Hi everyone 👋

Can't see a May bus, so thought I'd start one up!

A little bit about me...

TTC: #1
Age: 28
Cycle: 5
CD: 5
AF/BFP due: 10th May

This cycle I'm making a real effort to take my pre-conception vitamins EVERY day and going to use Pre-seed this cycle too.

Come on in and share your stories, symptoms and if needed, vent to your heart's content...

That's definitely my personality type i just had no idea people did OPKs so regularly! I've just been tracking my cycle on Flo. I suffer from anxiety so i spend a lot of time working against that side of my personality especially as I think that can have a negative impact on ttc. The only person i ever knew to use them before i started reading these boards was someone whose cycles didn't go back to being regular after being on the pill! Like i said, i'm not against them i just think i will wait until about 6 months in with no luck before turning to them!

Had a really difficult time last month, was absolutely convinced I was heading for a BFP. Decided to try OPKs this month as I'm only tracking using flo and I'm starting to think it's not as accurate as I though.

I just bough some cheap ovulation strip from super drug ! I am 11 cd so will see if I can figure out exactly when I ovulate ! what time of the day do you guys test ? How many times a day ? Hope you all have a nice Easter week end

@Renault5 I think first thing in the morning is key but you can also test in the evening so you make sure you don't miss your window.

Also if I test in the morning I need to go to work so won't be able to DTD until that evening. So I'm gonna test both times of day so I know before bed if the line is stronger

@mumofbun I think 6 months sounds sensible. I’ve been using them for 2/3 cycles and nothing so far so I wouldn’t say there’s a massive positive (at least not for me!)

Thanks ladies I've not had notifications today for some reason.

Come home and OH has said he's requested a leave of absence from his course and has an appointment with the doctor about his mood. I'm scared for what that might mean for this but feel im being selfish if I question it. 😔.

Oh @Savvysaz noooo 😞 big hugs! I was really rooting for you. When is your BFP/AF due in May?

Really need to go back and re-read the whole thread I think! I feel like I need to create an excel spreadsheet to keep track of everyone's dates, although that sounds rather crazy written down.

@McHelenz Absolutely not. My OH suffers from elevated levels of anxiety and mood swings. Often they are worse when he doesn't share with me. As a result I often have to ask several times what is going on. Once he's shared, he feels better.

@birdshavewings congratulations !! It does look like a BFP and reading your last post you are already a few days late for your AF and sore boobs !!!!

Hi ladies, can I join the May bus please?

Cycle: 2
TTC: Number 3 (I lost twins in January at 19 weeks)
AF due: Any minute now
Ovulation date: somewhere around 6th May

Ovulation is due either tomorrow or Thursday, had a bit of a falling out with the DH yesterday, but back to DTD today. I said to him I wanted to tell him when the most fertile days were, but he is feeling the pressure!

@NLouise123 we've had a chat. This is one reason why he's not wanted to DTD. We've had a nice evening though and hopefully we'll make it through. We've done it before xx

@McHelenz I have no doubt you will. Keep going and be honest with each other.

@MrsC89 snap! Due to ovulate Thursday and had a bit of a falling out with DH this evening. We never argue and it was over something really trivial. I'm wondering if it's the pressure of the FW!
Hopefully we'll kiss and makeup by tomorrow 😒

Ovulation: no idea! Different apps gave quite predicted different dates, so I'm a bit lost as to what my fertile window is. I assumed it was a very big window, to DH's delight.

I'm the same too @McHelenz - we only managed to DTD twice in my fertile week :( DH started feeling the pressure of knowing ov was close and then that was it, game over! Last time we managed to DTD was 2 days before ov so not feeling very hopeful, although that's not stopping me symptom spotting already 😂

@Squiff70 so sorry for your loss, losing your twins at 19 weeks must be so hard for you and your DH can't even imagine what you've been through and are going through! X

Thank you @Tropicana1. I don't think it has hit me yet. I don't know how I'm supposed to grieve for my two babies so I don't, if that makes sense? We start bereavement counselling in a few weeks so hopefully that'll stir up a load of emotions and have me working through things properly. TTC again is keeping me distracted from it all and to give me something (hopefuly) to look forward to and a reason to get up in the morning. Or not, as the case may be!

@Tittie Welcome. It's quite a small window really (I forget how small). I'd recommend you get some ovulation strips or even the Clearblue Advance where you get smiley faces when you're ovulating. It can help guide you on your most fertile days. Good luck!
