Hi

Right that's it. I've been brave enough to start a new thread to look forward to a summer baby next year. I really don't think I am going to be successful for the spring. But at least if we fall now, hopefully we can have summer 2008 off to enjoy the sunshine.
Does anyone care to join me?

I'm still bleeding . this is really beginning to freak me out. I did mention it to my gp when I went to get something for my back last Friday, and he sort of looked blank and said see how it goes.

tigerschick · 30/09/2007 20:26

Hi ladies

Roskva - Sorry about your back, and about your extra long period. I know what it is like, ask my dh! My last 'natural' period lasted nearly 3 weeks, and that wasn't at all unusual. Now that I am taking progesterone to induce periods they are lasting 6 days from first spotting to all done and it is wonderful!! Not wanting to rub it in as I do know what super-long periods feel like. Hope it is all gone now tho

Hope everyone else is OK ... been a bit quite round here lately tho ...@...
(Was that the agreed sign for tumbleweed?)

Hiya
it has been quiet on here for awhile - not had much to say though. Just working and cleaning - never seems to do anything different at the moment. The whole ttc thing is just 'the norm', trying to forget we are trying as I just can't bear the thought of not getting pg before the year is finished. So suppose I am trying to avoid being on the sites everyday - and to be honest whilst it is nice to see others getting BFP's on the monthly sights I am finding it hard feeling happy about it , which makes me feel mean and nasty. Got to work through that one though as it is just not good for me. Think I am just too tired and stressed out at work at the moment to work out what is going on in my head. Anyway hope you are all ok and will try and check in later in week - off to bed ow as got early start 2moro x

Livvigirl · 01/10/2007 22:02

Hi, have recently had marina coil, removed, had period then nothing for 12 week, back on again, just wondered if anyone else had any problems after this type of contraception, I am new to this so don't really know waht all the abreviations are for, is there a list somewhere??

Roskva · 01/10/2007 22:20

Hi Livvi, there is a bit of a glossary towards the beginning of this thread, because I didn't know, either.

I'm still bleeding, and getting a bit concerned about it.

tigerschick · 02/10/2007 10:03

Hi ladies

Roskva - I'd go and see a gp if I were you. Just to check things out. They will probably tell you that it's nothing to worry about and it will stop eventually but it might just settle your mind a bit.

Livvigirl - Hi. Not had a Mirena myself but I know that several people have and have gone on to get pg relatively easily. If you look in the archives I'm sure you'll find some threads that may help (go to 'search for messages' at the top of the screen) With regard to abbreviations - the main ones on here are TTC - trying to conceive; BFN/BFP - Big Fat Negative/Positive; AF - Auntie Flo (period - which I hate and just say 'period') and BD - Baby Dancing (which I also hate and just say 'sex') There is also an acronym list at the top of the screen which might help with any others.

Moodymoo - Hi, hope you are OK, you sound a bit down ATM. I know what you mean about other people being pg. It's so hard to keep up your positive attitude when it seems like it is happening for everyone else. But we will get our turns soon - keep telling yourself that. I firmly believe that it will happen when it is meant to

I've seen a gp 10 days ago who said "these things happen" and to wait a month to see if it sorts itself out. Got another appointment with a different gp on Fri.

That is a pain, Annie, I know the feeling. My dh is away a lot, too. Assuming my AF ever stops, I have no idea how to calculate my next fertile time. Ho hum, I think there is lots of BDing to be done

Upsidedowncake · 05/10/2007 20:07

Hi everyone

Hi Moodymoo and Tigerschick. Well, we've started TTC again after August's ep.

Cam I come and hang out with you on here?

xx

tigerschick · 06/10/2007 08:25

Hello Upsidedowncake
Really glad to hear that you are ready to try again. Fingers very tightly crossed for you - and everyone.

Roskva - any news? Please tell me you have stopped bleeding at last!

Hope everyone is well and happy

Upsidedowncake · 07/10/2007 18:48

Thanks Tigerschick. Fingers crossed. How's the clomid treating you?

Ronshar, how are you doing? Are you still bleeding?

I have just weighed myself. I put on half a stone with all the misery eating of August. Isn't that disgusting?!

Anniemac - Logistical nightmare. Between managing to BD when you should - then the odds of the sperm meeting the egg and implanting in the right place ... I sometimes wonder why we put ourselves through this.

Roskva · 07/10/2007 23:31

yes, the bleeding has stopped at last, Tigerschick, hallelujah (on Friday, when I had a gp appointment in the afternoon). Anyway, had some fun with dh, but he has now disappeared for a week on business, and my parents will be staying when he gets back (I always feel strangely inhibited when they're here ).

I'm thinking of trying an ovulation predictor thingy; any recommendations, anyone?

Ready · 08/10/2007 16:06

Roskva, long time no see. You actively ttc now? Good luck. Hope you are ok?

tigerschick · 08/10/2007 20:54

Hi ladies

Roskva - oh, thank goodness for that! I know what you mean about feeling odd when there are other people in the house. Last time my parents were visiting dh and I thought we could be really quiet but, while trying not to make the bed squeak, I slipped off the bed and collapsed into fits of giggles - sort of killed the mood

Upsidedowncake - the clomid is going ok in as much as it isn't making me the 'screaming-bitch-from-hell' that I was warned it might. Unfortunately, it isn't making any difference to my pcos. I've been given a higher dose for next month, so we'll have to wait and see.

Hope everyone is well and happy

moodymoo · 08/10/2007 22:18

hiya, thought I would see how you are all getting on. been taking a break from coming on here so much.
Upsidedowncake - glad you are trying again - hopefully you wont have to wait too long for a BFP. prefer this thread to the monthly ones.
Tigerschick - don't know how you do it but you always sound so cheerful on here - despite everything that is going on. I am just going through a down patch at the moment - just can't see a light at the end of the tunnel with it all and no matter how hard I try I can't fully relax.Am ok until I get to ov day and then I get uptight about it all and can't kid myself that I aren't. Saying that have definatly been more relaxed this month than last.
Roskva - had a similar problem but not with in-laws coming to stay - we had a week in a caravan last month and I was so paranoid that the caravan would shake or people would hear us and know what we were doing that my baby making break became anything but - really cheesed dh off as he was looking forward to almost outdoors sex.
dh doesn't ever have to go away from home so am lucky that he is here at those all important moments but have just realised that in November there is a big chance he is going away for the weekend at the worst possible time, damn!
anyway going to go try and make me a baby so night night xx

Roskva · 09/10/2007 20:43

Hiya Ready, good to see you again. Yep, it's official, we've decided it's time to make a little brother or sister for dd.

lol at the camping thing, Moodymoo: it reminds me of a note that appeared in the loos on a campsite I stayed on once, which read "Please remember that if you share your heart under canvas ..... you are sharing it with the whole campsite!" Someone obviously had noisy neighbours

I've no idea what CD I am thanks to the marathon period, but I think I ovulated this morning. Dh is in France, so it's not looking good for this month. Here's to next month, Anniiemac.

Hi Anniemac
Not much to report here either. Went for my scan last Monday and it doesn't look like the Clomid has worked this month either. I've been given a higher dose to try next month so I'm waiting until 29th to see if my period shows up - if not I've got another course of progesterone and we start all over again.

Hope all is well with you - if a little busy!
