LipstickMum · 22/10/2004 19:09

Don'think it matters when you ov'd, they calculate by your 1st day of LMP anyway

SO, are there any testers left????

Tessiebear · 22/10/2004 19:10

Minnie???

hester · 22/10/2004 19:35

Tania, Jeddah, Becki - so sorry to hear your bad news. Hang on in there, girls; we'll all graduate up to the July thread together

Cobweb - I am so so so pleased for you! Though it's true you're not into the 'safe zone' yet, every week that goes by has a statistically lower chance of mc than the one before. You're going to have a baby !

And as for Bagpuss..... Our amazing eighth! SO thrilled for you and proud of our lovely fertile thread!

A little question to finish off with: my periods normally last 5 days, sometimes 6. I am now on CD11 and STILL spotting brown blood. Does anyone have any ideas on this? I also haven't ovulated yet (normally do by around now) so am feeling a little anxious.

hester · 22/10/2004 19:35

I'm so excited about this weekend, the last of this thread! Come on testers, we're counting on you

Tessiebear · 22/10/2004 19:37

Hester - i am no.9 - just got a BFP!

Tessiebear · 22/10/2004 19:38

Cant answer your spotting question i am afraid
