Hi guys I am 7DPO (I think) and don’t think I’ve done it this month but feeling rather alone and would like someone to talk to about it all!

Only symptoms I’ve had this month are IM BOILING HOT (but it is June), I’m really tired constantly and went to bed at 8.30 the last two nights (but my work is crap atm) and really heavy, sore boobs.

Think I ovulated last Monday/Tuesday and going to test Friday. My periods aren’t back to being regular as of yet after coming off the mini pill so it’s anyones guess.

Would love someone to symptom spot with!

Hi @PeanutButter19 thank you for your reply. I'm usually really regular so don't really know what's happened this month! I can imagine it's really hard to track, think I will struggle now it's been late. I'm ttc my second x

rbrum · 02/07/2019 19:12

It’s really hard not to get hopes up isn’t it. Thanks for replying. Still no period... but guess as it’s only my second cycle after 10 years of pill, it could easily just be that things are still getting into their regular pattern!
@lonelyonee I used a early detection test from first response and it was definitely negative, no line at all! Will test again eventually just don’t want to get hopes up... think I’ve just resigned myself to the fact it’s not happened this month - do still feel crampy so assuming my period will come soon!

PeanutButter19 · 02/07/2019 21:28

@embaby was your first baby planned and how did that go for you? I always use to think I can’t wait to plan my pregnancy etc and now I sort of wish I just found out I was pregnant this planning is stressful and I’m such an over thinker so it’s driving me a bit mad

embaby · 02/07/2019 21:42

@PeanutButter19 to be completely honest, no, she wasn't. I was actually on the pill at the time and really not in a good position to have a baby. Best thing that's ever happened to me though. But as it was an unplanned pregnancy it's very different this time around. I'm actually 'trying' now. And naively I expected it to be really quick and easy like last time xx

PeanutButter19 · 02/07/2019 22:44

Sure that’s what I thought, I honestly thought you could come off the pill and get pregnant straight away, between friends of mine and a few family members all getting pregnant on the pill I never realised it could be an issue 🙈 usual bad luck me haha

PeanutButter19 · 02/07/2019 22:44

Oops forgot to tag you @embaby

lonelyonee · 03/07/2019 14:51

@PeanutButter19 yeah I'm really confused by them! They're all coming back completely different which is mental. I've done some in the morning some in the afternoon. They seemed to be getting darker then went light again.
Teaming it up with CM I'm trying to figure out when it will be but it's all guess work and luck of the draw really until you get a positive one really isn't it.
Hey @embaby ! We all seem to be around the same place... I'm ttc baby #1 for 3 months so far with no joy. Annoying!
@rbrum awww sorry to hear but at least you know for sure. I thought I'd be similar but my cycles are like clockwork which in itself is quite strange!
I was convinced I'd be one of those people to come off it and get caught straight away so I delayed coming off it by a good 8/9 months, but I'm so glad I have because it's taking longer than anticipated and tbh I prefer not putting that stuff in my body.

Skyla01 · 03/07/2019 15:18

@lonelyonee I'm the same- glad I stopped the pill when I did, it's taking a while for my cycles to sort themselves out.
@rbrum you're not out until AF shows up, but irregular cycles are common after the pill. If you are able to track ovulation you can predict when AF is due (~14 days after ov).

I'm on cycle 3. Going to try using clearblue opk this month. Hope it works because it was very £££ for a test with 20 sticks! I didn't ovulate until cd30 last cycle so won't be starting to test for a while yet.

PeanutButter19 · 03/07/2019 20:33

@lonelyonee mine are the same I had that one that got really dark but not positive and all been lighter since so I don’t know if I actually peaked or not.. suppose I’ve know in two weeks if I get af or bfp 🙈🙄

Skyla01 · 04/07/2019 22:06

@PeanutButter19 I hope that was ovulation occurring! At least you now have a date two weeks from now to aim for. I was able to tell my first ovulation due to lots of ewcm. Happened about 6 weeks after stopping the pill. Period came exactly 14 days later. I was about 5% disappointed we didn't conceive straight off, but 95% relieved and happy I'd managed to ovulate and have a period at all! So hopefully you'll get that confirmation soon.

