Hi

Right that's it. I've been brave enough to start a new thread to look forward to a summer baby next year. I really don't think I am going to be successful for the spring. But at least if we fall now, hopefully we can have summer 2008 off to enjoy the sunshine.
Does anyone care to join me?

oh ive been pg several times in those 2y but... never mind, this is a happy thread!

moodymoo · 31/08/2007 21:47

Lissie -sorry - I had a vague recollection of what you have been going through from previous threads but I have a terrible memory and didn't want to assume I was remembering correctly. wish there was a way og making this ttc malarky easier - nobody tells you how difficult it is before you start trying - definatly one of the worlds best kept secrets.

lissielou · 01/09/2007 07:53

as ive said many times before, you spend years trying desperately NOT to get pg. you use condoms, take the pill, use the coil. i remember being too scared to let a boy touch me up just in case some of his "stuff" somehow got there and i would get pg with ds we were trying for about 4y and this time 2, i suppose its just not easy for us.

moodymoo · 01/09/2007 19:29

reckon if I was a teenager having unprotected sex I would get pg at the drop of a hat!Now that I am a responsible adult trying to get pg NOTHING happens . Like so many things in life - I just don't get it!!!(wish there was a frustrated smiley)
Well at least we can have fun trying.

hey ladies i wonder if my palm reading will come true conception of twins by dec??

moodymoo · 01/09/2007 20:10

TMM - it just might - am a big beleiver in that type of stuff. Can I wait unti december to start crossing my fingers because I might get cramp in them if I start now
Shreksmissus - perhaps the answer is to put our school uniforms back on....

TheMuppetMuggle · 01/09/2007 20:15

@ MM about crossed fingers.

Also great idea about school uniform i still have my tight shirt & school tie, and very nice St trinian style skirt

Might have to choose myself a new school uniform cos mine was horrible - purple and gold - yuck yuck yuck.

TheMuppetMuggle · 01/09/2007 20:38

My school uniform was Green,Red & Gold so not to bad! Besides DP went to the same school so knows what i looked like in my uniform!

moodymoo · 01/09/2007 20:47

If my dh went to same school as me he would have been in BIG trouble for looking at me - 10 years older than me a fact that I like to remind him of everynow and again .

TheMuppetMuggle · 01/09/2007 20:49

I'm 2 yrs old than my DP so can't comment MM
TBH i didn't even know my DP when i was at school to busy with goings on in my year and scaring Yr 7's in the canteen at lunch time when in yr 11 hehe

moodymoo · 01/09/2007 21:16

oh the good old days! I wasn't interested in the boys in my school - all just soooo imature - seems I prefer my men to be a little more mature
Freaky moment - dh just said he thinks we should try some dressing up - can he see what I am typing from other side of room??? Not sure he realises that I dress up everyday for work am a court clerk so get to dress up in stupid gown and stuff like a big penguin .

TheMuppetMuggle · 01/09/2007 21:19

MM - I'm pretty sure thats not the dress up your DP was talking about??

And i wasn't thinking about boys at school, now soon as i left school that was a different story!!!

moodymoo · 01/09/2007 21:32

Trying not to think what dh was thinking about - mentioned something about being his secretary .
For some reason I always preffered the lads I knew my parents wouldn't like. Not really sure how I ended up with dh as he is so different to my usual type. Love him though so that's all that counts I suppose.
Found that I was mates with the lads when at school - more so than the girls, found out afterwards that the girls were jealous cos i could get on with the lads so well, might have helped that I have 3 brothers. Can remember as a kid begging my mum and dad to send me to an all gorl school - good job they didn't cos obviously I would have been friendless

TheMuppetMuggle · 01/09/2007 21:35

MM - I have that now, i get on so well with the Lads but DP is good that he doesn't get jealous. the only thing different between me & DP is that i have a lot of friends and DP has hardly any. so i can understand if he gets annoyed if i'm always texting or on the phone as always someone who wants to see or spk to me!

moodymoo · 01/09/2007 21:48

Dp doesn't seem to like most of my mates - tolerates them but doesn't encourage me to ask them over etc. Think he notices the age gap when they are around. He has a good set of mates who I get on really well with. They are a really good bunch of blokes and loves it that we all get on. Have only seen him jealous once when I was good friends with a lad I worked with right at start of our relationship.
The funniest friendship is the one with his ex-wife - cos when we get together we sit and rip the piss out of dh - got to be one of my favourite pastimes , add his sister to the mox and he stands no chance .
Think the boot is on the other foot at the mo though - dh started in a new deft last moth and he works with a load of young lasses who try and get him to go out after work for drinks and stuff and talk about sex all day - not too happy with it but trust him enough to know he wont do anything. He loves winding me up about it though.

TheMuppetMuggle · 01/09/2007 21:52

MM - DP works with mainly women and he doesn't spk to any of them they are all older than him and don't even try to interact with him poor fellow!
And my DP likes most of my friends and knows what me and the lads are like esp when out together so have we have no probs there!
I trust him and he trusts me so its all good

moodymoo · 01/09/2007 21:58

DH thinks he has died and gone to heaven working in his new deaprtment - says he's not givning up his desk for anyone! HE did work in an office full of old farts before and he hated it - didn't even say morning to him. Kind of like it that he doesn't have much to do with my mates cos it means I get to go out without him - helps us have seperate social lives as well as a married life.
Getting done now cos I have been on here so long so am going to sign of for the night. x

MM - thats the problem my DP has at work, they don't say morning to him, the only time his team talk to him is when they want an arguement, so isn't all that happy about it. But tomorrow he's moving to a team full of blokes that he gets on well with so fingers crossed he'll be a little bit more happier now.

Roskva · 03/09/2007 09:24

Lol out the school days reminiscing. I must have been such a prissy little cow - boys were something my brother brought home, yuck . Having said that, I seem to have spent a lot of time with to the extent I was invited to a stag do as an honorary stag . I was 30 when I met dh. I wonder if I'd have fallen for him if I'd met him at school....

welshprincess · 03/09/2007 17:55

libralady · 03/09/2007 20:15

Hi welshprincess

I was trying for 3 yrs for DS and after being told I wouldn't be able to conceive without a little assistance, we resigned to the fact that our life would probably be childless. Went on holiday to a 5* resort that had a health spa suite including reflexology and my husband treated me. Came back from hols and 3 weeks later discovered I was pregnant. Having spoken to other people, apparently reflexology can help those who are having trouble conceiving so I am seriously thinking of having it again. It is sooo lovely and relaxing. I am willing to give anything a go to get that BFP.
Good luck
LL xx
