TTC number two... still breastfeeding. I temped with Baby 1 but this time going on ewcm and rise in libido! Cycles are pretty regular but slightly long at 32-35 days but they've always been like that. Periods returned when my greedy EBF baby was only 4 months and have been like clockwork. Baby is now 18 months old.

Anyone wishing to join and just about starting the 2 week wait are welcome!

@dizzy85
Oh don't be silly! I love seeing lines! So happy for you!
I'm better thank you, today seems to be the last day of bleeding ☺️ not sure when I'm gonna ovulate so I think we're just gonna dtd every other night or something. Just wanna get back into the swing of things now xx

Swife · 14/04/2020 21:32

@dizzy85 congrats 🎉😀! 🤞🏽🙏🏽🧚🏽‍♀️

dizzy85 · 14/04/2020 21:44

@Sho2207 Thankyou again❤️I'm gonna do another test in the morning and hopefully it's got darker. Ah that's good you are feeling a bit better and ready to get stuck back in again. I really hope it happens again soon for you. I'll still be here watching for you lots bfps 🧚🧚🧚

dizzy85 · 14/04/2020 21:46

@Swife Thankyou 🥰 I'm really hoping this is 3rd time lucky and all is ok🤞🏻 it's hard to just relax and be excited at the moment but I am really happy it's happened. How are you doing have you tested or still waiting?

Sho2207 · 14/04/2020 22:00

@dizzy85

I'm sure it will 🥰

Yeah I've heard that you need to wait for hcg levels to drop back down to normal before your cycle starts again, I did a test this morning to make sure they were going down and got a 2-3 so still got another week maybe before it's dropped low enough.
I'm feeling positive though ☺️ xx

Swife · 15/04/2020 18:52

@dizzy85 I tested first on the 11th since on app said my AF was supposed to show o the 12th and BFN. I vowed not to test again but curiosity got the best of me and I tested yesterday since my Femometer app said I'm to start today, I tested yesterday and still a BFN. I no longer think I'm prego. I just think that this is yet another messed up cycle😒. If it surpasses the only 40 day cycle I had 3 cycles ago then I'll call my OBGYN and see what we should do next. Maybe I may test if I hit a week late past today. The only symptom I notice is that my cervix is soft and goes from medium to low throughout the day.

I have Endometriosis so who knows what's happening. This will be my 12 cycle. I'm 39 with family history of women starting menopause early. I have one tube. 2 ectopics, 1 MC, 1 non viable. I'm not really sad and I wanna keep trying, but the odds are definitely stacked against me and it's frustrating.

Swife · 16/04/2020 02:36

Update: So I'm more and more sure that my Femometer app is the most reliable app I have. From cervix checks and last experience with my cervix with last pregnancy, I knew I wasn't pregnant but I was starting to get more worried again about Luther issues. But AF, it seems, is right on time. I do need to know what's off though especially since I know i covered( except for the day after o)🤔. I'm still leaning towards my cm not being fertile enough. Oh well, time to start over.

dizzy85 · 17/04/2020 10:32

@Sho2207 how are things going? I'm glad your feeling more positive now, was that 2-3 on a weeks test you mean? Hopefully not long now to start again 🤞🏻🥰

@Swife how are you doing? Did af start? Did you find out about or try the ph wash thing you mentioned a while ago about for the cm? I have known of people to get pregnant in their 40s and go on to have healthy pregnancy and baby so I wouldn't worry about your age and my sister has endometriosis but she got pregnant first time trying and babies 1 next month. Try not to focus on any negatives x

Sho2207 · 17/04/2020 18:22

@dizzy85 hey! Feeling good thanks, how are you? Lines getting stronger?
Yeah 2-3 weeks, did another this morning and the line was faded so getting there ☺️

dizzy85 · 17/04/2020 18:48

@Sho2207 aw that's good to hear❤️. I'm having abit of a nightmare today I've been freaking out, I had really uncomfortable thighs and lower back and tummy sort of dull aching but the kind I get before af starts that started on off yesterday then today it's been the same but I got some spotting when I've been wiping and now I'm convinced it's gonna end it's bloody horrible. I ran out of frers today so used a cheaper one I had there's a line but I wanna get some more frers tomorrow to check the progression on the same tests.

