Can't see a May bus, so thought I'd start one up!

A little bit about me...

TTC: #1
Age: 28
Cycle: 5
CD: 5
AF/BFP due: 10th May

This cycle I'm making a real effort to take my pre-conception vitamins EVERY day and going to use Pre-seed this cycle too.

Come on in and share your stories, symptoms and if needed, vent to your heart's content...

@Renault5 I think I'm just going to see how I feel in the morning. If I am stressed I'll do it, if I think I can go with out I will. Thanks everyone for being so welcoming xx

The tww feels so long. With my last pregnancy (ended with miscarraige at 6 weeks) I used a first response early detection which gave me a faint positive line. I then used a clearblue which said 'not pregnant'. It confused me. I waited another few days and then done another test which was positive. So just have an open mind and a few back up tests too.

I’m really behind with the thread and I’ll hopefully read up tomorrow but one thing - am I the only person here who has never peed on a stick?! It’s never occurred to me to do one if I’m not late!

I would have used the tests as a precaution because my cycles range from 22-28 days, so it's hard to know when I am late. Plus sometime the waiting gets to me

@dolryo5 wait a good while then test I'm due 5th May and tested yesterday on a FRER because I have zero patience and felt crap!!

I'm not hopeful this month anyway but it did knock the wind out my sails and like others have said here it's just a waste of an expensive test!

Morning! How is everyone getting on? I've still got very very mild cramping (more like twinges) every so often and I've woke up with a b*tch of a headache (although I do suffer from migraines) and I do feel a bit nauseous (but that could be due to the headache I guess) 🤷‍♀️
My uterus feels a bit heavy today and I have mild vaginal twinges. Nipples also feel a little tingly. I hate symptom spotting! 🤦‍♀️🥴🙈

Oh, and I feel absolutely exhausted. I went to bed yesterday afternoon for a nap. I felt so drained of energy. I'm already knackered today but then I have been up since 6am with dd!

Morning all. I think I am 2dpo today (ish) and feeling pretty calm tbh. I think I am relieved the pressure of dtd is off. DH doesnt know too much about the opks so all the pressure sits on me. I am already monitoring every twinge though. I have lower back pain which I am pretty sure is just a sore muscle 😂 but its hard not to overanalyse! I wouldn't even have implantation pains yet.

@Tamalama are you going to test again today? How old is your dd?

You may not hear from me in the next week or so, I'm off on my hols ✈️🏖 I'm 3dpo today so feeling incredibly thankful I have a week of distraction!

I'll be 12dpo the morning after I get back, so may do a test then...unless I get my usual PMS symptoms of course.

@helpasisterout I couldn't resist and did the test this morning it was negative. But I am going to remain positive. Maybe it's too early or just gives me chance to eat and exercise super healthy next month.

Tested with an OPK this morning. So I'm going to have to txt the DH to come home ASAP today.... hahahah

@dolryo5 i got pregnant first month of trying back in January after 8 years with the implant....it can happen. Sadly had a mc in March. This is first month trying again and im on what i think is cd18 and im getting a weird feeling like i had last time. although im doubtful if i could catch so quickly twice. Fingers crossed for you x

@Rubberyduck I'm only 6dpo so I know I shouldn't test it I think we all know what the temptation is like to test early 😂 I'm not due until on 6th May.

DD is 2.5 years old 😊

I used to be a POAS addict, but i stopped as I realized i never believed it anyway.. used to get a bfn and then would find arguments to ignore it (too early, pee not concentrated enough, not sensitive test) and to immediately test again.. i realized unless i got a definite bfp thatd always be the case, and given definite bfps are almost impossible that early in the cycle, the whole appeal of testing faded for me...
Also a friend who is a doctor told that statically most women will not have implanted before 9dpo, and most symptoms before that are most likely related to progesterone fluctuations which happens both when you are pregnant or not, reason why i try not to read too much into it, even though of course every woman is different.
For me, rationalizing the tww is the way to keep me sane as you can see 😂

@Melina81 The rational part of me knows exactly what you mean, unfortunately I'm an impatient person and that sometimes overrules my common sense! 😂🙈🤦‍♀️

Haven't really had a chance to get on here in the past couple of days so just trying to catch up - it's been a busy thread!

Welcome to all the new arrivals, only a couple more days till we are in May and hopefully the BFPs start rolling in!

@EC418 so sorry to hear about your loss. If you caught on the first cycle last time there's no reason to say it couldn't happen again so fx for you

I'm CD15 today, going to start DTD today every other day until positive OPK. Last month we started at CD10 but we're worn out by the time I ovulated on CD20 so it really took the fun out of it! I wish we had as much energy as you @tisonlymeagain!

@Tamalama haha yes, sometimes I'm the same, especially if i think I'm in with a chance.. :) i feel like this month was not my month so in no rush to test 😑

Boobs seem a little bigger today as well, they're usually like two fried eggs, so anything is an improvement 😂

8dpo today and all my "symptoms" of the last week seem to have gone. AF due on the 1st so not feeling that my BFP is going to happen this month, just waiting for AF now really so I can get on with next cycle :(

Morning all. In the annoying waiting period and am about 4dpo. Feel sick today, but it’s too early for that to mean anything! Hope I’m not coming down with anything.
Not testing until this time next week.

Have just started a thread as I had blood when I wiped earlier, have always been pretty regular but concerned a couple of my cycles have been a bit odd lately

9dpo today and my back and lady tummy are in agony today. Boobs still sore, skin is awful, I feel tired all the time and completely gone off booze. Trying to take that as a good sign but all my other symptoms are normal pre-AF. I'm going to test on Wednesday when I will be 12dpo.

@tisonlymeagain I'm testing on Wednesday too. Keeping everything crossed for you.
