I am losing my mind here now, opks are back to being really light. No sign of ovulation at all. 😩 The last time I took the Soy it made all the opks much darker so I don't think they can have had the same effect this cycle. It looks like ovulation is delayed this month. I am so fed up with my body being so shit, I think I might have the summer off from trying completely.
I have a doctors appointment in May so I think I will try and do one last push at getting referred to a specialist. If they refuse I think we will just give it a break over summer and try again in September. I am just losing patience with it and it is making me really low especially after the MC. Sorry for the rant ladies.

@PinkFizz19 So sorry to hear about your mc. I had the same with a flash of hope and I know how hard it is. Give yourself time to pick yourself up. It does get easier. Even now 2 months later I have days like today where I feel really low about it, but they are getting less and less. ❤️

@MrsAW2018 so sorry for the bfn. Have the doctors got a plan of action for you? Perhaps they will put you on clomid? I suspect I have PCOS too but have not been diagnosed with it. Have you tried Soy Isoflavones? They were successful for me, but I have heard they are particularly helpful to PCOS sufferers, also inositol? X

@Crossfitgirl lovely to hear from you and so glad you and bump are doing well! I can't believe you're so far along now! Very exciting!

@Tropicana1 I feel for you as it is hard for him but also so frustrating for you! I have been there before. We started doing oily massages before to get him in the mood. Which really helped. Also music does help too. Or maybe more foreplay? It did get better with my DH though, he got used to it I think! Although it has happened once since but that was when we had friends staying in the next door room and it was the third day in a row, so I can't blame him really. I hope you manage to sort it out, maybe also have a chat with him about it all and see if there is anything else about it that is making him anxious?

FlapJackered · 21/04/2019 07:47

@MrsEG 😂😂😂 so true!!
(I love kimmy!)

BostonFern · 21/04/2019 08:26

Congratulations @AysLon!

Fivebyfive2 · 21/04/2019 08:29

@MrsEG, that is bang on! How did you get on at your niece's birthday? Hope you at least got a good slab of cake?! Xx

@flapjackered, sorry to hear you're having a crap time of it. Try not to be so hard on yourself though, you've been through alot this year already so it's absolutely normal to need time for the body to adjust. Totally get what you mean about taking a break though. Treat yourself for Easter and see how you feel. Xxx

We had a nice time last night, had a lovely meal and a laugh. Were both too full to dtd after but was just great to have a fun night to be honest! I think I might ditch opks for the next 2 cycles and just roughly track on fertility friend, to keep it less pressured. We go away mid June, so if nothing has happened by the time we're back, we can step it up!!

Anyone doing anything nice today for Easter? We're popping to my parents for a bit. My mum keeps saying the house feels empty because my bro and his gf are on holiday, bless her! When they move out I'll have to get her a cat or something... Although hopefully by then, she can help look after my baby 😛

Crossfitgirl · 21/04/2019 08:40

@flapjackered it has flown. Sorry to hear you're feeling crap, but maybe a break completely is what you need. Will May mark a year for you? I think especially given the MC they should agree to refer you on, and I'd stamp my feet until they do. Put a bit of pressure on them and don't let them. Fob you off or make you try a bit longer, just argue your concerns till they listen. Hope you have a relaxing Bank Holiday and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts xxx

MrsEG · 21/04/2019 08:54

@FlapJackered I love Kimmy too!! Only started watching in Jan so had a proper binge! Sorry to hear you’re feeling crappy. My MMC was in January and we are only just trying again now (well technically not til next week!) and the break really, really did me good. I wasn’t nearly ready before now and was at war with my body. Definitely speak to your Doctor too, for a referral for sure but also any support - I was offered 6 weeks of counselling and it was so good.

@Fivebyfive2 It was fine! There were 5 babies there and I was dreading it a bit but it was actually fine, they were all just playing in a ball pit and splashing away in a paddling pool while their mothers frantically watched over them, and the rest of us just drank wine and ate cake - I suppose I should make the most of this while we still can :) Glad to hear you and DH had such a nice night last night, makes all the difference in the long run and you’re still in it to win it this month!!

MrsAW2018 · 21/04/2019 09:59

@FlapJackered thanks hun. No, no plan in place yet - won't even be able to go to the doctors about it until September even though we've been trying since June as we said we were waited until September to try for health reasons but we were too impatient lol and it just seemed right in June. I expect I'll have to lose quite a bit of weight to be put on clomid tbh which is frustrating but maybe metformin might help (I think they prescribe it for people with PCOS if they're struggling to conceive). But I am tempted with the soy isoflavones too for next month maybe... but... we did both see something on an IC this morning which came up in the time frame. Not sure whether it's an evap or not though. I've got 1 more FRER to do before I need to order some more and I'm not sure whether to do it now or not😫 x

Fivebyfive2 · 21/04/2019 10:09

@MrsAW2018, could you stand to hold off and try the frer tomorrow morning?? I'll keep everything crossed for you!!

