@Kangaroo77 Are you still hopeful? Any symptoms? X

Do you think it's safe for us to have a night off DTD as been feeling the ovulation pain last couple of days and it's now CD 15?

KristieP2018 · 23/05/2020 11:02

Umm What? Positive ovulation test on 5 May. Cramping on and off since Tuesday. Period was due a few days ago but I've been irregular so wasn't thinking much about it. Took a FRER yesterday after seeing a shadow on a wondfo. Are you seeing this? Odd the FRER isn't any darker but the wondfo and cb show up?

Hi everyone

I was on this forum for a while. I've changed my name. I'm 43 now, had a loss last year but now trying one last time

I've been taking ubiquiniol and this month didn't get a positive opk AF is now late but BFN. Might be uniquinol messing with my cycle

I can see something on your tests @KristieP2018

anaconda76 · 23/05/2020 12:31

Hi. I haven't posted on here for about a year because I needed to take a step back from the ttc stress. I stopped doing OPKs and stopped taking Ubiquinol but continued trying. It felt hopeless though because my hubby works away a lot and it has always taken me ages to get pregnant. I'll be 44 next week and I'm currently 4w5d and terrified. I want this baby so badly.

anaconda76 · 23/05/2020 12:45

@KristieP2018 I can see the FRER is a positive. Congrats! I did another test today and I'm a bit concerned because my lines are not much darker than on Tues.
@Usedtobehmmm I only took Ubiquinol for 2 months because I was convinced it was changing my cycle.

usedtobehmmm · 23/05/2020 12:53

Congrats @anaconda76 so hope it all works out for you

What happened to your cycles with uniquinol I've been taking it about 4 months .. all fine 25/26 day cycles and ovulating day 14 but this month no ovulation detected and now cd32 ...

Don't know whether to stop it or not!

anaconda76 · 23/05/2020 13:06

@usedtobehmmm thanks. Smile With Ubiquinol my cycles got a little longer and in the second month I didn't get a positive on my OPK which hadn't happened before. I know a lot of people have had no problems with it though.

lucieloos · 23/05/2020 13:08

@KristieP2018 I kind of see something on the frers but I have found them so bad recently compared to how they used to be. I'm finding that they are giving evap lines every time and on my most recent cycle I had stronger lines than those that turned out to be evap so I would be tempted to say they are evap sorry but obviously really hope I'm wrong. How many dpo are you?

@anaconda76 amazing! Really hope everything works out for you.

KristieP2018 · 23/05/2020 13:16

@lucieloos I should be 15 or 16 dpo. I got the other two brands because I know of indents on FRER. I have a clear pink line on the wondfo and can see a blue line on the clearblue too. They’re both 10miu so fingers crossed!

anaconda76 · 23/05/2020 13:26

@lucieloos thanks. I saw your message about how long it takes ttc. When I was 30 it took a year to get pregnant but had MMC at 10wks. It took another year to get pregnant with DD1. One month with DD2 when I was 33. Ttc for over a year but then MC. Another 19 months of ttc before DD3. This time it has been almost 3 years of trying but I put that down to my husband's job rather than my age.

anaconda76 · 23/05/2020 13:39

He started working away from home when I was pregnant with DD3 but he's been working from home for the last 2 months.

lucieloos · 23/05/2020 13:53

@KristieP2018 sorry I don't meant to sound negative. Just had an awful time with the evaps lately. Frers are good from a certain point in your cycle though and I think they would be showing a clear line by now. That's just my own experience though and I really really hope I'm wrong.

@anaconda76 that's amazing. I think we prob rushed to ivf to be honest as we had probably been trying a year if that but I had short cycles and so had more like 16 cycles in a year rather than 12 if you see what I mean and was 35 and panicked as didn't have any children. I'm debating on whether to try ivf again for the third but we really can't afford it especially for such low odds now. It makes me sad the thought I probably won't ever have a third but I realise how lucky I am. I think the best thing for us to do is try naturally and accept whatever the outcome may be even if that's really hard.

