An introduction to this thread. It has been running for many years and has proved a saviour for so many of us who have suffered recurrent miscarriages as we go through this incredibly tough journey.

Discussions cover NK (natural killer) cells, thyroid issues, PGS and many many more.

@HoldingOn2Hope ok thanks, good luck for Sunday- fingers crossed!x

HoldingOn2Hope · 15/05/2020 18:53

@Countrygirl220 thank you!

How does everyone feel about testing at 10dpo? I feel it's too early but nurses told me at the clinic that they would expect a positive test by then regardless of what other research says.

HarrietM87 · 15/05/2020 18:55

@HoldingOn2Hope I got a faint bfp at 10dpo with my son - so faint you could barely see it - and a strong one this time (it’s a girl and my hcg levels are a lot higher).

I generally just do what they say - do the test at 10dpo. If it’s bfn stop the pred but do keep testing for the next few days. Fingers crossed for you!

peperethecat · 15/05/2020 19:22

I got a faint BFP at 9 DPO when I was pregnant before Christmas. If you use a FRER there's a good chance it'll show at 10 DPO if you are pregnant. But the flip side is that if your test is negative you'll just keep testing until you're sure you're out.

Countrygirl220 · 15/05/2020 19:30

@HoldingOn2Hope I also got a positive this time around on the FRER at 10dpo not strong but definitely more than a squinter, but previously I haven't had positives until 14 days or even the day after. So I think it can go either way, if it's not there on Sunday keep testing!!x

HoldingOn2Hope · 15/05/2020 20:02

Thank you ladies!
I have had a positive at 10dpo and the other 2 were around 15-16dpo

Only have the clear blue digital early detection tests so will use those on Sunday. I'm cramping again in my left groin today 🙄

HarrietM87 · 15/05/2020 20:06

@HoldingOn2Hope if you can get hold of a FRER you should - they’re the only tests I’d use now as so much more sensitive than others, especially when you’re doing an early test.

KtAgs · 15/05/2020 20:17

I got a super squinter at 8dpo in my last pregnancy. I knew i was pregnant about 5dpo. It's totally possible even though the pregnancy didn't work out.

Crystal2020 · 15/05/2020 21:20

Not long to wait now @HoldingOn2Hope! I agree with @HarrietM87 on the First Response. They’re super sensitive so worth trying to get hold of one by Sun if you’re able to. X

HoldingOn2Hope · 15/05/2020 22:14

@Crystal2020 @HarrietM87 I'll try. Non of the local shops/pharmacy's close to me sell them and I don't want to go into a supermarket especially as we are meant to be self isolating while on pred. I don't want to ask my friend who's been collecting my shopping as I haven't told her that I'm bk to ttc.
When I ordered the clearblue a few weeks ago from boots online they didn't have the free ones in stock.
I've used them before and agree they are the best ones

Wishing5tar · 15/05/2020 22:33

@HoldingOn2Hope I usually order the FRER from amazon ☺️ Usually a 2 pack is £8ish and next day delivery if you’ve got prime. I stopped buying them from boots as the last time I went & paid at the pharmacy the cheeky woman said ‘need to triple check do we’ as I placed 3 boxes on the counter. I had to stop myself from saying ‘no actually I’m just gunna pee on all of these in the next 4 days and torture myself because they’ll all be negative’ 🤣 Xx

peperethecat · 16/05/2020 08:46

How many DPO will you be on Sunday?

HoldingOn2Hope · 16/05/2020 09:56

I'm actually 10dpo today so took the clearblue and a cheapie - bfn! :(
Another round of the super expensive gonal-f injections I suppose.

HarrietM87 · 16/05/2020 10:05

@HoldingOn2Hope sorry to hear this but try again tomorrow - I don’t trust clear blue at all!

HoldingOn2Hope · 16/05/2020 10:10

@HarrietM87 I'll try and get hold of a frer if I can. It does say on the box of the cb that it's only 50% accurate 4 days before period and I'm not due on til Thursday.

peperethecat · 16/05/2020 10:27

Fingers crossed that your test turns positive tomorrow or on Monday. 🤞

HoldingOn2Hope · 16/05/2020 10:59

@peperethecat 🤞🏽 xx

Ladies should I continue with the meds for today? Pred and progynova until I take a frer tomorrow? I'm going to try and venture out and go and find one!

Countrygirl220 · 16/05/2020 11:24

@HoldingOn2Hope I agree with the others, I'm not sure the clear blue is as accurate as the FRER so keep testing, keeping everything crossed for you!

HarrietM87 · 16/05/2020 13:26

@HoldingOn2Hope I wouldn’t take the pred today because you risk messing up your cycle or not pregnant and missing a day will do no harm if you are pregnant

HarrietM87 · 16/05/2020 13:27

*if not pregnant

Ultra26 · 16/05/2020 13:35

Morning All, Does anyone know if the nurses at DrS work on Saturdays?

HoldingOn2Hope · 16/05/2020 13:37

@HarrietM87 ok thanks. It says to continue progynova for day 24 on my notes - it sure why but I'll take them today and stop tomorrow if frer is neg.

@Ultra26 the clinic isn't open on weekends so no nurses on a Saturday. Xx

Ultra26 · 16/05/2020 13:39

Great thanks. I was expecting an email yesterday with details of an appointment for mkneday morning but have not heard back. We live 3 hours away so I hope they let us know first thing.

HoldingOn2Hope · 16/05/2020 14:20

@Ultra26 they are not very good at replying to emails! I had to have a rant a few months ago as was waiting to hear whether I could start the pred while on antibiotics, had to call them a couple of times before they replied! So made a point of it at my next app!

Ultra26 · 16/05/2020 15:06

No they really aren't and I guess it's because they're so busy but it is frustration. We will have to see what happens Monday morning. Hope everyone else is alright @Countrygirl220 did you have intralipids done with this pregnancy?