Well, the tww starts today for me, so it's time for distractions! Work, baking, reading, line of duty, game of thrones... Anything really!

OP posts:
Jessikka · 21/04/2019 10:50

@Fivebyfive2 I love call of duty! though I must say from years of personal experience it's a police station... not a military camp.

The standing to attention against the wall and the "as you were" drives me nuts 😳

But I love it!

starkid · 21/04/2019 10:52

I stupidly peed on an internet cheapie this morning (11dpo) which was a BFN Sad. Due tomorrow...

MrsEG · 21/04/2019 10:57

@MrsAW2018 When I got my BFP at Christmas it was a stark BFN at 12DPO and light BFP 13DPO. Became solid BFP at 15DPO. Implantation happens between 9-12 DPO so testing early can be very confusing. It’s why I always tell people to try their best to wait, sit on your hands, hide your tests if you have to! Give it a day or so and test again and I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you x

FlapJackered · 21/04/2019 11:22

@MrsAW2018 I didn't realise you were only 11dpo! There is definitely time for a bfp! As mrseg said I also got a bfn on 12dpo on a frer and only got a positive at 13dpo. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@MrsEG that's so good you were offered counselling, I went to my doctor as I was feeling so low after the mc and asked if they could refer me for counselling and she was completely clueless and told me they couldn't and that I should google local counsellors, it did make me feel quite alone at the time. 🙁 it's a real gamble with doctors and getting a good one.
I think I need to be seeing a specialist soon, it has just been so long since we started trying and I am finding it so hard seeing all my friends get pregnant and I just sometimes feel like it is never going to happen. Sorry for the rant!

Thanks @Fivebyfive2 I think you've got the right idea trying to relax and enjoy life for a bit. It's just so hard to take a break when it's been so long ttc.

Thanks @Crossfitgirl Sadly Feb was a year for me so well over the hump now and feeling it! It is almost 2 years since the doctors think we have been trying, so hopefully they will refer us to a fertility clinic but I am a bit worried they will say my MC means they wont refer me. I will find out on 1st May anyway. If not I think we will just start throwing money at it and go private. 😬

Tropicana1 · 21/04/2019 11:39

@FlapJackered sorry you're feeling down, you've got to do whatever you feel is what you need and if that's just taking a few months off like you say to not focus on TTC then you should do it! Sorry your doctors been so rubbish too, I agree it's a bit of a lucky dip when it comes to them! Had a good chat with DH yesterday and he said he's just feeling like he has a really low libido atm in general, like normally thinks about having sex a lot but isn't feeling it in general at the moment. I don't really know what I can do to help bump it up, we've been together 8 years and mine gas gone down a few times so I do know how he feels. Can't help but think that TTC must be playing a bit of a role in it though. I'm just going to count this month off as a write off, only DTD twice in my fertile period and the last time was 2 days before ov day so I highly doubt I'll get pregnant this month. Just going to not initiate for the next 3-4 weeks till my next fertile time and leave it to DH in that time if and when he feels like sex! Take the pressure off a bit.

Hope you girls are having more success than me!

Jessikka · 21/04/2019 12:14

@Fivebyfive2 I definitely meant LINE of Duty... not the video game call of duty lol

cupcakesandglitter · 21/04/2019 12:26

@Fivebyfive2 I LOVE line of duty!!!! Currently watching season 2 on Netflix, it's soooo addictive!! Xx

@FlapJackered sorry you're not feeling great 😩 I'd go back and push them to refer you to counselling, if I remember correctly they refer you to healthy minds first? Don't let them fob you off xxx

@Tropicana1 I think TTC can definitely cause pressure on the guy's side, it's really hard for it to not just become a baby making thing - maybe don't tell him when you're fertile but make extra effort (lingerie etc) to get him in the mood? A few of us just ended up going naked in front of them, it worked more often than not 😂 x

So I'm CD18 and the sore nips are back. Last time I had them was when I had my BFP... trying not to look into it but can't help but feel hopeful? X

Dollywilde · 21/04/2019 12:29

@Tropicana1, sympathies. My libido tends to be higher than DHs so I’m a bit concerned about this if we didn’t catch this month - our honeymoon meant we were both relaxed during fertile time this cycle but I’m slightly concerned that he’ll feel pressured next month on. May have to follow your lead in terms of being more relaxed.

I’ve managed to pick up a cold so wasting this lovely day inside. Slept really badly last night but can’t help but interpret cold symptoms as pregnancy symptoms! I can already tell I’m going to drive myself mad with this...

