Hi Ladies, any of you out there around cd 8 looking for someone to chat with during the rollercoaster ride that is ttc? A lot of my friends already have kids and I’m feeling a bit left behind. xo

My apps are telling I won't ovulate until the 17th feels like it's never coming but still getting unusual every 2/3 days

Hope it’s ok if I jump in here too! Second cycle trying for first baby - 6dpo today. I was feeling positive about it all until I was scanned last week and they seen a potential tubal blockage on the right side, unsure about the left. I work in a fertility clinic and know the potential outcomes of this so it’s upset me a good bit. Getting a referral to see a consultant in the next couple of months but feel like giving up - sorry for being a moan! Wishing everyone the best of luck this cycle!

@Wintergal my apps told me I wouldn’t ovulate until Sun/Mon, however I got a + opk lastnight, just waiting to see if I have a temp rise in the morning to confirm ov. Only on cd 12 which is quite unusual for me.

Hi @AfterGlow87. Never worry about having a good moan - that’s why we’re all here! Fingers crossed that once you see the consultant all is ok. If ever you want to let off some steam you know where we are x

@Sammiantha2020 how much should your temperature increase by ?

God knows! This is my first month measuring bbt, however apparently the FF app will confirm ovulation within the next cpl of days once I’ve added tomorrow & Friday’s temps! I guess my cycles are still rather messed up after my mmc in October - ah well! Means I’ll only have managed to dtd 2 days before ov! x

How do you find the FF app?

It’s ok...other girls I chat with on other forums told me it was the best for recording bbt & it’ll pinpoint ovulation after it occurs. Whereas using opk’s only doesn’t confirm ovulation, only that you’ve had an LH Surge, though you can have a surge & not ovulate 😔 I didn’t know this until last month!
Do you use any apps?

I have clue and Flo but both give me different information which is annoying

@Sammiantha2020 the app is telling my window is not until a week today we be have been doing the DTD everyday two days. The waiting is so annoying! Am on CD13

I don’t usually ov until cd 17-19, however this month I ov’d on cd12 🤯 confirmed with opks & bbt thermometer - weird! Not much chance of a bfp tho as we only dtd almost 3 days b4 as I thought it was too early 😔. How’s this cycle treating you?

Hey gals can I join in? @Sammiantha2020 I feel like I’m very much in the same boat as you- in my 2nd cycle trying since I had my MMC at 12 weeks in October. We only tried for a few months to get pregnant last year and I never used OPK until after my MMC. Really hoping to get pregnant again soon, I’ve come a long way since the miscarriage but I still feel like I won’t be fully happy till I’m pregnant again. Got a BFN after trying at Christmas and then AF arrived as normal. But on CD12 now so hopefully starting my fertile window this week. Fingers crossed for all of us, it can be a lonely road!

Hey @Brodijen of course you can join ☺️. I’m so sorry to hear about your mmc it’s devastating! Onwards & upwards though as we will all get our BFP’s in 2020!! I would high recommend a bbt thermometer for your next cycle IF you aren’t lucky this month ( 🤞). This is my 3rd cycle trying since mmc & strangely ov’d on cd12... a bit gutted as I was much later previously so a bit of a surprise ...it was almost 3 days prior to ov since we last dtd 😔. I’m always here if you ever want to vent! x

Naw I not consistent with as an not u at the same time some days 530am som 7am

Thanks so much @Sammiantha2020, here’s to BFP’s in 2020!! I haven’t really read or researched basal thermometers before, OPK’s were a new thing to me this time around so just getting my head around them. How tricky or reliable are they?

@Brodijen hey I understand it’s all quite daunting I just mean I really didn’t know where I was until I started bbt this month as apparently you can have an LH surge with opks & not actually ov whereas with bbt it actually shows it’s happened. Did you tell many folk about your mmc? x

@sammiantha2020 Yeah we did. I felt like I had lied to people for so long during the first 12 weeks so it was easier to be honest. Plus I knew I’d need as much support as I could to get through it, and it did help. How about you? I’m so sorry for your loss x

@Brodijen we told a cpl of close friends (as they had gone through it only a few days after us 😔), our parents & my work as I needed some time off for the surgery. We talk about it a fair bit together which is nice as I don’t want to just forget... we were both so excited. Hoping for some good news soon ☺️, but also will have the fear it happens again... sure you know what I mean? x
