Ask away, whether it's OPK's, LH, Temping (BBT), Surges, lines, DPO's, ask away, I have worked for the big boys of fertility and some of the smaller ones....

Thank you. Was waiting for AF to arrive and was then going to book an appointment with the GP. think I'll try to book an appointment now as currently I'm on day 76 and the next appointment will probably be in about 4 weeks anyway

Kittykat9 · 30/08/2019 13:06

@EvelineUK thank you 😊 x

EvelineUK · 30/08/2019 13:07

@evelineuk Thank you so much for your advice. I’ll try to relax and just keep DTDing. xxx

Each2TheirOwn · 30/08/2019 14:13

Thank you @EvelineUK I usually test at 8.30am (not FMU), 1.30pm and again between 6pm - 9pm. I had the same pattern last month, positive CD17 &18 and negative from CD19 onwards (although it was a fluke I caught it as only started using them that day).

DH and I DTD CD15 & CD17 so hopefully we've got the timing right 🤞🏼 thanks again x

EvelineUK · 30/08/2019 16:57

@coconuttymummy enjoy :)

@Each2TheirOwn
Sounds like you're doing all the right things, fingers crossed and lashings of baby dust in your direction. :)

Hi EvelineUK,

Myself and DP have been TTC our first since December 2018. I had a MMC in May, baby stopped growing at 8+5 and I had a d&c the following week. AF resumed late June and earlier this month I had a CP. I am 33, DP is 36. My question is, do you think I should see my GP and have any sorts of tests done at this stage? We have health insurance so could go private for more in depth tests if necessary. I'm just wondering how long more to give it before we should go down this route. TIA

Absa · 01/09/2019 10:41

@EvelineUK
Thanks for your reply to my previous message.

Looking back on my previous few cycles, my lutial phase is about 10 days normally. I know this is less than the normal 12-14.
@NavyBerry asked a similar question and I know you said it wasn't your area but just wondering if anyone else has had this before / has the GP suggested a reason / solution? Before I go and waste time!

@EvelineUK
Can you help me please, first month TTC and trying to get my head around ovulation.
Been using strips and think I got a positive on day 11 and experienced pains pretty much all day on and off but no CM which I usually get a lot of.

My cycles are 30 days at the moment.
Previously ovulated on day 14.
What do you think?

@sar1988 I'm no expert but looks like you had a peak on the 5th strip down, especially if it was very faint the next day. You'll get better at spotting the difference the more cycles you go through. I use Glow app and it shows you colours to compare to.

These are my peak lines from this morning.

@Makeafamily19 thanks for your help. Yours look a lot clearer than mine but yeah your right I'll get better at reading them.
Good luck to you xx

EvelineUK · 01/09/2019 20:08

@Hello54321 That's a tough one, the thing to remember about MC/CP is it's your body detecting a life limiting abnormality in the foetus generally and therefore it is often not a sign anything is 'wrong' with you. Again, I'm not a doctor, so it's not my place to offer medical advice, but for what it's worth, I would certainly book an appointment if you have private healthcare, and rule out any sort of iron deficiency or auto-immune issue just for peace of mind.

@NavyBerryI think 10 days is still a decent length, but there are treatments and supplements which can help lengthen the leutial phase, always worth a conversation with your GP.

@sar1988
You had a positive on strip 5. but I would argue that isn't a peak as the control line looks darker than the test line to me... Was it an FMU by any chance?

sar1988 · 01/09/2019 20:44

@EvelineUK Hi no it wasn't it was much later on in the day.
Seems the lines are getting darker so not sure if I did ovulate. Going to carry on testing this week to see what happens.

Thanks

Hewie30 · 02/09/2019 16:08

Hi everyone,

It's my first month using opks and I'm not getting on with the app so I'm charging myself.

I've put my last opk as 'High' but I just wanted to check I was right and it isn't my peak.

Thank you!

I am looking for advice - I’ve been using clear blue digital since Thursday, and getting negatives. I got another negative yesterday morning but we DTD (doing the deed) anyway. Later that afternoon I could feel stabbing pains in both ovary areas, first on the left and a little bit later on the right so I took an internet cheapie and it was quite dark but not as dark or darker than the control line I would say. This morning when using my clear blue I got a peak static smiley, so I’ve skipped high and gone straight to peak? I’m not sure we will get chance to DTD (doing the deed) again...do you think I would be in with a shot just with yesterday’s?

Hewie30 · 02/09/2019 19:00

@evelineuk Thank you :) x

EvelineUK · 02/09/2019 21:08

@mrsg101
Yes ovulation doesnt start when you wake up unfortunately so it's about dtd just before and on the day if possible, if you can dtd today, do so or tomorrow morning :)

OP posts:
EvelineUK · 02/09/2019 21:09

But yesterdays could certainly stick ;)

Sweetpea12 · 02/09/2019 21:32

Hope it’s ok I post on here... I had peak ovulation yesterday (confirmed with smiley on clearblue) but didn’t get DTD yesterday or today but we did for 3 days before the peak. Would there be a chance of getting pregnant? I feel daft for not knowing this Confused but this is first month I’ve got a positive opk as I tested earlier than usual

EvelineUK · 03/09/2019 09:02

It's possible but 3 days. Is probably too long for the sperm to survive...

OP posts:
Sweetpea12 · 03/09/2019 10:14

Just realised I didn’t word that properly at all we dtd the day before ovulation and for 2 days in a row before that day. Ah well there is always next month if not successful I’m trying to be as positive as I can Smile
