Hi who else is testing from the 19th? It's amazing how lonely ttc can be when you're trying to stay chill and calm with your partner ❤️

Welcome ladies 😁 I had twinges throughout the night last night but trying a different approach this month (thinking of other things instead of pregnancy to explain my symptoms) to avoid disappointment this month. Think I am out already though at the twinges are similar to what I have last month before my AF.

Going to wait until my AF is late before testing I think 🙈 The 19th still seems so long away!!

EllaCee · 11/01/2020 08:17

Hi all, also tentatively joining the thread... I’m currently 6DPO (apparently), but CD35. First cycle seriously TTC, but have followed my cycles a while - and typically this time I ovulated a week later than usual! Trying to wait until the 18th to test, fingers crossed there’s some BFPs in the thread!!

@Dollywantsareallifedolly I think the tactic of finding out what non-pregnancy thing could cause the symptoms is a good one! I’m symptom spotting already (TMI but the other night I woke up from some awful night sweats for the first time ever), but trying the same thing as you suggest. Not that it’s stopping me getting carried away...

FromTheMist · 11/01/2020 09:42

Hi ladies, can I join you all please?

AF due 22nd, so trying to hold off testing until the 19th (would rather do it at the weekend!).

Started trying last May and caught first time, but ended in mmc at 12 weeks. Took months to get my period back and now on 3rd cycle trying again. It's my last chance to get pregnant again before my original due date so here's hoping 🤞

Good luck to you all ladies xx

danielasummer · 11/01/2020 10:05

@caithnini thank you lovely, wishing you luck too x

@Mp0304 hi OP, I'm doing ok thanks, how are you? Said I wouldn't symptom spot but have just spent the better part of an hour on fertility friend tracking my symptoms haha.. the crazy in me has begun. I'm pretty certain I'm out this month though as I don't feel strange like I did in my last pregnancy (ended in miscarriage) but we shall see. How are you doing? Sounds like you DTD at the right times! x

danielasummer · 11/01/2020 10:07

@FromTheMist couldn't read your post and not reply. Hi, I'm so sorry for your miscarriage.. you're not alone, I'm now TTC after a missed miscarriage in October. Sending you so much love and hand-hold. I feel we're both so brave for starting this journey again and I'm pleased to hear your periods are now back. Be kind to yourself, thinking of you x

FromTheMist · 11/01/2020 10:57

@danielasummer aww thanks so much. I'm so sorry to hear you've been through a miscarriage too. It's a truly difficult time and I don't think it's something you can truly understand unless you've been through it.

Completely agree, we are really brave going through this again. We just need to keep positive - just because it's happened before doesn't necessarily mean it will happen again.

I wish you all the best for a bfp this month xx

BeccaE · 11/01/2020 11:09

Good morning ladies! How is everyone feeling today? I woke up feeling convinced this is not my month for some reason - obviously hardly a conclusive test but that’s how today is feeling.

To those of you starting again after a miscarriage, I can only hope I would have your courage in your situation. Really hope this month is good to you x

chlo04 · 11/01/2020 11:24

Morning ladies!

So I've also woken up feeling like it's just not my month this month! I've been ill the last week and have now read that ovulation can be delayed or even stopped because of this :(! Doesn't help I only have one tube so feel like it's half a chance every month anyways!

What's everyone doing to take their minds off things this weekend?

Mum2B36 · 11/01/2020 13:12

Morning. I feel for all you ladies who have had miscarriages. One of my close friends has just been through a miscarriage and I can only imagine how hard it is. Sending love.

This week I have struggled sleeping. I normally sleep through no problem and this week I keep waking up at 4:30/5 am and can’t get back to sleep. Dont know if it’s just my brain on overdrive.... or me potentially symptom spotting again!

Ktn35 · 11/01/2020 19:45

Hi ladies. Your opinions please! Anyone else had this? I'm getting some really really strange cramps and twinges. I had them last night and now again this evening. Not like period pain at all. The closest thing I can compare it to is very very early labour contractions. Is this a good thing? 😬

Mum2B36 · 11/01/2020 22:16

Hi @Ktn35 I feel like I have been getting cramps as well - but I would compare them to more like period pain. Having never been in labour I wouldn’t know what early labour pains are like! Also boobs feel very swollen and painful today. Fingers crossed these are all good signs for us!

SanFrancisco49er · 11/01/2020 23:01

@Ktn35 when i conceived last July I had a day of really strong twinges in my left side, almost making me wince. This was on the day my period was due but it never came! So it could be a good sign.
1 week to go...

