So I thought I would start a thread and see who else has started the dreaded TWW, I'm currently 2DPO and finding it impossible to wait to find out the outcome, so I need some ladies to share my insanity with.

@Abi58 @JenDaw @Markygirl1995 I am considering a private scan but they only do it from 7 weeks+ which seems pointless if I'll be having a 8 week scan 🤷🏻‍♀️

So I caved in! ☺️

@NinaPS hooray!! How far along do you think you are?

Markygirl1995 · 24/06/2019 19:32

Whats everyone's CM like? Mines just wet at the moment

NinaPS · 24/06/2019 19:45

@Treaclepie19 - If my calculations are correct then I ovulated on the 10th of June which would make me officially 2 weeks pregnant, but my last period was 28th may so going off that I will be 4weeks tomorrow

NinaPS · 24/06/2019 19:46

@Markygirl1995 funny you should mention CM because I was convinced I wasn't pregnant because of it as I've heard pregnant women usually have EWCM, but I'm very dry and thick

@NinaPS ahh that's brilliant!! ✅ You can get a scan from 6 weeks privately hun.

Also, I booked in with our midwife today (knowing that they're always fully booked in advance) and I was told they (our GP perhaps) don't book in now until 9/10 weeks... sure it used to be 8! And then (based on last pregnancy), the scan won't be until at least 12 weeks if we can get in with only 2 weeks notice 🤔

Yes, it's the TV/ internal 'not in a hospital' thing I was thinking about... but didn't realise that they tend to be professional sonographers that also work in hospitals etc. Hmm, will have a think- thanks ladies!

Xxx

@NinaPS interesting every pregnancy must be different!

Markygirl1995 · 24/06/2019 19:53

@NinaPS I just have a feeling I'm not pregnant 😫

FredMyl · 24/06/2019 19:59

@Markygirl1995 I'm the same as you AF is due on Sunday but mine is very wet, white and creamy. I'm tempted to do a test tomorrow morning and just see what happens if I get a BFN I will keep doing them every two days. When is AF due for you?

Markygirl1995 · 24/06/2019 20:03

@FredMyl I'm due Thursday I took a test this morning but checked it an an hour later there's a faint line but not sure if it's evap or if you can on FRER? Done another though I saw something light again 20 minutes later I can see a faint line 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Lemon27 · 24/06/2019 20:04

Hi ladies, congrats to those who got a BFP! Exciting stuff!

So we are currently trying (but trying to not take it too seriously) TTC. Have one amazing DS. Back in Feb/March I had a weird episode where I had all the symptoms of being pregnant but all negative tests. Didn’t get a period for 7/8 weeks it was really weird. Got blood tests then which showed all was fine so doc thinks maybe I just skipped a month/ovulated late.

Was upsetting as we’d kinda thought I was pregnant. Then in April I got a BFP after 4 weeks and we were delighted. Did the test on a Sunday and on the Tuesday I started to bleed and unfortunately the pregnancy didn’t last. Again not a nice experience but got an internal scan after and confirmed all was fine to try again.

So, now this month I had my period on I think around the 4th (wasn’t keeping track as my head was still a bit meh after last 2/3 months).

Last night my nipples were on fire and very sensitive, and today I’m knackered, that proper dead tiredness I remember from my first pregnancy. Not sure if I’m imagining it but would symptoms kick in that early? Technically I’d only be a week past ovulation and as id normally have a 30 day cycle I won’t really be able to test till next week or so will I? What’s the earliest peoples BFP have shown up? I have a stash of clear blue digital as well as cheapies.

Sorry for the essay, I’m not sure what to hope for and afraid to go research in case this is another miss/non starter and I get my hopes up. Not mentioning a thing to DH as I know he took the last one hard.

FredMyl · 24/06/2019 20:05

Oh wow fingers crossed it's a BFP for you!! I must admit it's amazing hearing all these positives that people are getting I am just hoping to God that I am as lucky as you guys are this month.

Markygirl1995 · 24/06/2019 20:08

@FredMyl I'm not sure though because it could be evap 🤷‍♀️

NinaPS · 24/06/2019 20:10

@Markygirl1995 have you done anymore tests?

