Hi guys I am 7DPO (I think) and don’t think I’ve done it this month but feeling rather alone and would like someone to talk to about it all!

Only symptoms I’ve had this month are IM BOILING HOT (but it is June), I’m really tired constantly and went to bed at 8.30 the last two nights (but my work is crap atm) and really heavy, sore boobs.

Think I ovulated last Monday/Tuesday and going to test Friday. My periods aren’t back to being regular as of yet after coming off the mini pill so it’s anyones guess.

Would love someone to symptom spot with!

@rbrum welcome! It sounds like you are doing everything right! How are you tracking ovulation? Congrats on your regular cycle! (I've been off the pill 3+ months with only 1 period to show for it). I wouldn't worry- according to the stats even with a good try at a cycle each month it's totally normal to take 6 months plus. And after that there's often nothing wrong at all, just a bit of bad luck.

rbrum · 29/06/2019 09:56

Hi
Tracking ovulation only by using the app Flo. I tend to get quite noticeable tummy cramps around the time I am due to ovulate so assume that’s ovulation pain (never had it before starting the pill 10 years ago but it’s really noticeable and like clockwork now!) took a pregnancy test last night and got a negative result :( boo!
Thanks for your kind support.

Skyla01 · 29/06/2019 12:28

I use Flo too but since I don't have regular cycles it can't predict anything! That's really helpful if you can pinpoint ovulation with physical signs. Hope you get that BFP soon!

PeanutButter19 · 29/06/2019 17:11

I’m using flow too but unless you know when your cycles and when af is due it’s no help I just like it for recording

CroissantwithCheese · 29/06/2019 21:01

I’m using Clue on and off for years and find it really great. Has anyone else tried it? I don’t know how it compares with flo

PeanutButter19 · 29/06/2019 21:36

Sorry it’s actually glow I use, but as I don’t know my cycles it obviously doesn’t either but I like using it to track my bbt and any ovulation sticks, and eventually af when I get one.. we’re onto 11 weeks waiting

Skyla01 · 30/06/2019 09:03

@PeanutButter19 really feeling your pain. It sucks when you want to get on with ttc, but without a cycle as such you can't get started. And because everyone is different there's no way of knowing how your own body will react once you stop the pill. If you are using opks at least you will pick up ovulation when it does happen.

My own cycles have taken a while to come back, make me think I might not go back on the pill until I've completed my family.

PeanutButter19 · 30/06/2019 11:05

@Skyla01 thanks it really is a pain! I’m so annoyed at the GP not advising, it was about 2 years ago I came off the implant and went to the doctors as I hadn’t had a period in 5 months and wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing by my body which the gp told me to take the pill again (was on it before the implant) I never knew it was all a fake period etc, if I’d of known better I’d of stayed off it as my hubby and I have been together 9 years so we knew we’d be starting a family soon.. don’t think il ever go back on it

Skyla01 · 30/06/2019 12:47

Oh dear that doesn't sound like the best advice from your GP. Really hope that your cycle comes back soon. I've read on here about things that might be able to help, I think Agnus castus and soy isoflanes (?right spelling). You could ways think about researching that stuff. No idea if it's a good idea or not.

PeanutButter19 · 30/06/2019 17:23

@Skyla01 I know! I started taking Angus Castus last month, just a small dose and also myo-insolotol or something which I’ve heard is good. I’m just trying to be patient it was all normal beforehand so I’m going to panic yet 🙈

Skyla01 · 30/06/2019 19:59

@PeanutButter19 ah Ok, already on it. I don't think you need to panic at all! I think you'll just need to wait for cycles to restart. I know that's not very helpful to hear or anything but there's probably not much you can do right now. Hope that those extra supplements can help.

PeanutButter19 · 30/06/2019 20:06

This is my ovulation test tonight @Skyla01.... it’s the darkest it’s ever been so I’m wondering if it’s nearly time to ovulate 🙈

@AllTheGlitter definitely best to give your mind a break..

Skyla01 · 01/07/2019 13:22

@PeanutButter19 I haven't used opk yet myself but that looks good! If I were you I would get down to DTD for the next few days. It's always possible you can catch the first ovulation successfully! I really hope this is your ovulation finally coming!

Skyla01 · 01/07/2019 13:27

@AllTheGlitter hope you've had a good trip! I know what you mean! My next ovulation isn't predicted until 28th of July so I have ages to wait! Hope it might come sooner though. But definitely need to keep my mind busy for a few weeks!

PeanutButter19 · 01/07/2019 13:31

Thanks @Skyla01 fingers crossed 🤞

lonelyonee · 01/07/2019 14:29

Hey everyone just catching up as I've been a busy bee the last few days & not had a chance to pop on.
Little update... I'm using OPKs now, done the last 3 days & there is a faint line which is getting stronger. Going to do another one tonight and if it's s strong one I'll use a clearblue digital one to see if I get a smiley face!
@PeanutButter19 that's a strong one, get dtd every other day for the next few days! I'm also surprised your GP didn't advise you of that. Mine were actually really good telling me it can take up to 2 years to conceive after coming off the pill - they advised me to do it there and then but I wasn't ready at the time.

@Skyla01 just get some cheap dip ones they're easy to get from places like HB/wilko... only around 99p - £1.99.

@AllTheGlitter Aww lovely where have you gone?

@CroissantwithCheese I used clue for a while but wanted something more in depth so I found ovia which records cm etc...

@rbrum Welcome... sounds like you're going in the right direction, did AF show up?

  • if I get a smiley face I'll post it Smile
PeanutButter19 · 01/07/2019 15:10

Hi @lonelyonee best of luck you get your positive opk soon I find them very frustrating 🙈 it was lighter again this morning but il take last nights as a positive incase and hubby has be warned haha 🥰

rbrum · 01/07/2019 19:05

Thankyou. I did a pregnancy test on Friday. Period was due Saturday (if my cycle is regular again!). Pregnancy test came back negative but I still haven’t had my period and the cramps have stopped which is strange! The test was definitely negative but I can’t help but get my hopes up the longer I wait for my period to come...

Skyla01 · 01/07/2019 22:18

@rbrum you're not out until AF arrives! It is a tricky balance between gets hopes up and not getting too disappointed. Do you know when you ovulated? Your periods could also be a bit irregular after the pill. But you could try testing again in a few days?

lonelyonee · 02/07/2019 13:41

@PeanutButter19 thanks, I did one yesterday afternoon which was light but darker than previous ones then one this morning which was really faint... I have no idea what's going on, maybe I ovulated super early and I've missed it.
@rbrum if AF still doesn't show retest in a day or two could be that the hcg levels were low so no reaction with the test strip. What tests are you using?

Update - CF seems to be very watery and clear. According to ovia it is usually stretchy around OV so I'll keep an eye on it - if my app is correct I should be ovulating Saturday? We shall seeeee!

PeanutButter19 · 02/07/2019 15:12

@lonelyonee they are a right pain in the backside I’ve been doing them loads, many twice a day for weeks and the colour goes up down all the time

embaby · 02/07/2019 15:31

Hi girls. Please can I join? I need ttc friends! Been trying around 2-3 months, AF 6 days late this month so massively got my hopes up, but arrived today 😢 trying again next month xx

PeanutButter19 · 02/07/2019 16:07

Hi @embaby, Awh it’s so gut wrenching! I’m TTC baby 1 but I’ve been off the pill 3 months now with no af so I’ve been doing opks and tracking bbt to try and spot ovulation but don’t really think I’ve even ovulated yet 🙈
