@KatBeCool - that's interesting the difference between oral and not-oral progesterone. Might be a digestive issue... Would you be able to switch back?
Yeah, am hoping for a small, easily fixed problem to come back from the scans/tests, so can get on the saddle knowing we're in full working order 😂 I know it's likely to be blockage from scarring, but you never know I guess. Sorry you are still none the wiser your end Sad

FlapJackered · 03/05/2019 13:23

Doctor just called and she had double checked the criteria with the powers that be and she says the miscarriage doesn't count after all!!!!! So I have been referred to a specialist! So SO happy!! I was really not looking forward to paying for private and this will save us ££££!

@Bettythecat @Marleym28 I am sure it is just the progesterone that is causing the nausea and as I am using progesterone cream too this cycle that would make sense!

@KatBeCool fingers crossed it's just a blip temp. The waiting is no fun but try not to worry about it until af turns up. X

MrsR16 · 03/05/2019 13:45

@MrsH497 yep? You're 5 weeks pregnant today 😊 soon flies by! Xx

@FlapJackered that's amazing news! 🎉🎉 xx

Dollywilde · 03/05/2019 13:50

Great news @flapjackered, must be a big weight off your mind!

Just checking in, not much to report here but gearing up for Cycle 2. AF finished yesterday so looking forward to feeling like I can do something! OPKs arriving on Tuesday (cd10) so will start using them then. Fully expect I will have stupid questions in the first month so hopefully I can badger you guys about them Grin

@bettythecat what bad timing for ov! We have guests when I’m due to ov this month, I’ve already told DH he’ll just have to hand out earplugs when they arrive Wink

cherryblossomgin · 03/05/2019 13:58

@FlapJackered @orangeloo the doctors are pretty confident it will work but I am not letting myself get my hopes up. Grin

Bettythecat · 03/05/2019 14:23

@FlapJackered that's such good news!! Common sense has prevailed!! Xx

LokiCat · 03/05/2019 14:26

@FlapJackered that's great news! Glad she rechecked and got back to you! Xx

MrsEG · 03/05/2019 14:30

@FlapJackered Yay Great news!! I was told the same, so I’ll have to go back in and argue my case!! I was told I’d also be back to square one and I’d only be referred to the recurrent miscarriage unit if it happened again (please lord no) for tests. So pleased for you - are they cracking on with the tests right away?

@LokiCat Yeah we would definitely get an early scan just with our history. I think it’s really personal to the individual though as some women are filled with fear when it comes to scans!

@MrsH497 The midwife will date your pregnancy at the moment from the first day of your last period. You get your ‘actual’ due date at the dating scan at 12 weeks :)

Fivebyfive2 · 03/05/2019 14:56

@flapjackered, that is great news, so glad they saw sense and aren't makiyou wait / forcing you to go private. Let us know how it all goes. Do you think they'll get cracking right away? Xx

My bro just called, he passed his driving test! So proud of him! I almost spilled the beans as we were both getting excited, but resigned myself in!

starkid · 03/05/2019 16:36

@FlapJackered- so pleased for you, definitely sounded mad to start at 2 year wait again! Fx for you with your future tests, seems like we'll be going through it all around the same time :) xx

KatBeCool · 03/05/2019 16:44

@cherryblossomgin gonadotropin is pretty effective, it's rare that it doesn't work.

@starkid it's the same capsule, you can use it differently. And each way has side effects for me.

@FlapJackered that's great news! If all tests are good, Clomid is the first thing they do.

So I saw a tiniest amount of brown blood this morning, not even when I wiped, saw it "floating" before I flushed. I'm so hoping it's not AF spotting. I'm checking every ten minutes but nothing since.

Marleym28 · 03/05/2019 17:08

@KatBeCool fingers crossed it's a good spotting.

I keep checking the tissue every time I see hoping for a teeny few specs but nothing 🙈

@FlapJackered that's good news!