OP posts:
NinaPS · 24/06/2019 20:16

@Lemon27 Welcome! I'm glad you felt you could come and talk to us about your journey. I wish you all the best for this months and hopefully you will get the BFP you deserve! I got my BFP at 11dpo. I started testing from 8dpo and got negatives up until the 11th day. The only symptoms I had were sore boobs and cramping which I thought was AF on her way.
Good Luck ❤️

@FredMyl where are you up to in your cycle this month?

OP posts:
NinaPS · 24/06/2019 20:18

@JenDaw are these 6week scans usually done at independent clinics? The one most local to me only do a scan starting from 7 weeks onwards but maybe I could find another clinic that will scan at 6 weeks. Will you be having an early scan?

Markygirl1995 · 24/06/2019 20:22

@NinaPS waiting for tomorrow morning now x

Lemon27 · 24/06/2019 20:29

Thanks @NinaPS.

I think I’ll hold off till this weekend anyway or early next week, and monitor any other ‘symptoms’ I have, and make sure I just eat well etc. I feel exhausted at the thought of testing and it being negative as the last one kinda drained me even tho I didn’t feel it at the time.

I met 2 close friends last week who told me they’re both coincidentally pregnant one month apart and I guess that kinda put the spotlight on how I feel about it and I really feel I’m ready to go again.

Only thing is, please reassure me on this, the past 6-12 months I’ve been out of any real exercise routine, and haven’t eaten as well as I used to, let my sweet tooth get the better of me so as a result of that I’m probably around a stone at least overweight. On DS1 it wasn’t long after I got married when I got pregnant, I was very fit and active and ate fantastically so feel like I started off at best.

I guess I’m worried if I’m pregnant is this baby less likely to be as perfect and healthy? I realise as I type that how silly it sounds. Really gonna get my bum in gear now regardless. I don’t smoke or drink to excess or live on takeaways or anything like that just havent been living my most healthy life if you get me (sure who has lol) Confused

Treaclepie19 · 24/06/2019 20:41

@Lemon27 don't fret.
With our 3yo I was unhealthy and almost obese.
Then I got pregnant again last year when I was much healthier and 3 stone lighter and our baby was really poorly so we had a TFMR.
Obviously that's a very rare case, but just to reassure you when things go wrong its normally out of our control.

JenDaw · 24/06/2019 20:50

Hi @Lemon27 :) I got a very faint positive at 9dpo x

JenDaw · 24/06/2019 20:51

@NinaPS I just googled a couple of local ones- and looked on the mothercare website xx

NinaPS · 24/06/2019 20:57

@Lemon27 please don't beat yourself up about exercise or weight. I'm not exactly the healthiest I've ever been, in fact I'm probably the unhealthiest I've ever been, granted I'm not overweight as such but I'm only 5foot tall so weigh more than I probably should for my height and I managed to get pregnant first time this month. The only thing I can say I did was take folic acid for a month before TTC which may or may not have helped 🤷🏻‍♀️ keep us updated when you do test no matter the result as we are here to lend an ear (or eyes) and give you advice where we can. Wishing you all the best on your TTC journey ❤️

@NinaPS @Markygirl1995 @JenDaw @Abi58 congratulations to all 4 of you on your BFP. I'm going to quickly explain the last few days that my wife experienced.

8dpo - light bleeding
9&10dpo - heavy bleeding with small clots
11dpo - blood only when wiping. Did a FRER and came back BFN as you will see in the photo it's white as anything
12dpo - brown and blood when wiping only, today the missus moaned her teeth were hurting. Decided to do a test this evening and within 3mins had a BFP.

Normally we'd assume the bleeding was AF even though it was shorter than normal and a bit lighter. However the same things happened on the MC last time though the MC was two weeks after this.

Fingers crossed this time it's a healthy sticky bean and just a heavy implantation and the womb clearing itself out. We travel to go on holiday this Friday and she's already told me that she is packing the IC HCG tests to ensure the line gets dark Hmm

Anyway hope everyone's goes well and will keep updating.
