Sexyandhappy · 21/10/2004 13:06

Well am off to do some shopping (buying something expensive I bet!) as I feel a bit sad now - it's obviously hit me that I am not pg and what is my body doing ANYWAY??????
The weather isn't helping of course

SHELY · 21/10/2004 13:48

boy i will tell you ladies, i took a real good pain pill before my hsg test yesterday, and i got through it with flying colors. i went home, fell asleep on the couch, and when i woke up and the pill wore off, i was soo much more crampy then during, and right after, the test. i thought it would pass, but i was cramping all nite, even into today. i thought that the test going so "easilly", was too good to be true, and iam not a wimp at all! i had my son, who has passed a couple months back bless his heart, w/ a breech birth, vaginally, w/o so much as an asprin, as pain meds. after 32 hours of labor, i maintained a smile the whole way through. didn't even smudge my lipstick lol. they didn't do a c-section, cause the dumb doctors didn't even know that his head was really his ass. they didn't know why i didn't feel the need to push. totally dialated and noone knew it was breech, what idiots!! was far too late for pain meds at that point. anyway, about the test, the doc said my tubes are perfectly open and my uterus is fine to. i got to see it up on the monitor, as if i were looking at a baby. like thats what i really had to see ya know? iam glad iam ok, but i don't know what the heck is wrong with me, which i think is even more frustrating. i know iam timing bd right, i don't know. better luck this month!! better luck to all!

Tessiebear · 21/10/2004 14:03

Good luck Shely - sounds like you have a really positive outlook on everything
Well i have been getting cramping pains all morning and have been trying to ignore them but sense a/f is on way .... have to wait and see

SHELY · 21/10/2004 14:19

hey tessiebear. maybe af won't come (fingers crossed), sometimes, when you are pregnant you feel like af is coming, cramping and all, but you never really bleed. hey, it could happen? all the best to you!dust to all!

pooka · 21/10/2004 14:29

Well having completely screwed up my dates, have calculated AF due today, but no sign as yet. BFN yesterday with a First Response test, so no chance, I think. Am really disappointed, but this month am going to get an ovulation prediction kit as think my cycles may still be all over the place since dd born. First AF after birth wasn't until about 11 months, and only 3/4 periods since then (dd 15 months). Ho hum!

Twiga · 21/10/2004 14:31

Welcome to the thread Jules, sorry to hear about your mc in September, hope it all happens for yousoon. there are a few of us trying for no1, so you're in good company and this thread id great x

, af still not arrived although I had very slight pinkish brown spottint this morning - clutching at sraws but is it for an implantation bleed, am on CD31? Really fed up, did a hpt and got a bfn so I reckon af is on her way and my bodys just playing tricks on me again - never had any sort of pinkish brown show without it turning itno full scale af about 5 mins later. No real symptoms either way but have been feeling weepy the last couple of days - think the mc is still mucking with my hormones - it's not fair .

Twiga · 21/10/2004 14:33

Now I can't even type properly - meant is it too late for this to be an implantation bleed?

MINNIE1 · 21/10/2004 14:55

Was thinking, (now thats a new thing for me) should'nt beckif be back soon??
Beckif Are you there??

Twiga, Hugs to you.. Were in the same boat cause my af is due on and no sign of her, just have the horrible feeling she is near!!!!! Told her last time to feck of for nine months (don't think she listned!!!)

shely,
Good to hear the test went well, xxx*x bd for your bding....

Tessiebear · 21/10/2004 15:05

Twiga/Minnie1/me and all others that are feeling like AF is on her way and (((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) for us! I hope the weekend testers club doesnt turn into one massive AF for us all!

Twiga · 21/10/2004 15:20

unbelievably fed up and hacked off, can't figure out what's going on - am off to have a nap for a couple of hours, being tired too is not helping .

Sallie · 21/10/2004 15:30

Twiga and Minnie - best of luck and hope you get a result soon either way. The waiting and wondering are the worst parts of this whole ttc process...
My af this month was really really heavy and lasted for a week - was my third since finishing b/f dd. Hope it settles down soon as left me completely washed out.

valleygirl · 21/10/2004 15:31

does anyone know if the OPK tests are supposed to continue showing a positive result until one ovulates? last month i had a positive test for 3 days, this month just the one positive on Tuesday - last 2 days have shown negative? Because my leuteal phase was abnormally short last month iam a little paranoid!

golds · 21/10/2004 16:04

Well you can count me out of the running for a BFP, AF has just arrived

Now where did I put that BIG bar of chocolate !

SHELY · 21/10/2004 16:11

TO VALLEY GIRL! NO- AN OVULATION PREDICTOR TEST, SHOWS YOU THE SURGE BEFORE OVULATION, AND CAN LAST FOR A COUPLE HOURS TO A COUPLE DAYS, THAT'S WHY IT CAN EASILLY BE MISSED, CAUSE MOST WOMEN ONLY GET THAT SURGE FOR A VERY SHORT TIME. YOU CAUGHT IT EARLY.YOU CAN GET A POSITIVE IN THE MORNING, AND A NEGATIVE AT NIGHT, AND YOU SHOULD STILL BE OVULATING WITHIN 24-36 HOURS OF THAT FIRST POSITIVE SURGE, SO DO SOME BD WHEN THAT POSITIVE COMES THROUGH, YOU ARE TOTALLY NORMAL! GOOD LUCK!!

SHELY · 21/10/2004 16:14

sorry guys for the caps again. wasn't trying to yell. i didn't realize the cap lock was on till it was too late. still getting used to the chat board scene! sorry!

LipstickMum · 21/10/2004 16:51

See you soon waves

valleygirl · 21/10/2004 17:07

have a blast in Barcelona Jeddah - definitely one of my favourite cities!
Good luck to all weekend testers - i'll be back on Monday to check upon latest news!

hester · 21/10/2004 17:55

Jeddah! Go away THIS INSTANT and enjoy your holiday !

Welcome Jules. So sorry to hear about your mc but looking forward to getting to know you on ttc11 and probably also 12

golds. It's a * isn't it.

Shely - congratulations! Bet you're glad it's over!

Now ladies, I think we need to know WHEN we are able to celebrate/commiserate with the testers (it's chocolate and alcohol either way). Can everyone report back on Monday? Or will some take longer? When do I put my bubbly on ice?

BeckiF · 21/10/2004 18:22

Hi Ladies! Yes I;m back and in fact had to abort the holiday last Saturday as our dogs (7 of) were fully taking advantage of dp's mum, who is very able. She was devestated that we had to adandon our long awited brea, as were we. The first week was full of stress as we apoke to her every day as the dogs were just SO naughty.

Anyway, I'm CD29 today, and having had a 12 month cycle prior, am paying no attention to the tender breasts. I also had a small amount of a jelly type discharge last night, very small amount and had the same last week too......we are now taking afew weeks rest before going for our IFV treatment. Mind you, I say that, and I bet it is well into the new year before we DO start!

Did I miss any graduates at all??

LipstickMum · 21/10/2004 18:32

Yes Becki, I believe we've had 3 since me... GeorgesMummy, BinaTracy and somebody else....... hmm can't think, was sure there were 3 though scratches head

LipstickMum · 21/10/2004 18:35

...Maybe I am just confusing the new people on "due in June" with graduates from here!

I think we have a total of 7 graduates

So far!

hester · 21/10/2004 18:48

Welcome back Becki! We've been SWIMMING with BFPs in your absence, making this the luckiest ttc thread since... well, for a long time. We're hoping to get at least a couple more over the weekend (lots of people ready to test) and then have a chocolate party and a brand new thread
