Arrh...best of luck to all you testers tomorrow....hope to see some BFP....baby dusk to you all.

bramblina · 01/09/2007 02:18

Well, sore boobs on Monday and no pmt made me think I was in with a chance...dh ended up having to go away thismorning so told him what I thought and did a test...BFN. Hmm wierd. Not like me. Still not AF but tingly boobs now and a gain which was my first sign the last times I've been pg....will live in hope! It was a Tesco £2.99 do you think I should splash out the £10 or just wait another week?!

Hoping ofr some more good news form the rest of us...

ps love the bold list!

Bellie · 01/09/2007 06:39

morning - I know I should be asleep, but dd woke me at 4.15 am and I have tried honest to go back to sleep but couldn't.
Fertility monitor says 'high' today - so looks like dh is going to start the holiday with a bang 0so to speak )!!
Moodymoo - I just read the booklet again and it says for the first cycle using the monitor you could get up to 5 high days before your peak, so hopefully dh will have come round by then!

Bramblina - how long is your cycle usually - are you testing early?

Wiatrose had 20% off (i think it was 20) of Clear Blue Digitals - offer ends in the next week.

Good luck to all xx

lissielou · 01/09/2007 08:05

i find the asda/tesco ones nearly as good as the clearblue tbh test again in a few days, good luck!

digitalgirl · 01/09/2007 08:07

No AF and still BFN. Not holding out much more hope. I've double checked and my last cycle was actually 37 days so I think it's just another long one. I've had cramps on and off for over two weeks now. If it continues till Tuesday, when AF could be due, that's 3 weeks of pre-AF cramps (sooooooo unfair).

Does anyone know how long can a luteal phase be? Was convinced I ov'ed around 3 weeks ago.

goingfor3 · 01/09/2007 08:09

digitalgirl - the general lp is 14 dyas but pre mc mine was 11 days so it can vary. Good luck.

lissielou · 01/09/2007 08:23

even if you have regular periods your lp can vary quite a lot. my cycle is 29d (since last mc it's been erratic tho) and some months i ov v early (once ov'd on CD9 and got bfp on CD16) and some months v late. on the months i ov late i have a 5-7d lp. it may be worth seeing your gp about your cycles. attillathemeercat is vv knowledgable about these things, maybe you should have a word with her.

digitalgirl · 01/09/2007 08:41

thanks ladies! i think i read somewhere that you can have at least one cycle a year when you don't ov. maybe this was it. wish I'd not started ttc a month earlier than planned now...

anyway, will try and forget about it for the next few days. thanks again!

goingfor3 · 01/09/2007 09:10

Sweetkitty sorry to hear you are having doubts. I keep changing my mind I do want another baby but I have realised that I feel really traumatized by my mc and if I get pregnant I will be an emotional wreck. It took a few months last time and maybe it won't be such a bad thing if it does this time too though I will feel frustrated. I keep contradicting myself because I don't know what I want!
On a positive note DD1 is on the debenhams website so that has given me a good start to September

lissielou · 01/09/2007 09:14

actually pysically ON the website?

goingfor3 · 01/09/2007 09:15

Boots have a 3 for 2 offer on family planning at the moment, it will help with all of those sticks we wee on!!!!

goingfor3 · 01/09/2007 09:16

In a picture on the website, in the art club picture.

lissielou · 01/09/2007 09:20

wow! just had a look, they're all co cute!

AbRoller · 01/09/2007 09:44

Morning all,

Sorry about BFN DigitalG. No Af still a good sign hopefully.

Hoping for you too Bramblina and any others testing.

Most of what I thought might have been symptoms have stopped. Still cramping but that's it.

A week seems like an eternity to wait to find out.

Abs

TwilightSurfer · 01/09/2007 11:23

No AF but only BFN here! Bloody unreal!! Trying to stay positive . Spent the last few hours dreading MN thinking everyone would be BFPs. I don't feel any better finding out all appear to be in same boat. Sorry. Until AF shows there's always hope.

All the talk about luteal phase made me google it. Here's something interesting:

The luteal phase, also referred to as 'days past ovulation' or 'DPO', is the part of the cycle that starts at ovulation and ends the day before your next period. It usually lasts about 14 days and does not vary by more than a day in each person. The luteal phase is named after the corpus luteum (Latin: "yellow body"), a structure that grows on the surface of the ovary where a mature egg was released at ovulation. The corpus luteum produces progesterone in preparing the body for pregnancy. Your luteal phase must be at least 10 days long to support pregnancy.

For more go to www.ovulation-calendar.com/hlp-d04-luteal-phase.html

digitalgirl · 01/09/2007 13:15

Hey twilight, sorry for your BFN too

It's annoying when AF hasn't turned up either. Thanks for the LP info, I looked up how long it could be between ov and AF turning up and it says some women can take up to 18 days but it's very rare. By my guess I'm 19dpo...so I'm either one of those few women who produces very little HCG hormones when PG (hoping), or I've not actually ov'ed this month (not hoping), or I ov'ed much later than I thought, despite lack of EWCM (confusing).

Josey, Bramblina & Starlight have you tested??? Would love to see a BFP for someone this weekend!!!!

Hope everyone else is getting down to some fun, whether BD'ing, ov spotting or 2ww symptom spotting or actually doing something that isn't ttc-related (which I definitely need to do!)

dg x

TheMuppetMuggle · 01/09/2007 15:20

Hey Ladies

Sorry to hear about all your BFN
fingers crossed it happens this month.

And MM - DP apologised last nite for being an arse, was nothing to do with me had really bad day at work (bust up with manager), i told him not to take it out on me like that again, but made up by lots of BDing last nite and this afternoon

penguinmum · 01/09/2007 17:10

TMM - glad you and dh sorted out. blokes!

KD73 · 01/09/2007 17:40

Sorry to all those with BFN .

I just wanted to let you know that I last had AF visit on 29th May. AF was never on time but generally visited every 29 - 33 days. Anyway did pg test on July 12 (44 days) and got BFN .

Had a GP appt on July 26, to complain that AF now 58 days, however decided to do a test (just in case) and got BFP!!!!

The moral... it ain't over til the fat lady sings and here's hoping that we get some BFP in Sept !

Congrats KD

for all those who have a visitor staying at the moment going by the name of AF or TEW.

I have decided not to test again as did one a couple of days ago and got BFN. But as this is 1st cycle off the pill im expecting a 6 weeks till AF anyway Im going to have major will power and just hang on in there, if I get symptoms and nothing by 6.5.7 weeks will try again ( listen too me haha bet I crack long before then)

TheMuppetMuggle · 01/09/2007 18:32

Congrats KD

I'm not due to test for another week & bit yet.

but don't think i need to test as feel AF will show her face!
