Just wanted to see whether there is anyone else out there in the same situation. Had ds in july 2006. He was conceived straight after coming off the pill. We weren't even trying that hard and didn't expect it to happen so soon. However, would really like to have second and have been trying for 6 months. Thought I would catch early again but no luck so far. Want to have the littlies close together.

Morning. LO down for a nap before nursery so thought I'd treat myself to a quick 'chat'. I feel like a bit of a fraud as just re-read title of thread and realise that I'm not TTC No2 . Hopefully you nice ladies will let me keep chatting away. Please!

LadyH - Agnus Castus is a herb that helps you ovulate. Just google it and you can read up on its benefits. Although, given what Attila's said, don't want to recommend it. it['s certainly helped me ov for the last two months when I wasn't before. But then, haven't got pg for the last 2 months when using it so......

Attila - Thanks for advice. I actually had a blood test at GP's in July re: hormone levels. Everything came back OK, plus thyroid and uric acid tests OK too.So fingers crossed I don't have PCOS. Never had any probs with it the past. Will not take Agnus Castus next month and see what happens.

Has anyone else tried Pre Seed? Used it this month, but not sure if it's helped. It's a sperm friendly vaginal lubricant that mimics the cervix's secretions so helps the boys race up there and get to the egg pronto! Had noticed that my CM was getting less and less and had heard good things about Pre-Seed.

I think you're all way more advanced than me. Have no idea when my luteal phase is! Just pee on OPK sticks and that tells me when I'm ov.

If nothing has happened by Christmas then will go to GP and referred to a specialist. Hopefully we won't have to go down IVF route. Have two smashing girls, so it's not the end of the world if it doesn't happen (she says trying to convince herself!).

OK, enough jabbering from me.

Hi Attila, I have been given Agnus Castus by a qualified naturopath, but it was because I suffer from severe migraine during af.She said to take it 10 days prior af and three days after as she suspected a drop in my progesterone levels. But I will do the blood tests as well, to check all the hormones. Thanks!

I'm 27 but have a history of Mc and various gynae problems so i would have thought they would have refered me sooner.

I'm doing the clearblue trial at the moment and have another 6 or 8 weeks to go on that then when i get the print out of that at the end i will go and see a female dr and demand to be refered, the nice guidelines say i should have been already anyway.

hey, everyone. Thought I'd join in - got a similar story as a few of you; ds conceived just after I came off the pill, didn't even get a proper period before the magic BFP.

Now I'm on cycle 4 ttc no.2 ... ds is nearly 8 months, we were hoping for as small a gap as possible between them. Had a m/c last month.

Feeling pretty positive - reading this it is in some ways good to know lots of people take longer to get their 2nd on board and it is not nec a sign that something is wrong.

Will be watchinf everyone's progess with much interest and crossed fingers.

Worzel - go and beat your GP about the head with a stick. 2 years seems ridiculous. If that is not an NHS standard, they should give you a GOOD reason for that policy. Good luck getting the help you deserve..

ellabean · 09/10/2007 09:50

Hi, can I join you? I have a DD, 2yr, and been ttc for quite a while since DD was 8months old.

Me and DH tried for 4 years to get our DD was put on IVF list but concived naturaly after having Hysterosalpingogram .

Not sure what to do now!!!! Just dont want to get stressed out about it

There are so many TTC no 2 threads, I couldn't remember which one I had posted on so I had to dig this one up.

Anyone out there? Anyone expecting yet?

I AM!!!!
GOt my BFP on Sunday, making me 5wks. We'd decided to take a month or two off TTC and booked a holiday. So really were actively trying not to. Ok so didn't use contraception but BD'd well before and well after OV dates, and well, bingo.

Off on holiday on Sunday. Will be a bit different having to cut back on the evening glasses of wine, but fingers crossed, this one will be a stayer and mid september no 2 will be with us.

Good luck to anyone else TTC
