Hi everyone 👋

Can't see a May bus, so thought I'd start one up!

A little bit about me...

TTC: #1
Age: 28
Cycle: 5
CD: 5
AF/BFP due: 10th May

This cycle I'm making a real effort to take my pre-conception vitamins EVERY day and going to use Pre-seed this cycle too.

Come on in and share your stories, symptoms and if needed, vent to your heart's content... Grin

Aw sorry @KittenMittens1
It IS disappointing, it's a legitimate feeling to have. But try not to be overwhelmed by it. Have a day to wallow and then be positive about next month. Are you using OPK's?

KittenMittens1 · 30/04/2019 15:12

@mommato3 & @BowiesJumper

aw thanks guys, It feels a little better knowing I'm not the only one on the disappointment boat. Using OPKs well some cheap ones from amazon. Think its all in the mind with me, need to cheer up and look forward to trying in may.

Hopefully it will happen for us all in may! thanks for the support ladies. xx

Hi Ladies. New to Mumsnet so please be kind Wink

TTC: #2

Age: 30

Cycle: 1 (post Miscarriage last year)

Cycle Day: 9

AF/BFP Due: 22nd May

Slightly confused with dates as I had a laparoscopy on the 30th March for Severe Endometriosis. My first period post op was on the 22nd April. I know surgery can change cycle length ect so just being causal this month.

Took a digital OPK today and got a Flashing Smile and I am Cycle Day 9

Hi ladies,

AF finished two days ago so from tomorrow/Thursday I'm going to start using OPKs (internet cheapies which need using up before I splash out on a Clearblue Advance).

Wishing us all the very best of luck for conceiving in May!

BRING IT ON! Grin

mumofbun · 30/04/2019 17:24

@KittenMittens1

Sorry AF is here! Mine was a few days early 2 cycles ago and I’d convinced myself it was implantation bleeding until it can on fully and I was gutted! Hopefully the next cycle is yours!

MeganMama28 · 30/04/2019 18:38

@KittenMittens1 sorry to hear that. Also in the same boat AF came yesterday and I was really emotional all day. Had 3 glasses of wine that evening which helped a bit! Fingers crossed we'll be luckier this cycle 🤞🤞🤞

I've seen a lot of conflicting info online about whether to DTD every day around ovulation or every other day throughout the cycle (which sounds a bit exhausting for me tbf!) Any ideas on which is actually best and why?

Novella12 · 30/04/2019 19:00

@MeganMama28 I’m not sure which is best but we’re trying every day in FW this time, I’ve had 2 days of flashing smileys so far. I’m keeping my fingers tightly crossed and feeling much more positive than previous months. I think it just feels like we’re doing everything we can! (Fun, too 😂)

Louise190 · 30/04/2019 19:09

@Novella12 what system gives you flashing smileys? I'm just doing a bit of fact finding on ovulation trackers and I like the idea of smiley faces!!!

Louise190 · 30/04/2019 19:13

One using two different tracking apps and one tells me my predicted OD is tomorrow and the other says Thursday!! 😩 which is it?! This is so stressful!

tisonlymeagain · 30/04/2019 19:18

11dpo 2x BFN Sad Trying to remain hopeful but... just want AF to come now so I can gear up for another go

Novella12 · 30/04/2019 19:23

@louise190 they’re the clearblue digital ones. This is my first month using them and so far so good. I do have internet cheapies too but I think they mistimed my ovulation last month.

Squiff70 · 30/04/2019 19:24

@Louise190 It's the Clearblue Advanced which gives flashing and static smilies.

Louise190 · 30/04/2019 19:30

@Novella12 @Squiff70 that's not a cheap device, is it?

What are everyone's experiences with the Clearblue Advanced?

Squiff70 · 30/04/2019 19:38

@Louise190 it's currently £27.99 for 20 tests and the monitor on Amazon so no it's not cheap. It depends how much you want to spend really.

Louise190 · 30/04/2019 19:40

@Squiff70 oh I had it in my head it was over £100! So £27.99 is much better! 🙈 I just really hate having to wait and not knowing! TTC is torture!

Novella12 · 30/04/2019 19:52

@louise190 keep your eyes peeled though because I got mine half price - can’t remember where from now though. Maybe Superdrug?

MrsMck18 · 30/04/2019 20:08

What cycle day is everyone finding they are ovulating. I'm on CD 12 at the mo but still getting negatives on OPKs

tisonlymeagain · 30/04/2019 20:09

It was CD16 for me. Started to get very faint lines at about CD13 @MrsMck18

Renault5 · 30/04/2019 20:22

@MrsMck18 it was cd15 for me this month. Xx

JoanneT88 · 30/04/2019 20:29

I find the clearblue advance so easy to read that's why I use them. I always second guess or worry with strip test. Just one pee in the morning on CB and done for the day. Have a flashing smile on CD 9 which seems really early for me but will just go with it x

MeganMama28 · 30/04/2019 20:35

@Novella12 sounds like a good plan I think that's what we're going to do too! Although last cycle I found out we shouldn't use normal lube as it kills sperm so I think only the last few times (where we used preseed) counted! Hopefully this time will be more successful

@MrsMck18 Had a flashing smiley CD9-12 and a solid smiley CD13-14. I think I ovulated in the evening of CD13 because I had really intense cramping on one side that actually woke me up as I was dozing off!

Renault5 · 30/04/2019 20:36

Guys I just feel rely low today I am cd 4 and I know I have still time and I am not out yet but I just feel like is it gonna ever happen ? Am i gonna need ivf or something ?! I am so tired haha I just cannot find a way to cheer up ... sorry for not being positive today ...

Squiff70 · 30/04/2019 20:38

I ovulate around day 14.

@Renault5 I feel the same at the mo. I'm on CD 7 so going to start the OPKs tomorrow. Hopefully May will be THE month for all of us. Chin up!

tisonlymeagain · 30/04/2019 20:42

@Renault5 I feel you. I'm only on Cycle 1 and 11dpo and I already know that it's not happened this month. I feel really low about it all even though realistically I knew it wouldn't happen first time, especially given my age.

MeganMama28 · 30/04/2019 21:22

@Renault5 sorry you're having a crappy day. TTC is such a whirlwind of emotions - we all are bound to have low days so try not to be too hard on yourself. Fingers crossed for you that May is your lucky month 🤞
