Anyone is about to embark on this rather stressful journey? We are awaiting for our first consultation after being referred to the clinic back in June. Have mixed feelings as I am excited and can't wait to start, but also nervous and stressed out at the same time! Would love to have cycle buddies in this madness!

Hey @Lily999 I am scared! How are you?

Lily999 · 04/11/2019 11:55

I wish I was there where you are already, after tomorrow you'll be done and no more injections!
How many follicles did you have on Saturday and what sizes were they?
I am also shtting myself only thinking about having the surgery next Monday, then 2weeks from that on the 25th having our screening appointment, we might end up having embryo transfer at the same time :)

Hey @lily999 it went well. Im still in the clinic trying to wake up lol
It wasn't scary at all. Feeling a bit of a pain in my ovaries but it isn't too bad. They took out 27 follicles 😳i hope they are good quality 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Lily999 · 05/11/2019 11:55

27 OMG, congrats, that's the most I have ever heard of!! When will you know more about them? Thanks for telling me it wasn't bad, I hate when people scare me, it has such a nerve wracking effect :) Well done you, hope you'll get spoiled for the rest of the day :)

Hiya! Do you have news about fertilisation?

Christabelle89 · 07/11/2019 00:29

Hey ladies 👋 hope you don't mind me jumping in on your thread 😊 I'm on day 4 of stims and felt like I needed to find some buddies to share my journey with. @Lily999 I had a similar situation to you as after I lost my first tube to an ectopic pregnancy they found that I had toxic fluid in my remaining tube and had to wait to have that clipped however we ended up being totally shocked with a second ectopic pregnancy which led to the 2nd tube being completely removed so here I am tubeless and on my IVF journey 😂 Me and OH like to say that the second baby sacrificed itself to get this ball rolling but now that it's finally happening it feels so surreal 🙈 @iwanttohaveababy oh wow that's a lot. I have to wait until Monday for my scan to see how my follicles are doing which is nerve-wracking. 😬

iwanttohaveababy · 11/11/2019 11:36

@Lily999 i am so sorry i haven't been on here but the stress was too much and i was trying to stay out of forums and places that reminded me of pregnancy, ivf and embryos. This process is an emotional roller coaster and one minute you are up, next minute you are down, it is so hard i swear! That's only the beginning!
So basically i got 3 frozen blastocyts that made it to day 5 and 6. Got 27 follicles retrieved, from them 11 were eggs and 7 fertilized. All
was going well on day 3, they were developing perfectly but the call on day 5 was a total shock. I got only one fully developed blastocyts which was frozen straight away and they told me they were going to leave the rest till day 6 to see if any of the will develop further. Well i end up with 2 more out of the 6 left so overall i am happy. We got 4 free transfer on the NHS and 3 embryos but hopefully we will be successful with the 1st tray. My period started today, just 6 days after the egg collection, 9 days earlier than my usual date. Also, i was hyper stimulated and had all kinds of side effectrs. Still dealning with a bad constipation and nothing really helps. A bit bloated as well. Had to visit the clinic for a scan because i was under the weather for days after the collection...Now, I need to wait for 1 or 2 cycles and then proceed with the transfer. I cant wait!!
Lily, hope everything goes well today! Keep us posted!

@Christabelle89 i wish you all the luck in the world! You will need it. And lots of patience and chocolate :)

Lily999 · 28/11/2019 16:14

Hiya @iwanttohaveababy, sorry I disappeared as well, seems like we both have been through emotional days. Sorry to hear you were hyperstimulated, that is a big fear of mine as well since my AMH levels are good for my age that is good, but also can be a curse when it comes to stimulation...
I am so happy to hear you have 3 little embies waiting for you, I am hoping to get the same outcome as well.
I had the surgery on the 11th of November (when you sent this message), it all went well then I found out I did not have anything wrong with my tubes, they are both open and healthy so the surgery was actually not necessary. Also we stopped trying back in July that was also not necessary, so it does sound like great news, at the same time it is quite upsetting that we spent so much money on having this surgery done plus obviously I have now 3scars on my belly and all this was for no reason whatsoever. So it goes I guess there is nothing we can do about it now. They thought I had liquid in my tube based on the scan, but apparently I was misdiagnosed.
Then this Monday we had an appointment at the IVF clinic and they took our blood, now we are waiting for the results to come back within 3weeks, then they will send out the meds (probably won't arrive before the new year due to the festive period), and then we can start with the meds in January depending on my cycle.
So I was also told to wait at least 1cycle before we start trying as now there is nothing stopping us from trying, but I am ovulating actually today and it was difficult to again "sit it out", but I know this is the last one. Just want 2019 to end and we can start making babies in the new year :)
Can't wait to catch up with you, we might end up having transfers in the same month or close enough!
@Christabelle89 welcome here! I was totally prepared to become tubeless myself, that did not happen, but I am also starting IVF in a month or so. Where are you now in the process?

