Anyone else in the TWW and want to keep each other sane?

Congrats on all the BFPs!! Amazing news!!

I'm CD7 and going to follow the SMEP plan as it's not too dissimilar to how I was TTC last cycle. Last cycle was the first one off the pill and I was GUTTED when I came on my period last Monday but ahh well, we go again!! Currently on a 25day cycle and planning lots of activities to keep my mind off the whole TTC topic as I got quite obsessive about it all and hence why I think I was so annoyed when AF arrived! I've really enjoyed all your tips for the TWW, so positive to read them and I'm going to stay on this thread :)

I'm hoping we all get BFPs in October!

Have a lovely Sunday everyone x

Blossomingflower94 · 08/09/2019 16:50

@alisxo were so similar! I'm on CD7 too and last month was a 25 day cycle. All my apps say my fertile window starts tomorrow but nothing on clear blue yet.

Hoping it is as I've got 5 days off so lots of chance to do some BDing.

Sending you loads of baby dust 😘

Were in this together this cycle @Blossomingflower94 sending you all the baby dust darling!! I'll start doing the OPK tests but I'm ovulating on Saturday according to Flo, it was accurate last month xxx

Chaosonthehorizon · 09/09/2019 07:35

CD6 today and using up my CB OPK’s, 24 day cycle last month!

Raizelrea · 09/09/2019 07:57

@AliSxo @Blossomingflower94 What kinds of activities are you ladies planning for the upcoming month? I just got back from a holiday that included attending two weddings, so in a bit of an energy slump now and could use the inspiration! So far the only plans we have for this month is some home diy 😄

I'm on CD5 and looks like that will be the last day of AF which is short for me (normally have 6-7 day periods). Will hopefully get CB OPK today though don't think I'll use them till CD8 or so. Other than that no exact plan, I think we'll just losely go for every other day, more if we fancy, less if we don't - which is essentially what we did last month. Don't really want to force it!

Blossomingflower94 · 09/09/2019 19:44

Feeling a lot more chilled this month. Nothing on the CB OPKs yet but I'm only CD8 today.

As for activities I have a crazy busy month! I have a wedding on Friday which I also happen to be making the cake for also, so that's this week's distraction.

I need to paint our kitchen 😂

Then we go on holiday to Ireland at the end of the month. It's just in time to stop me testing too as we will be away 😁

What have you all got planned?

OP posts:
Blossomingflower94 · 10/09/2019 08:02

Just woke up and did my clear blue OPK and got my first flashing smile! Anyone would think that it was a BFP the way I got excited 😂

DTD last night, DP is away today but back in the morning. Then 3 or 4 days of daily DTD. I'm determined this month.

I've been having grapefruit juice and omega 369 too each morning to help with CM and increasing my estrogen.

Everything crossed.

How about you ladies that are on a similar cycle to me?

OP posts:
Raizelrea · 10/09/2019 08:26

@Blossomingflower94 Wow, making a wedding cake? I'm impressed! Weddings are a great distraction and loads of fun to attend though I admit I'm all weddinged-out after this summer and last week in particular 😄

Do you make your grapefruit juice from scratch or buy it premade? I had it a fair bit in hotels last week and I really like the taste so may start having it more regardless of whether it's good for TTC ☺️

That is exciting about the OPK! I do hear some people can get the flashing smiley for quite a long time so don't get too discouraged if that's the case. I also picked up the CB OPK yesterday, will probably start on CD8 (currently on CD6).

Blossomingflower94 · 10/09/2019 12:24

@Raizelrea Yes I love making cakes! I do it on the side to make a bit of extra cash. Super excited for this one as its huuuuuge! You did have loads of weddings in one hit i'm not surprised you're all wedding'd out!

I just buy it - apparently the red one is better for TTC than the light juice. Its something to do with neutralising the acid in you CM that kills off a lot of sperm.

Yeah I heard some people can have it up to 9 days. I'm just encouraged that my body is producing enough oestrogen to register on the OPK. Just need to get on with DTD every day now. I have a wedding on the 27th and I really want to be able to tell my best friend that i'm pregnant :D

CD6 is good. I started on CD8 too, with 25 day cycles its what CB recommend too. I wasn't fully expecting a flashing smiley today but it's certainly picked up my mood!

How is your week going?

OP posts:
Raizelrea · 10/09/2019 17:37

@Blossomingflower94 Amazing! What kind of cake will it be? I'm not much of a baker though now that autumn is here I quite fancy making pumpkin pie over the weekend.

Oh that's interesting, will hive the grapefruit juice a try too! I did evening primrose oil supplements for the first half of the last cycle as they're meant to increase CM but missed the first few days of my cycle while travelling this time and you're meant to start them on CD1 so will be giving those a miss this month.