KristieP2018 · 23/05/2020 13:58

@lucieloos no worries xx

claireb707 · 23/05/2020 18:31

I was taking ubiquinol for 2 months but stopped last week as my cycles had been getting longer and longer and then I'm not 100% sure I ovulated this last month

Went from 30-32 day cycles to 44 days this month. So will see what happens this coming cycle

lucieloos · 23/05/2020 21:33

I was going to order some ubiquinol but not so sure now.

CritterTamer · 24/05/2020 08:07

I've taken ubiquinol at a dose anywhere between 300 and 600 over the past couple of years, and never once has it delayed ovulation or lengthened my annoyingly short luteal phase.

aprilfoolsbaby · 24/05/2020 10:02

Hi everyone. I was on here last year, got pregnant in august but then miscarried at 11 weeks. It's taken a while to get over it but I've just turned 42 so we're giving it another go. I'm 9 dpo and have cramping and spotting though this has happened the last two months also. My moods have been terrible - I don't if this gets worse as you get older or if being at home 24/7 means we are all much more in tune with our cycles.

WishingonaStar77 · 24/05/2020 10:06

Hi there, I haven't posted on here since early last year as I successfully got my BFP which stuck and resulted in my beautiful baby girl born last November.
We started trying again for #2 mainly because of my age (42).
Since I had my daughter thought my periods have shortened. Ovulation is still occuring according to the OPK's but it occurs much later like CD 16/17 and my lutal phase is only 8/9 days at best! It was shorter before but still 12 days.. I'm taking vitamin B6 and the same protocol of suppliments from before, only thing I'm not doing is my acupuncture.
Anyone experienced this and got any advice?
Good to see so many familiar names on here still, this group was so comforting to me during my journey to conceive my first x

CritterTamer · 24/05/2020 12:08

@WishingonaStar77 congrats on your daughter xxx

Have you been breastfeeding? I stopped breastfeeding my twins in December and cycles have been odd since and only now returned to normal (the same might apply even if you haven't been BFing I guess). Before my pregnancy I always ovulated day 13 and had a10 day LP. Once my cycles returned is ovulating day 14-16 and had a LP of 4-8 days. The last two cycles have been back to normal so you might just need a bit more time.

WishingonaStar77 · 24/05/2020 12:24

@CritterTamer thanks we feel very blessed.
But that's very similar to me, I ovulated on day 13 like clockwork and LP was around 12 days.
I have not breastfed so my periods returned quite quickly within about 6 weeks but since then (last 6 months) I've had this problem. Hopefully then just a little longer and they'll get back to normal 🤞 x

Kangaroo77 · 25/05/2020 09:25

Morning all. I'm out this month, af arrived 2 days early. Gutted. On to next month. Good luck the rest of you xxx

Wallaby78 · 26/05/2020 15:42

Shame @Kangaroo77 , on to next month as you say, sending positive vibes your way

Congrats @Starlight39 , wishing you all the very best! x

TheFoz · 29/05/2020 19:57

Hi all, AF due today and I had a hunch so I did a test and totally unexpectedly, BFP!! I can’t quite believe it!

Hoping41 · 29/05/2020 21:23

Hi ladies. Can I join you? I'm 41, partner 37 ttc #1. We've been trying since last may - when I turned 40 - but there's been a few months we've missed due to illness etc. We're using smep for the first time this month and I worry now that we finished the bd too early in previous months. I had thought we were to bd for the 3 days before the tests showed a surge. It's all very stressful as time is well and truly running out. Poor OH is getting stressed by my stress!
I am on cd12, due to ovulate tomorrow.
It's really good to see read about others on the same journey as me 🙂

anaconda76 · 31/05/2020 20:55

@TheFoz that's brilliant! Keeping my fingers crossed for you. x

Hi @Hoping41. I stopped talking to my DH about ttc because I realised it was stressing him out. He preferred blissful ignorance.