Dollywantsareallifedolly · 12/01/2020 09:38

Morning ladies, I'm afraid I will he checking out this morning. AF showed up almost a week early! Always such a pleasure to see her... NOT! Worst of days today too as at a Christening. I swear of someone says 'it will be you two next' I will dunk their head in the holy water ! Best of luck ladies Flowers

SanFrancisco49er · 12/01/2020 09:43

@Dollywantsareallifedolly I'm so sorry to hear that. Wishing you lots of luck for the future xxx

BeccaE · 12/01/2020 11:06

@Dollywantsareallifedolly sorry to hear that. I guess the bright side is you know and can get started on next month early but definitely wouldn’t blame you for dunking people today!

Mp0304 · 12/01/2020 11:39

@Dollywantsareallifedolly Sorry to hear this - think of it as a positive to get started early ready for your next cycle! I also tested negative this morning, a rubbish day! X

Dollywantsareallifedolly · 12/01/2020 12:06

Thank you ladies 😊 sorry about your negative @Mp0304 it's so disheartening isn't it 😣

Candlelove · 12/01/2020 12:24

Hi, AF due 19th for me so hoping I wait until then to test! Getting inpatient already, don't want to wish time away but just want to know! Hope you're all having a lovely weekend ♥️

SunStruck · 12/01/2020 13:57

May I join? 😄

AF is due on Thursday (16th), my luteal phase is short at 10 days. I think I'll try wait until Saturday 19th to test if my period hasn't arrived.

TTC our first, I've had a MMC at 10 weeks last year and then a mc (early natural) in October, so we're hoping for a 2020 baby...

Mum2B36 · 12/01/2020 20:46

Confession! Ok so I caved (I know I shouldn’t have) and I used a first response 7 days before AF is due and after I had drunk a pint of orange squash (so not best timing) ... but I think I can see a faint line! I’m trying to not get my hopes up - i feel like I could be seeing things, although DH can see it as well, or it could be a chemical pregnant. I’ve also read on Mumsnet of people getting false positives when testing so early!

Anyway I feel super guilty for doing a test so early especially when you ladies are staying so strong - - and now getting my hopes up maybe for no reason. Trying to stay chilled.

Just thought I would confess and confide with you lovely ladies.

BeccaE · 12/01/2020 22:45

@Mum2B36 don’t feel guilty! It’s your journey and there’s nothing wrong with testing early if that’s what you want to do. That’s so exciting - really, really hope you get confirmation! Let us know how you go, everything crossed for you x

lc86 · 13/01/2020 07:54

Amazing to hear about all your bfp's.. my AF is due 18/01.. I took an frer this morning and a Bfn 😢 don't know why I put myself through it. Hope you all have better news than me xx

chlo04 · 13/01/2020 08:49

Morning ladies!

Congrats on the very faint line! Let's hope it all progresses! Sorry to those who are out this month! Fingers crossed next month is your month! Also on the bright side, if your period comes earlier it means you will ovulate earlier!!! So hopefully your be pregnant next month earlier than expected!

I've got the sniffles still! Very unusual for someone like me who has high NK cells!!

I suppose I'm probably clutching straws again this month but I keep secretly hoping it is my month.

I'm not putting myself through the heartache of early testing this month so I have decided to wait till 10DPO as advised by my consultant, although I'm pretty sure I'm out!

CM has dried up, cervix is firm! So all signs AF is on the way!

Typical! How is everyone feeling today? Starting to think I should have had the day off work! I feel super rough today!

BeccaE · 13/01/2020 09:50

@chlo04 sorry to hear you're not feeling well, waiting is bad enough without feeling rough!

I have woken up with a headache and a weird slightly metallic taste in my mouth. Probably nothing as I didn't get much sleep (my husband's uncle sadly died last night, very expected and probably a blessing considering his condition but still sad) which is probably why I'm feeling rough.

Now at 8DPO and getting impatient!

How is everyone else doing? x

riromay · 13/01/2020 11:35

I've joined to reply to this thread. I will be testing at the end of the month..

I think/hope I was ovulating when my app said I did. Trying to conceive baby no 2, and the first baby only took one month to conceive.. so now I am super looking forward to my first test. Although I know that statistically it's not always that easy, and I am afraid I will be really disappointed.

With my first one I was expecting a long wait and this time I'm expecting no wait and don't want to be disappointed Xmas Sad
