@niclondon1 - I had to take clexane (which I think is the same thing as heparin) injections for the first 12 weeks of my pregnancy due to ohss, then again from week 28 onwards into 6 weeks post partum. They were awfull but you do get used to them! The worst part was having to put them in my (twin sized) bump towards the end - it was terrifying lol.

Catclock · 13/12/2019 19:52

Hello everyone reading updates and plodding on here myself. We're a hardy bunch aren't we.

@MaryShelley1818 hope Disneyland was fab!

Catclock · 14/12/2019 09:10

Hmmmm I've been taking Coq10 (ubiquinol ubiqinone whatever it is) for like 2 years or something. In various amounts depending on pre ov / my mood/ what I could get hold of etc.. But I'm suspicious of the ones off the internet. I don't know why... I order veggie /vegan ones and the kind I usually get (off amazon) has stopped so I've got some new ones today and they're totally different, they look better, better packing, better quality. I hope I haven't previously been wasting my money, and time!

Mystie · 14/12/2019 10:58

@Catclock which ones did you order? I am taking the ones recommended by Luisa Zizzmann on her maybe baby blog no idea if they're doing anything tho!

burntpinky · 14/12/2019 11:01

Tried to post here the other day and it said thread closed!

Having a weird month - spotting started day 22 of cycle and not had a proper period. Done loads of tests but all BFN. Now allegedly day 7 of cycle based on day 1 of spotting being day 1 of period which really didn’t materialise and have got a flashing smiley.

Means we will have to DTD this morning if our DC ever goes down for a nap as I’m out tonight. In some ways is better as hopefully will hit peak this week before my parents arrive for Xmas as otherwise we were going to have to try to DTD whilst they were here (which is how DC was conceived but not as easy now have DC!)

Or I guess this may be an anovulatory cycle?!

NicLondon1 · 14/12/2019 16:09

@CritterTamer Wow, not sure I could handle injecting into a twin-pregnant belly!

MaryShelley1818 · 14/12/2019 21:30

Thank you so much everyone for the nice messages, unfortunately AF has started this evening. Heartbroken and devastated. Again.

Chatbash72 · 15/12/2019 07:41

I'm briefly popping on, things still rough this end, no funeral till after Christmas which can't be helped but leaves us all in limbo a bit to say the least. But I though I would share a funny tale. Whilst at mother in laws my eldest brother in law, i have loads 🤦‍♀️ saw a persimmon fruit in fruit basket and whilst googling it noted that it was good for pregnant women to eat.. he told me in no uncertain terms but kindly that I need to get eating it... well a very unlikely champion for another pregnancy for me.. 🤣🤣🤣 but glad he's on my wavelength
Sending lots of love hugs and baby dust to you all.. I will sit down and have a proper catch up with all your news in next few days 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Hi, I'm 41 and have been TTC #2 for just over a year. We have a DD who is nearly 7. I had a MC last month and was convinced that my fertility would be heightened and would conceive again this month...not so! We are starting infertility treatment early next year. Hope it's ok to join, wishing you all baby dust!

Catclock · 15/12/2019 20:26

Hi @Mystie the one I've been using for aaaages is the one on the left. New ones on the right. I'll Google that Luisa you've mentioned. Is she a good source of info? X

Starlight39 · 16/12/2019 11:28

@Catclock hope you're feeling a bit better? The ubiquinol looks good. I just take ones from Amazon. I also got some omega 3 this month, thought I'd take them after ov instead of EPO.

Hi and welcome @ecostats and sorry to hear about your MC. I got pregnant straight after my first MC and part of me though the same think would happen after my second so I get how disappointing it is. Good luck with the treatment.

@burntpinky that's positive you've had an early smiley face! Hope you can get some DTD in before your parents arrive (or that it's a good omen if you have to do it quietly while they're in the house Grin).

@MaryShelley1818 so sorry AF came but I'm glad you got to go to Disneyland after all! Sounds like a really fun trip and glad your DS enjoyed it.

@NicLondon1 hope the aspirin, heparin and progesterone all helps, even though it must be a huge hassle. Everything crossed for you!

I"m 5 dpo I think although temps have been a bit haywire, probably because I've been waking up a lot and not taking my temp at a very standard time. DP woke up the other night at 4am and asked me if I needed to take my temp so he's got the temping anxiety as much as me! I think next month I'll just DTD every day between CD15 and 20 and not bother testing as it has been stressful! We went out with my brother and sister in law on Friday night and I had a sneaky couple of glasses of wine and had a caffinated cioccolatino coffee from our coffee machine which was lovely - I'm back to no drinking or caffeine now till AF (or hopefully BFP!).

Mystie · 17/12/2019 07:28

@Catclock yes it's quite an interesting read! You know when you've read so many fertility articles it's hard to remember all of them! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Mystie · 18/12/2019 12:17

Not getting too excited as it's a vvvf line but think this might be something to watch ....

What do you think? I'm 12dpo, also had a high opk reading this morning which is a good sign 🤞🏼

I can see it @Mystie Grin. Massive congratulations - really pleased for you and hoping it gets darker and darker.

KediKat · 19/12/2019 10:03

Congratulations @Mystie as my GP said to me a line even if feint is still positive 🌹this group gives me hope the more positives we get , it makes me feel it could be me too 🌈

ecostats · 19/12/2019 12:20

Congratulations @Mystie, a line is a line! Lovely news

Mystie · 19/12/2019 14:07

Think I've had a chemical, temp drop this morning and stark white frer today. Horrible start to Christmas 😢

Starlight39 · 19/12/2019 15:24

So sorry @Mystie. That’s really sad. Hope you’re ok, sending a big unmumsnetty hug Flowers

Rubyroost · 19/12/2019 18:18

Sorry to hear that @Mystie it's really gutting and the problem with early testing. I had a chemical at 4.5 weeks, I conceived before my period and took the first day of chemical as the first day of LMP. I'm 27 weeks now and fingers crossed for healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.

I was gutted but also pleased my body did the right thing as 8 months prior to this my body had carried a very unhealthy baby which I unfortunately had to terminate at 13.5 weeks. You're much more likely to have a healthy pregnancy straight after a chemical according to some research I read. Sending my thoughts x

Mystie · 19/12/2019 18:56

Thank you @Rubyroost - that gives me hope and @Starlight39 xx

KediKat · 19/12/2019 23:07

That’s so sad I’m so sorry to hear this @Mystie 😢

@Rubyroost you give me hope, I’m hoping the same happens for me! I miscarried last month at 5 weeks, 32days since and still no AF. My bbt has been rising nicely, I have been testing negative the last 3 days, will test again tomorrow 🤞🏻

PetraRabbit · 19/12/2019 23:40

Just a quick update from me. At 44 and a half I delivered a perfect healthy baby just in time for Christmas! A much wanted sibling for my 2 year old DC, and we are thrilled. It can happen! Wishing you all good luck in 2020.

KediKat · 20/12/2019 00:14

Congratulations @PetraRabbit that is wonderful news 🎅🏼

KristieP2018 · 20/12/2019 07:07

Congratulations @PetraRabbit!!

Mystie · 20/12/2019 07:38

Thank you and congratulations @Rubyroost you are right early testing is so dangerous, made a pact with oh that going forward we won't test until 5 days late, hmmm not sure I'll be able to get that far but I'm going to try. No sign of af yet but I'm thinking I might be late if hcg has been produced is this right?

Thanks @KediKat 😘

Congratulations @PetraRabbit wonderful news x