Swife · 17/04/2020 20:39

@dizzy85 Af did start on the 15th like my Femometer app said. I think I'm gonna invest money in that one. I have two that read my ovulation tests, but Femometer seems to be the most accurate. I'm okay with the outcome especially since I actually got egg white CM this cycle 😊. I didn't try the ph wash like mom suggested but I did add zinc, calcium, magnesium, more vitamin c, flaxseed and fish oil to my routine. It seems to have worked👍🏽. I'm also saving to get the OvuSense. After almost 2 years of research it, I think it may work for me. Of course I'm a little sad but I'm a bit more optimistic since the new changes seem to have yielded some promising results. Today is cd3 so I will be starting my Letrozole which helps with ovulation. My mom also mention ICI(home insemination)

Sho2207 · 17/04/2020 23:12

@dizzy85

I think a week after I found out I was pregnant I had spotting and cramps too! I put it down to implantation, so it's most likely the same for you☺️ try not to worry, I know it's easier said than done. We all tell each other not to worry but it never works 😂 let me know how you get on 🥰

Sho2207 · 18/04/2020 23:50

Ladies,
Does anyone know when ovulation occurs after a miscarriage?

I've heard two stories

  1. First day of bleeding is cycle day one, so two weeks from then roughly start trying to conceive.
  1. From when the hcg hormone is out the system I class that as cycle day 1..

I'm very confused because I just don't know when to start trying, I feel like me and OH are just gonna have to dtd every other day until I assume I'm gonna start AF🤷🏻‍♀️

It makes sense for the second option to be correct because the hormone stops ovulation from occurring but I've only seen this answer the once. Everywhere else is saying from when you start bleeding.. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Swife · 19/04/2020 09:51

@Sho2207 Having been in your shoes, I can can give you the info my OBGYN gave me. Let your AF return and then you're safely good to go. This is for your safe and full recovery. Waiting for both your HCG levels to go down as well as waiting till your AF shows allows your uterus to clean itself, therefore allowing for complete recovery.

dizzy85 · 19/04/2020 10:47

@Sho2207 I was going to say what @Swife has just said. I've always been told to wait until you've had a period so it's all naturally cleaned out, I know some people that have fallen straight after and been ok but I think they say that to minimise any further problems to make sure everything from previous has definitely passed. How are you doing?

I'm not doing so good at the minute, I think I'm slowly miscarrying and it's doing my head in. Can I ask if you don't mind talking about it, how yours started? If you don't want to talk about it I completely understand though.
I've had the mmc but that was different as I was almost 3 months and I had a CP few months ago but that was over really quick like a late period. But this I've been slowly spotting for 3 days now and I'm starting to feel heavy in my uterus like period is coming. I'm just scared of what to expect even though I've had stuff before.

Sho2207 · 19/04/2020 11:18

@Swife
Yeah that makes sense! Thank you! It's so hard not to jump straight into dtd every other night 😂

@dizzy85
Thank you!
Mine started a week before actually passing any tissue, was dark brown spotting, then turned into discharge within a couple days, after 6 days of having that It started to turn pink and then had full flow the next day, with the added cramps and passing of the sac.

I had spotting for roughly 6 days, it was a week after getting a positive test, with cramps too. I also thought I was gonna miscarry. It's so hard when most the twinges you get in early pregnancy also feels very much like af is showing.

Have you taken another test?

Swife · 19/04/2020 11:42

@Sho2207 glad to be able to help😊! And for love sake, do DTD, just try to avoid pregnancy. I know it defeats our whole TTC journey, to avoid pregnancy, but it keeps intimacy in the forefront which also helps each other cope too😍.