Bit peeved as it’s the last weekend of my 20s too (30 on Weds Confused) but I’m sick and skint from our holiday so it’s going to be a quiet one! We have a nice family lunch tomorrow though and I’m out on my actual birthday. Keep thinking I may as well make the most of it as I’m 8 dpo today so planning on testing next weekend if AF doesn’t show before!

Dollywilde · 21/04/2019 12:31

Ooh @cupcakesandglitter - fingers crossed! Irritatingly, sore boobs are a usual AF symptom for me since coming off the pill in 2017 (was utterly convinced I was pregnant first few months despite not trying - that was nerve wracking) so I can’t use them to symptom spot :( sounds promising for you tho!

ValidUser · 21/04/2019 13:19

@MrsEG that's brilliant! They alive, damnit!

I treated myself to an Ava bracelet. Makes me feel like I'm doing something!

@Crossfitgirl did I hear you were getting a little girl? ❤️

KatBeCool · 21/04/2019 13:26

@FlapJackered my opks are doing the exact same thing, super light when I've been expecting them to darken by now. However, I think last cycle exact same thing happened and it went from light to positive very rapidly. Since I'm on Clomid and soy is supposed to do a similar thing, maybe it's normal?

Fivebyfive2 · 21/04/2019 13:47

@cupcakesandglitter, keeping everything crossed for you... Hips don't lie!! I'll miss line of duty tonight because we are out, but will catch up tomorrow. I'm loving it!! @Jessikka, ha ha I knew you meant Line, but it did make me chuckle 🙂

@Dollywilde, any plans for your 30th next week? Xx

@Tropicana1, it is like a minefield sometimes isn't it?! I always try to make an effort outside of fw, so my dh doesn't think I'm 'using' him, but then have gotten annoyed if he then doesn't initiate during fw... Taking ttc out of the equation, about twice a week was OK for us both, so trying to do every other day is a bit of a jump!! Just try a few different things (schedule, not saying when it's The Day, getting naked!) and see what works for you two. Xx

I'm already really hoping we've done enough to get lucky this cycle although am fully expecting af in two weeks!! We are in Wales on 2nd May for two nights, so would be just our look at af appears while we're having our time away!!

OP posts:
Lola871 · 21/04/2019 16:02

Currently 4-5 dpo, haven't thought much about it yet as have been working every day for over two weeks!! Nothing like keeping busy to distract you from TTC 😴

Will be trying not to think too much about it until next weekend at the earliest, due on the following Tues or Weds so will see how things go! Happy Easter everyone 🐰🐣🐤🍫🍫🍫

Crossfitgirl · 21/04/2019 16:10

@flapjackered if it's any help, you remember we got referred to the fertility clinic? When I got pregnant, our appointment was still about a month away, and the doctor told me not to cancel the appointment straight away, as if I MC'd they may still look at why it happened and consider progesterone etc.
I think with your irregular cycles that in itself is a good enough reason, as they referred me after 6 months purely based on short luteal phase and past history of cysts / surgery to remove cyst. I'd tell them you suspect PCOS and tell them why, lay on how long you've been trying, and just lay it on thick and stomp your feet and refuse to leave until they do something.it's really not a big deal to them to make a referral and do a few investigations. Would DH come with you too do you think? Xx

@validuser you did 😊 we found out at our 16 week scan and had it confirmed again at 20 weeks so hopefully very slim chance of them being wrong! Hehe x

1990shopefulftm · 21/04/2019 16:39

hello ladies, i'm 24 and got AF this morning so start of cycle 1 of TTC for me.
AF was 3 days early, and apart from a couple of bad months for my health last year, my cycles have been in a very regular pattern for three years since coming off cerazete so hoping it's just a one off shorter cycle for me.

MrsEG · 21/04/2019 18:34

@FlapJackered My GP was brilliant, they had to diagnose anxiety first but then I had the referral and it was so worth it. I’d even say maybe try and have a few private sessions if your GP won’t refer as I found it so beneficial.

@cupcakesandglitter No reason at all why you can’t feel hopeful - I had burning nipples before my BFP too although much later, about 9DPO. Keeping mum fx for you!

@ValidUser I’m in my first week of using my Ava bracelet but enjoying it so far! I think I’ll ovulate a week tomorrow so testing with OPKs also this week to see if the data matches up with the bracelet!

@1990shopefulftm I find I have the odd random cycle, I wouldn’t worry too much if it’s just a one off. Welcome to the TTC journey!

Hope you have all had a lovely Easter - may all our eggs be fertilised x

1990shopefulftm · 21/04/2019 18:45

@MrsEG Thank you:) it's only happened when i've been ill before but won't let it worry me too much.
