looneytune · 25/08/2007 11:00

aquababe - CONGRATULATIONS

lulu1414 · 25/08/2007 11:15

Congratulations! Gives the rest of us hope.

Digital and Bucky: I go running 3-4 times a week and now I have been obsessing that I shouldn't. Have you heard whether running is good/ bad at certain points of your cycle. I know I am clutching at straws seeing how last time I got pg (ended in MMC) I was at the gym 3 times a week. But just wondering what your thoughts are about running. and yes I am obsessing!

Just checked out the ovulation date checker and if I did get pregnant this month according to this I would give birth on my nans 80th Birthday (end of May). That would be great so just have to keep my fingers crossed.

Congratulations Aquababe- that is great news

aquababe - thats great news congratulations

cbcb - what tests are you using I know I say it all the time but clearblue digital all the way no peering at faint lines

had a little bleeding yesterday but was told there was still a small clot up there just want it all out so my body can get back to normal

digitalgirl · 25/08/2007 21:53

HUGE CONGRATS aquababe !!!! what's the secret to a bfp then? did you use opk or just lots of bd'ing?

lulu I've read that if it's something you normally do then running is absolutely fine throughout ttc and pregnancy. as long as you keep fit without overdoing it i.e. don't overheat or get too out of breath. keep going with it! apparently the fitter you are, the more stamina you'll have for labour and also the easier it will be to return to your normal weight post-pg.

Bucky2007 · 26/08/2007 08:51

Yes congrats Lulu...say hi to them on the 'other side' as in crossing over to the the pregnant ladies side .

Lulu, as digitalgirl says, if you run regularly and have for sometime its supposed to be absolutely fine. Your body will most likely tell you if its not anyway. My stress is to to do with the fact that I only really started running in May, very stupidly around the time I started ttc. That, is NOT a good idea! I was quite fit anyway and as I am quite a few months down the line my recovery time is quicker now, but I still stress because I wasn't really a runner.

However, if either of you have nikeplus trainers and I would be interested having a virtual running buddy as I am friendless in sunny hertfordshire. I moved here from London 2 years ago. I run as previoulsy mentioned for 2 weeks a month and then freak out and stop...hee hee.

Bellie · 26/08/2007 10:14

Hi - started using my clearblue fertility monitor this month - cd 6 and took my first test this morning. Still at low fertility but probably to be expected this early in the cycle.

moodymoo - I seem to recall that you are using this too - where are you getting your sticks from - I can only seem to find them online? (are you stiill here - not seen you for a bit??)

TheMuppetMuggle · 26/08/2007 12:13

Congrats Aquababe - hope to see you on other side soon

Although don't think that will happen to soon, as DP doesn't seem to want to BD when we get time alone!!

goingfor3 · 26/08/2007 12:37

Hi ladies I'm on cd1 and was very releived to see af this morning as I m/c nearly five weeks ago and am happy my body is doing the right things so we can start trying again properly.

Good luck to everyone!!!!

sweetkitty · 26/08/2007 13:11

hi goingfor3 thats good news about AF arriving I'm really interested in when your AF comes back after a mc, sorry if this seems a silly question but how do you count it for example 1st Aug I had scan and was told baby was too small and to come back in 8 days which I did, then mc was confirmed starting heavy bleeding the next day and stopped last Thursday only for a little more on Friday, Saturday was the first day of no bleeding but I could be wrong. So is it 5 weeks since mc was confirmed or since you stopped bleeding.

Sorry if that seems a bit insensitive but I really don't know, I would have been 12 weeks today I marked it on the calendar

snooks · 26/08/2007 13:23

Hi sweetkitty, am sorry to hear you had a mc too

I had a mc 5 weeks ago yesterday (at 9 weeks pg), the doc at hospital told me to 'time' it from the day of the event itself, ie passing the actual sac (I started bleeding on the Friday 5 wks ago & passed the sac the next day on the Saturday, then carried on bleeding for another 5 or so days). Not sure what happens tho if someone is not aware of passing the sac.

HTH although it probably hasn't! x

sweetkitty · 26/08/2007 13:32

sorry to hear about your mc too snooks life sucks sometimes

I had 3 days of heavy bleeding (Sat, Sun and Mon) but never saw the sac so don't know when I passed it I'm going to say then that Monday was the actual mc day as it was the heaviest day and it was the last day of heavy bleeding so to speak so that was 2 weeks ago tomorrow.

snooks · 26/08/2007 13:53

sounds like a good plan sweetkitty, I'm sure this dating business is a bit hit and miss tbh because everyone's MC is so different....

I got a BFP last Tuesday and my GP confirms I am 5 weeks pregnant - great news , but slightly bizarre because 5 weeks ago I was actively miscarrying.....I suppose the only way they can date a pregnancy so soon after a MC is like they do after a period ie first day of AF is first day of pregnancy. Seems weird tho, I guess will know the real date at a scan (am sure I OVd 2-3 weeks ago).

Sorry to ramble........good luck to you & everyone here x

sweetkitty · 26/08/2007 14:04

That's fantastic news snooks your the first person I've "spoken" too who has had a mc then got pregnant straight away without an AF. I was told to wait to ttc until AF arrives but that it's only so they can date it but when they do date it normally they usually change it from the scan anyway as the day of last period isn't that exact.

I usually have a good idea when I'm oving and I know I shouldn't but I know I'll be looking for all the signs, oh well just need to have loads of sex and if it happens it happens.

Wishing you a very happy and healthy pregnancy you deserve it.
