Let us know @Cupcakes1234 xx

Robbo93 · 19/06/2019 12:42

@dizzy85 I hope so too!! Thanks chick xx

Cupcakes1234 · 19/06/2019 17:09

I've just had a sudden thought, my dad has had thyroid problems for years and he's been on medication for as long as I can remember. I'm just doing some research but the first thing I come across is it can make your periods stop all together and it can run in families. I think I'll need another trip to the doctor and ask for a blood test x

Cupcakes1234 · 19/06/2019 17:10

Thyroid controls a lot of your bodies hormones so it would make a lot of sense considering my tests have been negative x

dizzy85 · 19/06/2019 19:48

@Cupcakes1234 It's definitely worth asking for a blood test to check that. Did you take more tests then?

@dizzy85 I haven't done anymore but I really don't think I am. When I was pregnant with my son I knew, I had strong positives after a week late, sore really sore breasts etc. It's always a little deflating getting a negative too. I'm going to go back to the doctors next week. I'm not happy with them telling me I have to wait 6 months before they will do anything and just rule anything else out first x

dizzy85 · 21/06/2019 20:59

Hope everyone's doing ok?

@Cupcakes1234 hope you manage to sort things with the doctor!

@dizzy85 I'm feeling good. My boobs aren't half as sore as they have been and I've not really been feeling sick anymore. I wouldn't really know I was pregnant if it wasn't for the lack of period. I saw the midwife on Thursday and have a scan this weds. How are you feeling?

Kinsella82 · 23/06/2019 19:18

Hi @dizzy85 I'm feeling ok. Boobs are sore and massive. Tummy gets huge in the evening but goes back down for the morning lol
7 weeks today but still haven't told anyone apart from dh and sister in law.
In a strange way I'm nervous to tell people. Don't know why

dizzy85 · 23/06/2019 19:27

@MrsB899 That's good to hear, how did it go with the midwife? Did she confirm due date? I bet your excited for the scan 😊. I feel pretty similar, although I'm suffering badly with sorry tmi but a really sore butt hole 😳 I think it's a combination from pregnancy constipation and the iron tablets I have to take it's so painful, gonna have to visit the emergency doctors tomorrow as it feels like I'm pooping glass. But before this I was feeling really good. Excited for my appointment next month.

@Kinsella82 hello! Glad your feeling good too😊my boobs are definitely heavier, they are already massive to begin with so I dread them getting any bigger! I've not told anyone yet either. I'm quite nervous too actually, but I've started looking at fun ways I can reveal it to them so it's getting me more excited aswell. When do you think you will tell people?

OP posts:
Kinsella82 · 23/06/2019 19:56

@dizzy85 I will probably tell my Mam next weekend and then everyone else family wise after that. It'll still be early days but I'm not going to be able to hide it much longer.

Kinsella82 · 23/06/2019 19:57

I won't be telling my other kids for as long as I can possibly hold off for. 9 months is a long time and would be even longer in their little world!

MrsB899 · 23/06/2019 20:54

@dizzy85 oh that sounds horrendous! The midwife was ok just took some details really and I don't have to see her again until 16 weeks. I can't wait for the scan I just wanna know everything is ok. The midwife worked out the due date to be the 10th Feb going by my last period. We've not told any family yet I'm so worried my kids will find out in case something goes wrong

dizzy85 · 24/06/2019 09:23

@Kinsella82 yer that's understandable bless them. How long is it until you start showing is it around the 3month time? I can't wait to get a bump 😆

OP posts:
dizzy85 · 24/06/2019 09:28

@MrsB899 oh it definitely is horrendous! I'm just waiting to see the doctor so hopefully they can sort me out! I know what you mean I can't wait to see in there too. Let us know how you get on at your scan. 😊

Kinsella82 · 24/06/2019 18:19

@dizzy85 how are you today? Did you get sorted?
Hemmeroids are very common in pregnancy especially if taking extra iron. They might get you to take more fibre as a supplement. Try and drink as much water as You can. It's really no joke x

dizzy85 · 24/06/2019 19:14

@Kinsella82 Well apparently I have several anal fissures, cuts up there basically😳 I had a similar thing happen last year again from the iron tablets and it turned into a bad staph infection which was horrible so he's told me I have to take antibiotics just incase any bacteria gets in there, he's also gave me lactaluse and a steroid cream. So now I'm an anxious mess and I don't want to take any of it. He's told me it's perfectly safe to take whilst pregnant but I don't know. From what I've read people are saying the antibiotics and lactaluse are ok but not the cream. Have you ever had to take anything like this whilst pregnant?

OP posts:
Kinsella82 · 24/06/2019 19:29

@dizzy85 sorry no I've only ever taken the lactulose while pregnant.
Hopefully the combination of what he's given you will work and sort you out. It's not nice being so anxious but it's understandable. Maybe ask him for some reassurance about the cream x

dizzy85 · 24/06/2019 19:48

@Kinsella82 was the lactaluse ok when you took it? It is frustrating I'd never imagine taking antibiotics whilst pregnant to be ok but my OH is trying to reassure me saying the doctor wouldn't have given them to me if it wasn't safe. And the other side of it is if I do get infected then that could do more harm. Oh it is horrible. I'm gonna pop in the chemist tomorrow and ask about the cream I think.

OP posts:
Kinsella82 · 24/06/2019 20:16

@dizzy85 yes the lactulose is basically sugary syrup. It didn't help move things for me but I think I didn't take enough of it. Found it too sweet!

dizzy85 · 24/06/2019 21:09

@Kinsella82 ah well hopefully it at least makes going to the toilet easier and I'll be happy 🙈😄

OP posts:
MrsB899 · 24/06/2019 22:10

@dizzy85 I took antibiotics in early pregnancy and all was ok. I'm not sure about the cream though xx

dizzy85 · 24/06/2019 23:06

Thanks @MrsB899 that makes me feel a bit better, I took one earlier and have been anxious all night but I'm just gonna persist as it's so painful. As for the cream I'm just going to not bother with that from what I've read it doesn't sound like a good idea.

MrsB899 · 25/06/2019 16:12

Scan day tomorrow. I'm so nervous. I've convinced myself they will say there is no heartbeat