Lily999 · 02/12/2019 11:18

Oh, people went silent, anyone has any updates?

OP posts:
iwanttohaveababy · 15/01/2020 12:48

Hey @Lily999

I haven't been receiving any notifications in my email so i just remembered about the forum today and logged in. Nothing new with me, no transfer yet.

Whats happening with you? Did you start the IVF process?

iwanttohaveababy · 24/01/2020 12:09

@Lily999 @Lily999 Hey girls!

Lily999 · 28/01/2020 11:21

Hi @iwanttohaveababy I actually have! Thanks for checking in :)
I am on the short protocol, started injections on Friday the 17th and had the trigger last night meaning egg collection is tomorrow whoop whoop!
As I am on short protocol (mild IVF) I am not expecting lots of eggs, but still very excited. I had 7follicles at the right size and 7that are behind (11-13mm) yesterday morning, not expecting the small ones to catch up until tomorrow, but still happy.
And how are you doing?

OP posts:
iwanttohaveababy · 28/01/2020 11:26

Great news @Lily999! I am sure you will have a lots of embryos just stay positive. Tomorrow should be very exciting!

I am hoping to have my transfer in the next few months. Its been ages! And i am very scared!

Lily999 · 28/01/2020 11:38

Thank you @iwanttohaveababy do you know what is the reason of waiting this long for the transfer to happen? Is that the OHSS?

OP posts:
Lily999 · 28/01/2020 11:39

I wonder how @Christabelle89 is getting on?

OP posts:
iwanttohaveababy · 28/01/2020 11:42

@Lily999, yes I had to wait for my body to get better after the ohss plus my tsh was slightly higher after all hormones so i had to work on it. I had to deal with anemia as well and low vitamin b... it was awesome :) Are you going for a fresh transfer or FET?

Lily999 · 28/01/2020 12:02

I see, it does make sense. My grandma and mum both suffer from high TSH so I got mine checked and it was 1.52, they said it was ok. But I still know I have the genes for it to go crap.
Well, after the surgery confirmed I don't have fluid in any of my tubes and they are perfectly healthy last Friday on day 8 of stimming the nurse said she thinks she sees fluid in there. Obviously I freaked out as I had the surgery to make sure there is nothing like that going on. All weekend I was on the edge of crying as if I do have hydrosalpinx our chances are pretty much halved. Then by Monday it was gone ans they said it was probably something else and I should not worry about it.
Now no idea what to do with this information, but decided I will try and remain positive.
As @Christabelle89 said if there is fluid it can be toxic to the embryo so it is pretty bad. By I had the lap surgery to confirm and the surgeon said there was nothing and no sign of any sort of damage whatsoever. I was a bit annoyed he didn't clip it anyway (as the fluid can come and go), but he said clipping a perfectly healthy tube is against his rules and there was in fact fluid, but outside the uterus and not in the tube, that is what they saw on the scan.
So all I can do is to hope for the best :)

OP posts:
Lily999 · 28/01/2020 12:03

Sorry never answered to your question, it will be a fresh transfer if everything goes well. I am also hoping we can get "leftovers" to freeze in case this fails and/or for a sibling later on! :)

OP posts:
iwanttohaveababy · 28/01/2020 12:15

wish you lots of luck tomorrow. keep us updated :)

Lily999 · 30/01/2020 10:28

Hiya! Yesterday went well, we got 10eggs that was to be expected on the mild protocol. We are waiting for the phone call to find out how many of them fertilised, this wait is awful. I keep thinking there will be 0, mt mind is going crazy.

OP posts:
Lily999 · 30/01/2020 10:45

So, got the call, not great news, but not the worst either, we got 4 embryos. They will call us on Friday to let us know how they are doing, transfer is booked for Monday. Just have to hope one of them will make it.

OP posts:
iwanttohaveababy · 01/02/2020 21:44

Heyy @Lily999 whats happening? How many survived? How are you feeling! Sorry im not receiving notifications!! Let me know 🙏🏻

Lily999 · 02/02/2020 06:35

Hi @iwanttohaveababy we got the update yesterday and we actually have 5embryos as one fertilised later! :)
3of them are growing well: 9cells, 8cells and 7cells. There's one that is slightly behind with 6cells, and the last one is slow growing that's 3cells, we call it the slow little sibling :D
Transfer is at noon on Monday. So tomorrow is the big day when I get knocked up, can't wait! :) And how are you?

OP posts:
iwanttohaveababy · 02/02/2020 10:13

Hey @Lily999 thats great news. I believe you have to wait till day 5 to see how many will make it and then freeze some of them. News are great, things are working out good for you, have faith 🙏🏻
I am fine thanks, just waiting for My period to start and i will call the clinic.