@dizzy85, I know with the virus issue that doctor visits are hard, but given the circumstances is there any health care professional you can contact? If you find that you are miscarrying, for future references, and from your history, you may want to think about adding Progesterone vaginally as soon as you find that you're pregnant. I say this from my own experience, my OBGYN found that my Progesterone level was low with my last loss and that's when she put me on it. During my cycle I take it on days 13-27 orally( just for back up, not going through menopause), but once I get a positive pregnancy test I have to switch and use it vaginally to help prevent miscarriage.
I pray miscarriage is not the case for you right now. Pls try to stay calm and find a way to destress.🤞🏽🧚🏽‍♀️🙏🏽

dizzy85 · 19/04/2020 11:43

@Sho2207 Thankyou, that is helpful to know. Did you have to go into see anyone or did they just tell you to wait it out? It's a week since I got my faint positive today aswell. I have tested again but I only had a random cheap test so I feel until I have more frers I can't tell if it's gotten lighter compared to the ones before, I'm gonna get some today and do one in the morning. It's such a horrible feeling.

dizzy85 · 19/04/2020 11:49

@Swife Thankyou ❤️ I hope it's not but I just got that horrible gut feeling. I have looked into the low progesterone thing but not been able to get any tests for it. If this does end, the only good thing to come out of it is that after 3 miscarriages my dr said they then do tests. So if it's the case I am not leaving until they test everything including the progesterone. I've been telling my dr for a few years now I think my hormones are unbalanced and he has tested for psos twice but it's not that and just says maybe it's stress, but you know in your own body when something is out. I'm gonna call my drs in the morning and see what advise they can give. Hopefully by some miracle I'm wrong but it's not looking good I don't think.
Hope your doing ok

Sho2207 · 19/04/2020 11:56

@dizzy85 so for the first lot of spotting I had, I didn't consult anyone, because it was so early I thought if it's happening then it's happening and that's what they would also probably say 🙄
For the second lot of spotting I gave it a day or two before calling my doctors, they asked a couple questions about the discharge I was getting and then asked if it was something I was worried about, to which I said yes.
They then booked me in for my early scan.
My OH was telling me how his auntie bled full flows all throughout her 5 pregnancies and everything was fine. She had also had miscarried at around the late 20 week mark and had to give birth to a poor baby with half a head, but this was before all 5 healthy babies. Throughout my scares I tried to just think of that.

It the spotting pink? Or brownish?

dizzy85 · 19/04/2020 12:11

@Sho2207 did you go during the lockdown for your scan? I'm scared to have to go anywhere at the moment I hate even going to the supermarket.
Oh god how truly awful what that poor lady went through 😞 it's so sad. But also good that she went on to have 5 healthy babies.
It's pinkish mostly but then it's been like a very light red aswell. I keep thinking it's getting heavier but i don't think it is I think it's just where it's there every time I wipe.

Sho2207 · 19/04/2020 14:34

@dizzy85
I did yeah, honestly it's nothing to worry about, I have never seen the hospital so quiet in my life.
I was in the emergency scan ward and it was me and one other lady sat at the opposite end of the room. They also check your temp before going in which is reassuring. If it's only there when you wipe then that's good, it's not getting heavier.

Just keep an eye on it I'd say, I don't know if the doctors would be able to do anything this early on apart from advise you to rest.
I'm sure it's just implantation, cervix is just getting rid of everything it doesn't need xx

dizzy85 · 19/04/2020 15:03

@Sho2207 I still have a tiny bit of hope but I'm definitely preparing myself for the worst. I'll still ring the dr tomorrow just to let them know and I'm hoping they just say to wait it out and see and maybe if nothing's happened they'll do a scan. I was going to get more frers today but the chemist is shut so I'll have to hold tomorrow and go get some.
Just gotta keep everything crossed now and hope for the best xx
