So I'm a very keen bean, as it would seem, as I am (unfortunately) on CD1! Glorious AF arrived today..yay..

So looking at my app I am due to take a HPT mid January. Would anyone like to join me?

27, DH 28
TTC #1 following a MMC in October
Track BBT and CM
Will use SMEP this cycle

@Ellabella234 different opks say different times. I know clear blue say FMU. The cheapie opks say not FMU. I'd say 4-6pm are the best times. That's when I have picked up my peaks most. However I think it's all luck

I'm not sure about the lines that aren't really dark. I can have super light line and then a medium line within 2 hours of eachother. Doesn't seem to be a pattern with mine x

@maidmummy the one and only time I spotted with ovulation was on the day of ovulation, so it's also good to do it the few days before to increase the chances. I am also 1dpo today 😀

I spot for 2 days and we've DTD everyday for the last 9 days and plan to for the next week just in case lol, think it should fully cover us then.

Hope you're all doing ok! I've totally ditched the OPKs and just DTD every day until I see a temp rise.. have DTD every day (minus one or two days) for the last 2 weeks, no temp rise yet, starting to get impatient! Fingers crossed for us all x

Wow you've both done well to dtd everyday! We've had a few days running and then every other day. So annoying when you don't know when you ovulate to time it right isn't it :/ I'm never organised enough to take my temp before I get out of bed 🙈 awaiting my peak OPK tomoro before I officially give up on them too

I just cannot DTD every day for longer than 5 days...zero chance 😂😂 it's just not happening

Even after 5 days I'm like urghhh no more! Maybe this is where we are going wrong 🤣

So I still have flashing smiley face but no peak?! Anyone had this 3 days running? After a peak does it instantly go back down to negative or does it slide back down to flashing then zero?
You're doing really well ladies! Don't put too much pressure on yourself though, don't they say to do it every other day so the sperm is in good quantity? Although I feel your pain of not knowing exactly when you're ovulating so end up wanting to dtd every day to cover yourself 😂

@Elly88 I have no idea regards the flashing smiley but Google reckons the flashing smiley indicates a detected rise in estrogen and will keep flashing until it detects a spike in LH once detected the static smiley will appear and stay until LH starts to return to non ovulation levels which should then change back to zero. Good old Google eh lol. Maybe you had a really short surge or its about to happen soon x

@maidmummy oh well done! So I guess if it's stays static smiley then goes negative I can't have missed it yet if still flashing? Just so confusing cos why did I only get one day of ewcm 3 days ago if I haven't ovulated yet 🙈 I swear these OPKs only confuse things for us lol.
What CD is everyone on now? CD 14 here but think I do ovulate slightly earlier as I have 27 day cycles usually

@Elly88 Maybe the ewcm was your body gearing up to ovulate but delayed it for some reason and now with the flashing smileys it's trying again. I'm cd17 and 2dpo with on off cramps and twinges 🤞 It's a good sign for me x

@maidmummy perhaps! From my app though it looks like I usually get ewcm few days earlier than when I'm due to ovulate so I wonder if the OPKs are wrong 🤔 when I had ds I was slightly further along than what my app said. Have to wait and see! If still flashing would you dtd again today do you think? Or give it a rest and wait to see if static smile tomoro?

I've been reading this post and decided to join in! We are currently TTC #1 and am currently 4DPO. Expecting AF on 14th Jan.
Going to try and wait until 10DPO to take an early test! So around 9th Jan! My tummy has certainly felt different these past couple days... will be keeping my fingers crossed for myself and all of you x

@elly88 some people never get the static. I've read loads about it when I used them before. As you only test once a day with clear blue you can miss the peak

I would DTD when it is flashing just incase

I personally would recommend the cheap internet opks over the clear blue. Clear blue is really confusing and it was wrong for me 3 times

The cheap opks have been correct for the last 2 months for me

@luckywright I am 2dpo, AF due 16th (ish) I am going to hold it off until AF due as I have driven myself crazy previous months testing too early..hopefully I can wait it out 🤣 xx

@myttcjourney yes it's pinky in real life. Confusing - it has two pink dots at the top and bottom and a faint line in between. I'm not sure how many dpo I am because my cycles can vary from 30-42days and have been as long as 56. If I went by it being another 32 day cycle like it was the month before last (last month was 44..) then I would've ovulated on day 19 so I'd be 12dpo today I think. More photos x

Thanks @myttcjourney yes was thinking we should dtd today as still flashing smiley and ovulation day according to app. But I do think I've already ovulated. Any who, 2ww starts now. Due on 17th Jan but got my bfp 10dpo with ds so I'll try to hold off at lest till then. So hard tho isn't it even tho it's worse when you get a bfn that teeny tiny chance of a super early bfp wins out each time 😂🙄
I should really be passing the time focusing on slimming down a little and not tucking into the celebration box 🙈

@Elly88 it is a frer! I opened it up...! I've read so much on it not effecting them and to be honest either way i think it's pink...? I don't think evaps can go pink can they?x

How exciting for you, annoyingly, there's not much else to do except wait it out and test again tomoro or couple days :/ I haven't ever had an evap line myself so no idea what they look like but if it's pink then defo a good sign!