I reckon with a 25 day cycle you'll probably get a static fairly early on in the cycle so hopefully it shouldn't be 10 days of flashing smileys for you ☺️ I'm kind of excited to start the CB OPKs too - which is sad haha

Week's been ok so far thank you, today was quite stressful at work though on the bright side it made the day go by quickly rather than me googling random TTC nonsense like I did last month when work wasn't busy 😄 How's yours going so far?

Chaosonthehorizon · 10/09/2019 19:21

Ok will try grapefruit juice too! Maybe too late as CD7 and sounds like I have missed the evening primrose window

Blossomingflower94 · 10/09/2019 20:59

It's a 3 tier double height cake with floral decor. Bottom tier vanilla, middle Chocolate and the top gluten free vanilla all covered in chocolate ganache! Super excited to finish it tomorrow.

AliSxo · 10/09/2019 23:03

@Blossomingflower94 I'm on CD9 and also have a 25 day cycle so we're in the same boat!! I'll do an Opk test tomorrow and see how I get on xx apparently my main day for ovulation will be Saturday and me and DP are off to London for the weekend staying overnight so that'll be fun xxx

Raizelrea · 11/09/2019 07:07

@Blossomingflower94 Sounds incredible! No doubt it will be a hit among the wedding guests!

Blossomingflower94 · 11/09/2019 16:46

@AliSxo I hope you have a lovely time in London, including lots of BDing haha.

@Raizelrea I hope so, its been a blooming nightmare to make so far!

OP posts:
Blossomingflower94 · 12/09/2019 21:02

Currently CD 11. I have two more days off and will BD both days but after that I'll have 2 days where me and DP won't see eachother. I really hope that our daily BDing since CD 8 is enough.
Missed the boat last month because of work too.

OP posts:
Raizelrea · 12/09/2019 21:31

@Blossomingflower94 Are you still on flashing smileys on the CB OPK? I wouldn't be too bummed about the timing, if you have a 25 day cycle I would imagine it can't be too long till ovulation for you, and even if you do ovulate on the day when you're apart DTD a day before ovulation is meant to give you more chances than on the day of. Plus sperm's meant to live for up to 5 days so if it's only 2 days you're missing it should be just fine. You've got it covered! Smile

I started the CB OPK today, just the blank smiley which I was expecting since it's the first one and only CD8. I did manage to accidentally tip the cup of wee all over the bathroom floor Blush 😆 Typical!

AliSxo · 12/09/2019 22:04

@Raizelrea @Blossomingflower94 hey I had did an OPK internet cheapie and it's a very very faint line, Flo predicts day of ovulation as Saturday but I agree with @Raizelrea its the BD'ing before that gives a good chance xx

Raizelrea · 13/09/2019 07:27

@AliSxo Is this your first cycle doing OPK? I wonder how long till the faint line becomes dark, will be interesting to see how Flo lines up with it!

Blossomingflower94 · 13/09/2019 14:54

So then ladies, cake successfully delivered so now I have 0 stress! So happy!

Yes day 4 of flashing smiley today, I started testing on day 6 or 7 I believe, a few days of blank O then into flashes. CD12 for me and i had my peak on day 13 last month. Going to DTD tonight and tomorrow night and then that'll be us until Tuesday morning.

Cycles are between 25 and 27 days so hopefully we won't miss out this month.

How are you all doing? Good luck with the OPK's!

OP posts:
Blossomingflower94 · 13/09/2019 14:57

@Raizelrea I'm waiting for the day I drop pee everywhere hahah ... at least its technically sterile!

OP posts:
Raizelrea · 13/09/2019 16:50

@Blossomingflower94 Yay! Well done, enjoy the wedding festivities! I'm sure the two days without DTD won't have too much of an impact, let us know when you get that static smiley! So far just the blanks for me though I'd be surprised if I had a flashing one before CD 10!

Blossomingflower94 · 13/09/2019 18:21

I will of course let you know. I really hope it's in the morning!

Unfortunately I wasn't staying for the wedding celebrations, just making the cake! I do have a wedding at the end of the month though which is nice.

Let me know how you get on with the CB. It's so much nicer just doing the one test in the morning.

OP posts:
Raizelrea · 13/09/2019 21:06

@Blossomingflower94 Ah I see! The CB OPKs seem ok so far, not very exciting till I get any smileys I suppose. Definitely glad that you do them first thing in the morning though, I'm sure I'd forget in the afternoons (and not a fan of the idea of not going to the bathroom for ages!)

Blossomingflower94 · 14/09/2019 05:32

Another morning of a flashing smiley today. That makes it day 5. I normally get my peak on cd13 (today) so a bit bummed about that. Taking some cheapies to work with me and will see about doing them this afternoon.

Hopefully tomorrow is the day for that static smile.
