So I thought I would start a thread and see who else has started the dreaded TWW, I'm currently 2DPO and finding it impossible to wait to find out the outcome, so I need some ladies to share my insanity with.

Abi58 · 24/06/2019 15:28

@Markygirl1995🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

NinaPS · 24/06/2019 15:35

@Abi58 I'm in the same boat with telling people, I think we might tell his parents this week but just remind them that it is still very early on and that anything can happen. I just want to have my first scan so the pregnancy can start to feel real

Bloating reallllly bad! Thought I'd weigh myself because I though I must've put some weight on after eating my weight in Sainsbury's donuts and Cadbury chocolate it's the other way round I've lost weight! So some maddd bloating is going on today my jeans too tight

Abi58 · 24/06/2019 16:13

@NinaPS aw that will be lovely! We haven't decided yet we want to tell parents but I know him mum won't keep her mouth shut so we can only say when we're happy for pretty much all of his side of the family to know. 😩
I haven't even told my husband yet as want to be more sure it will stick this time as I want him to be able to be excited not cautiously happy 🤞🏻
Are you going for an earlier scan or the usual 12 week?

@Markygirl1995 I'm with you I could probably pass for 6nmonths preggers the amount I am bloated 🐡

Markygirl1995 · 24/06/2019 16:19

@Abi58 is this your first? I had an early scan with my LO to find out how long gone I was because I conceived him straight after miscarriage I have a picture which I'll find and send tomorrow he was 6/7 weeks

Abi58 · 24/06/2019 16:38

@Markygirl1995 yes it will be 😁🙈 aw that would be lovely 😁🥰 I'm thinking of booking one to help put my mind at rest that this one is staying out (if I make it past the weekend!) 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Markygirl1995 · 24/06/2019 16:46

Chance of miscarriage decreases if you see and hear the heart beat at 8 weeks xx

Markygirl1995 · 24/06/2019 16:46

@Abi58 how intense were your cramping too?

JenDaw · 24/06/2019 16:52

@NinaPS I will lol- you too :)

Has anyone ever paid for a private early scan? Wondering how they scan you lol (I've had early scans at the EPU and not sure I'd want that kind outside of a hospital 🤦‍♀️

@Markygirl1995 was yours private or at an EPU?

Treaclepie19 · 24/06/2019 17:10

@JenDaw I've paid for private scans each time. They always do an external and then depending on the clinic will either rescan you or do an internal.

JenDaw · 24/06/2019 17:15

@Treaclepie19 Ahh thanks. How early did you manage to get an image from an external? Nothing against internal- but something about not being in a hospital would make me find it strange xx

Markygirl1995 · 24/06/2019 17:17

@JenDaw @Abi58 as it was earlier I had a trans one instead of over the tummy because they couldnt are anything. I went to EPU doctor referred me because I had no LMP I have had a private scan before but that was 4D I went to a place in Worthing and they were lovely!

Glitterandunicorns · 24/06/2019 17:21

Hi @JenDaw. I had 2 private early scans at (what I thought was) 9 weeks. In that case, it was a MMC. The doctor did a TV scan rather than abdominal.
To be fair, we chose that clinic because it is run by an NHS consultant if that makes any difference. I don't know if it's different in other private clinics.
I've also had two other scans in early pregnancy (one at 6 weeks and one at 8 weeks) and both were also done TV, but both were done in a hospital EPU.
The 6 week one was another MC but the 8 week one became my lovely son.
Best of luck for happy and healthy pregnancies to you all.

Markygirl1995 · 24/06/2019 17:29

God just realised my spelling in my comment 🤦🏻‍♀️ sorry guys so tired

TimeIhadaNameChange · 24/06/2019 17:37

I've taken countless tests over the last week and all have been positive BUT showing very faint lines. I dunno. I'm cautiously optimistic but will be happier once I see a decent line, assuming AF doesn't appear in the meantime. I do have an appt for next week to see the DP. Eeeeek!

Treaclepie19 · 24/06/2019 18:06

@JenDaw 6w 4d both times I've seen a heartbeat and been dated 6 weeks (externally) and then later my dates have caught up :)

Abi58 · 24/06/2019 18:23

@Markygirl1995 I didn't know that! Is that when it is more stable or is it your body knowing it's there somehow lessening the risk?

Mostly like dull af cramps but had a few sharp almost taken my breath away, yesterday it was my left side and to touch it on my skin was sore,...could be unrelated 🙈

Thank you (about the scan info)

@JenDaw what type do you mean? Internal? i think mothercare do one and if you google it their website says what they do.

@TimeIhadaNameChange how many days have you had faint tests for? Have you got pics? When is af due? 🤞🏻 for you

NinaPS · 24/06/2019 18:36

@TimeIhadaNameChange congratulations on the BFP how many dpo did you find out?