PeanutButter19 · 04/07/2019 22:12

@Skyla01 haha that’s exactly what I’m like I hope it comes then I’m like but no I don’t😂 I honestly think my hormones have been been all over the show cause my opks have went up and down and I got some EWCM about a week before the really dark opk. Il be 12 weeks off the pill come Monday.. I feel like a loon checking toilet paper every time I go to the loo 🙈

Zm2019 · 04/07/2019 23:49

Hi all.
Hope you dont mind me joining.
We will be ttc #2 end of August after our holiday.
I came off the jab in 2017 and Af has only recently started being normal the last few months. I've started taking folic acid daily to help prepare, can anyone recommend anything else that i/we can do.
X

Skyla01 · 05/07/2019 18:30

Hi @Zm2019. That's a long time to take for your periods to get back to normal! I think a lot of us are struggling post-contraception to get a regular cycle. Maybe the most important thing is learning when you are ovulating and time dtd right. Although you could just DTD every other day through the cycle and you'll be covered too (if you have the stamina!).

lonelyonee · 07/07/2019 11:48

Hey guys sorry for being awol for so long but unfortunately I don't have much to say! No positive OPKs for me as of yet I'm not sure what's going on, whether I ovulated super early or it's going to be later than predicted? No idea. The ones I have been doing are lighter and lighter each time so maybe.
I did have a dizzy spell yesterday and some nausea today but it could just be slight dehydration due to the warm weather?

Welcome @Zm2019 we're all trying to get back to our natural cycles but none of us have a clue whether we're ovulating or not atm... trying OPKs but not having much luck as of yet.

How's everyone else getting on?

@lonelyonee

I’m now just DTD (or trying to) every other day atm. I ordered some ovulation sticks last week which were due to come Friday but haven’t turned up yet which is frustrating as my app suggests ovulation day is today, but I’m not convinced as not much CF. I guess all I can do at the minute a make sure we are having regular sex. Does anybody else feel this is now a chore rather than an enjoyable experience? I feel like it’s so regulated and the spontaneous aspect has gone as we have been trying since October last year xx

AllTheGlitter · 07/07/2019 13:43

Hi guys! Hope you’re all okay!

Sorry was on holiday and now just waiting for ovulation I guess!

How’s everyone else getting on?

Skyla01 · 07/07/2019 17:14

I'm currently cd9, with ovulation not predicted until cd30 so I'm trying to distract myself with other things! Hoping for a shorter cycle this time though so will start DTD fairly regular (aiming for every 3rd day), and going to start opk from next weekend. Just gotta wait for ovulation now. 3rd cycle for us so hoping it'll be third time lucky!

@Keepingfaith100 I know what you mean about DTD so much. Tbh I'm often focused on just getting the job done, might try and enjoy it a bit more this month. It hasn't been too bad for us so far as we haven't been trying for too long.

Skyla01 · 07/07/2019 17:15

@lonelyonee what cycle day are you?

lonelyonee · 07/07/2019 18:16

@Keepingfaith100 I'm trying my best to stick to it too but yeah it's tough going especially when you really don't feel like it. Maybe we all need to spice things up a bit?
@AllTheGlitter how was your hol?

@Skyla01 I'm on cd 16 which is right in the middle of my predicted fertile window according to ovia. Although I'm getting bfns on my OPKs so I haven't got a clue when ovulation is actually happening!!!
Mine have been 27/28 days since coming off the pill which is nice and short. I'm on cycle 4 now so I don't really know what's going on tbh.

PeanutButter19 · 07/07/2019 18:23

@lonelyonee hey :) I’m now 12 weeks today since my withdrawal bleed finished after the pill and nothing since, keep getting near positive opks but I was reading about it online and apparently coming off the pill your lh hormone is too high and can take time to come down, so yeah still waiting and hoping something happens soon 😊🤞

Skyla01 · 07/07/2019 18:27

@lonelyonee perhaps this is a random shorter / longer cycle? Perhaps just try and DTD every other day anyway then you'll be covered either way.

embaby · 07/07/2019 19:37

I'm only on cd5. Ordered some ovulation sticks online so waiting for them to arrive. This month I'm just going to relax about it and if it happens it happens. I can't deal with the stress and all the fun being taken out of DTD! Deep down I really really hope this is the month xxx

AllTheGlitter · 07/07/2019 20:02

@PeanutButter19 try not to worry too much! I waited 80 days for a bleed after I came off the pill and I’m now regular(ish)

AllTheGlitter · 07/07/2019 20:05

I think I’m going to do OPKs this month as I have no idea when I actually ovulate. I do get EWCM so might just start doing OPKs when I see that?

I’m completely clueless about when to do them and I always forget Hmm

Jadey31 · 07/07/2019 20:07

@lonelyonee hey! Currently at CD17. We've DTD CD6, CD9, CD12, CD14 and CD15 (fertility score on Ovia was a 10 that day!) I haven't done any ovulation tests yet as trying to see how things go this month however will be testing after AF which is due on the 19th! We're going away that weekend too with family so kinda hoping my AF holds off. I miss not being in control of my periods 😂 hope you're doing ok xx
