Hey, so was a little flakey on August bus because this is so hard, but I like the support and folk with bfps give me hope.

Anyway, I am on cycle is seven now, period due first or second September. But will probably poas end of Aug because I turn into a sucker for punishment the week before.

How are you all doing? Will be happy and sorry to see familiar names back.

I also will disappear for days at a time, which doesn't mean I'm ignoring folk, but finding it too intense.

Love and luck

Would love to hear about this month's lovely distractions

If it's positive, it's in the next 12 -24 hours ☺️☺️ I'd do it for the next 3/4 days to be sure 😌🤞🏻

Blossomingflower94 · 24/08/2019 18:17

@carolinekate looks like CD7 was your peak! Super exciting for you

CarolineKate · 24/08/2019 18:46

@blossomingflower94 @flossy12 it would be sooo cool 😍😍. Going to try and not get my hopes up just in case it was a random surge lol!!

GloriaMaximus · 24/08/2019 20:51

Random question guys..what would an OPK read if you were pregnant?

CarolineKate · 24/08/2019 21:19

@gloriamaximus I've read a bit about this. Apparently the chemical compounds in hcg and lh are quite similar. And so an opk can sometimes show positive for Lh when it is actually picking up on hcg. So if pregnant it is possible to get a positive opk. But its also possible to get a positive opk before AF and not be pregnant due to a random surge. So always best to confirm with a pregnancy test and not get excited before then! Why do you ask? 😜

CarolineKate · 24/08/2019 21:21

Welcome @lizzie198 I've read that ovulation can occur anywhere between 12-36 hours after a positive opk. So I would dtd from positive and then for the next 2 nights after that. How exciting you have got your positive!!

GloriaMaximus · 24/08/2019 22:30

@CarolineKate oh I wish it was for something more exciting I truly do!!

My LH goes up and down daily but I've noticed most others steadily rise and then fall so I was just curious. Also my nipples have turned black and my boobs are sore and massive just like DC1 🤔--

I have irregular cycles due to recently removing my coil and having endo so I just don't know what to think 🙈

GloriaMaximus · 24/08/2019 22:30

@CarolineKate thank you by the way 🙏🏼

CarolineKate · 25/08/2019 06:13

@gloriamaximus hmmm OK how annoying for you that your opks don't have a pattern!! And sorry to hear you have endo I've heard that is really tough and painful 😬. I know someone that didn't realise they were in labour as it just felt like endo!! Xx

november90 · 25/08/2019 07:41

Hi everyone! So I had my surge during the night on Thursday... me and my husband have been dtd for a while now, chasing ovulation! But that's 2 nights since my surge. Is it safe to stop now? I SO want this month to be my month!
Anyone heard of any food tips to help things along?

user1471501621 · 25/08/2019 07:48

@november90 Hi I think I remember hearing something about eating pineapple, but not sure what it's supposed to do!.

november90 · 25/08/2019 08:43

Ooohhh thank you @user1471501621 I have heard this one too! I'll grab some today 😀

So sorry if this is tmi, but my cm had really changed. It was clear and stringent a couple days ago and now there's a lot of creamy cm. is this normal after ovulation, pregnant or not?

CarolineKate · 25/08/2019 08:46

@november90 how exciting for you!! I would go for one more night then you can put your feet up 😁 (so many innuendos)

CarolineKate · 25/08/2019 08:47

@november90 regarding cm yes that's normal! It's less fertile than ewcm but still better than nothing! 😊

MsMiaWallace · 25/08/2019 09:32

This 2ww is a bitch already! I've got 12 days to go!

MrsMeow2019 · 25/08/2019 09:37

@MsMiaWallace 11 days here , I really want to wait until AF is due.... but I'm already contemplating testing Early at the weekend ...... 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Coastaldreamer · 25/08/2019 11:39

@november90 think after the surge if you're doing SMEP it's three days in a row and then a break day then one more and then you're done!

@user1471501621 the bromine in the pineapple core is apparently meant to aid implantation 🤷🏽‍♀️

I think I'm also there on a positive Opk.... please can someone confirm this is almost positive ?

MsMiaWallace · 25/08/2019 11:57

@Coastaldreamer I'd say yes get baby dancing!!

flossy12 · 25/08/2019 17:24

Would we class this as a positive ladies?? ☺️

September bus
Coastaldreamer · 25/08/2019 17:46

@flossy12 is that OPK or pg?? Positive on both accounts!

@MsMiaWallace Ok I thought this morning's OPK was positive but the one done just now is even darker than the control line!

So as I'm doing SMEP, if we dtd this morning already should we again tonight or does three days in a row mean Mon, tues and wed?? Can anyone help with that?

Thanks xx

flossy12 · 25/08/2019 18:04

@Coastaldreamer just OPK 😅 wish it was a bloody PG 😂🙋🏼‍♀️ better get at it again then haven't I!

november90 · 25/08/2019 18:33

@Coastaldreamer oh thank you! Do you know how the smep works? I thought the fertile window ends 12-36 hours after the egg is released so why is it beneficial to dtd 5 days after? I've seen this before but never understood it but find it really interesting :)

Lu1u · 25/08/2019 18:38

@coastaldreamer if you DTD this morning I think you would count today as day 1, Monday day 2 and Tuesday day 3 but doing it again tonight won't hurt surely if you and DP are up for it!? Fingers crossed for you!

Blossomingflower94 · 25/08/2019 19:05

@flossy12 & @Coastaldreamer Get BD'ing! Grin Sending lots of baby dust your way.

I'm 4DPO currently, I know I ovulated on the 21st (at about 19:00 to be precise haha (I can feel it)). Today I have been having similar cramps to those I get when ovulating but just on my right side. I'm really trying not to think too much into it but also hoping its a positive sign of things to come. I only normally cramp on the day before AF.

How is everyone else doing?

GloriaMaximus · 25/08/2019 19:06

@november90 I'm fairly sure a peak LH happens before the egg is released so that could by why 🤷🏻‍♀️