FlapJackered · 03/05/2019 21:18

Thanks everyone, I feel like a weight has been lifted!
The doc rang me while I was in an office and I had to answer the call in a large busy corridor and she asked what tests DH had had so I was trying to whisper 'sperm analysis' as quietly as I could several times 😂 I am sure people heard me 🙈.

@MrsEG she said I would get a referral letter with an appointment through the post, fingers crossed it is soon!
That is so unfair, I would definitely question it with your Gp, mention you have a friend who is in the same position that has been referred.

@KatBeCool fingers crossed it will hold off!
Yes I think Clomid might work well for me as it seems to be the Soy is like a weaker version?

KatBeCool · 03/05/2019 21:28

@FlapJackered soy isoflavones simulate the ovaries similar to Clomid but not as effective. I'm obviously hoping you get preggo this cycle, but if not, since you're getting the referral, I wouldn't take soy again next cycle. This kind of stuff you can take no more than six cycles, and usually only three-hour before they switch to gonadotropin.

Tropicana1 · 04/05/2019 03:52

Had quite a time of it ladies - turns out the flu like symptoms were the start of something serious. Rushed to hospital today with severe abdominal pain, had to have emergency surgery. They were worried it was an ectopic but turns out I have severe endometriosis, she's amazed I manage to function when I'm on my period. I had abscesses cysts on both my ovaries which had ruptured and caused pus in the abdomen and peritonitis. She thought I might have to lose an ovary but I've managed to keep them both. She's amazed I got pregnant naturally and fast, and said if I'd have been seen pre pregnancy they would have said my chances were slim. She's advised an early scan at 6 weeks to make sure the baby is doing ok post op and likely to stay in hospital a few more days! Hoping the pregnancy survives the ordeal and is ok.

MrsH497 · 04/05/2019 04:59

OMG @Tropicana1 hope you are ok!! X

MrsEG · 04/05/2019 05:56

Oh @Tropicana1 you poor thing! How are you feeling this morning? What a terrifying thing to have to go through. I’m so glad you haven’t had to lose an ovary. Keeping everything crossed for a speedy recovery, and that your little bean stays stuck in there xx Flowers

starkid · 04/05/2019 06:58

@Tropicana1 oh darling you poor thing, how scary for you!! FX for your little bean, and for a speedy recovery from your op. Good news your ovaries are both saved, but yes that must have been quite the scare! To think all that was happening inside you and you had no clue :(

FlapJackered · 04/05/2019 07:30

@Tropicana1 Oh my god you poor thing! I had the same thing happen with suspected ectopic and emergency surgery and it was a really scary time on its own without the endo on top. That is great that they managed to save the ovaries as I have heard that is often not the case, and also amazing that you are pregnant despite it all. Will keep fingers crossed that the baby holds on tight but there is no reason to think it won't. ❤️

McHelenz · 04/05/2019 07:48

@tropicana1 what an ordeal!! And what a miracle your sticky bean is x

Fivebyfive2 · 04/05/2019 07:53

@Tropicana1, oh my god! I hope you are OK and that the hospital are looking after you. It is great that they didn't need to remove the ovaries. I will keep absolutely everything crossed for you and you're little bean. Xxx

Lottiepink · 04/05/2019 08:10

@Tropicana1 thinking of you, that it so awful. Thank god your ok and hopefully you will recover very soon. Fingers crossed all will be well with the pregnancy x

LokiCat · 04/05/2019 08:14

@Tropicana1 oh bless you, I hope you're okay! That must have been terrifying! I'm glad they didn't have to remove an ovary. Wishing you a very speedy recovery and I hope the early scan goes well ❤️ xxx

KatBeCool · 04/05/2019 09:41

@Tropicana1 what an adventure, glad you're ok now. Good thing they don't just chop off ovaries and try their best to save them.

Dollywilde · 04/05/2019 09:53

Oh gosh @tropicana1, that sounds so stressful. Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery and fx’d for the pregnancy x
