Hi everyone 👋

Can't see a May bus, so thought I'd start one up!

A little bit about me...

TTC: #1
Age: 28
Cycle: 5
CD: 5
AF/BFP due: 10th May

This cycle I'm making a real effort to take my pre-conception vitamins EVERY day and going to use Pre-seed this cycle too.

Come on in and share your stories, symptoms and if needed, vent to your heart's content... Grin

@Melina81 let yourself be angry, I agree that everything is such lies. What you are taught at school, what your parents tell you and what happens in films....LIES!

I had a colleague say it to me too, but punching your colleague at work is generally frowned upon...and punching people in general for that matter 😅

How many dpo are you? May not necessarily be PMS symptoms 🧐

I have a question- is it safe to still have sex during tww? I don't want to put everything on hold for the next week or so. I'm guess I'm just overly cautious because of the mc in Jan.

Paddypaws91 · 27/04/2019 08:43

@Tamalama completely understand why you're being cautious. Most things you usually do are still completely safe during your TWW. Sex should be absolutely fine, I've found this link: www.avawomen.com/avaworld/avoid-during-implantation/

@Melina81 there is nothing worse then the it will happen when it happen or it will happen when it is a right time ?? !! They just don't get it do they ?! I had a termination at 15 weeks back in November and i am now so desperate to get pregnant. It has been 5 cycle we have been trying since the termination and I would of been due on the 10 th of May which is also when my af or BFP is due!;) it was my first pregnancy as well but I just don't talk about my family or friends anymore I just get on here and talk with you guys so I don't hear anyone saying :" just relax it will happen and it will happen ..." hahaha

Tamalama · 27/04/2019 08:49

Thanks for the link @Paddypaws91 much appreciated 😊 definitely lots of useful info there!

Melina81 · 27/04/2019 09:35

@Paddypaws91 ha ha ha yes, it is frowned upon where i work too.. but i felt better by telling her all about my wonderful weekend with bf, dinner out amazing sex and 2 full nights sleep when she is having no sleep at all as baby is teething (i know it was mean but i couldn't help myself lol)

Im currently 6dpo, and trying not to think about symptoms as every month i read too much into them..

Melina81 · 27/04/2019 09:46

@Renault5 thank you for the support, and really sorry for your loss, it must be a heart breaking thing to go through.. it is hard to stay positive as much as we know its the best way to go, it is just too important to not build up expectations about..

I was told by my doctor it is "almost impossible " i get pregnant without going down the IVF route, which im not ready to do at the moment, so i get a bit frustrated with myself for building up expectations when i know statistically I'm way more likely not to get pregnant than to get a bfp.
But cant help always have a little hope :)

Wishing that 10th of may is your time x

Melina81 · 27/04/2019 09:47

@Tamalama fx for us all :)

Tamalama · 27/04/2019 09:50

Oh ladies, I just did something really silly. Even though I'm only 5dpo I took a test, which obviously came back as a bfn 🤦‍♀️ it was a cheap test which I guess doesn't make me feel so bad at having a wasted test, but seriously I need to reign this in!

tisonlymeagain · 27/04/2019 10:12

Don't worry @Tamalama we've all been there Blush

Renault5 · 27/04/2019 10:44

@Melina81 thanks for your kind message!
We definitely need to stay positive and I am so admirative of your positivity ! I send you a lot of good vibes to you.

I think it is very frustrating sometimes and we need to remind ourself that it is an exciting time of our life's even if it is in difficult times.

How long have you been ttc if I can ask ?!

MeganMama28 · 27/04/2019 11:07

Feeling so much better knowing that lots of you feel the same - I don't think my friends really understand and give a me a funny look when I express nerves etc. Great that we can all vent on here where we can all relate ❤️

@Paddypaws91 hahaa love that! Yes I don't think it'd go down too well as tempting as it is! Thanks for the link that's super helpful. I must admit I've been avoiding DTD during the 2WW as I was worried. OH was a bit put out after doing it back to back during ovulation and then a dry spell of nothing 😂 I gave in this morning after read that so he'll be greatful for that link too!

@Tamalama I have been close to do it from when I was about 2dpo!! it's really hard to resist but don't worry it's only human to go with urges!

@Renault5 I really like how you've worded that I'm going to try to keep reminding myself of that when I'm having a wobbly moment x

MeganMama28 · 27/04/2019 11:08

grateful**
couldn't resist correcting myself there hahaa

helpasisterout · 27/04/2019 11:20

@Tamalama it's so hard but going to resist and try not too worry about it - this nerves is doing nothing for my diet... burying my anxiety in biscuits🐽

Melina81 · 27/04/2019 11:25

@Renault5 thanks, i have my positive moments and then some moments where i get frustrated...
Ive been off contraception for 6 months, but started to actually try 2 months ago (3rd month now), although last month bf was sick and i totally missed fertile window so not sure if that counts.
I have been diagnosed with some hormonal problems and have tortuous tubes, which all add up to a really difficult task for conception :/

Michellebops · 27/04/2019 16:14

Can I ask a question?

I'm on cd 22 (8dpo), I started opks at cd10 and got my static smiley on cd12. Dtd 11, 12 and 13.

I presumed I ov on cd14. I was busy over the couple of days and didn't really take not of the ewcm.

Fast forward to yesterday and today I felt really "wet" and when going to wipe there is lots of cm, all clear, possibly sticky but not gunky if that makes sense.

I'm refusing to do a test so early but I thought I would check with an opk in case I didn't ovulate last week and somehow out of sync and the opk 2 lines came up instantly, the control line being slightly darker. Surely if I did ovulate then the opk would be faint or clear?

Confused indeed 🙈

mylittlebunny · 27/04/2019 21:20

So today the DH is away tonight with his friends and sitting over. He will be back tomorrow after lunchtime probably worse for wear. I noticed EW CM earlier today so done an extra OPK....

Positive..... typical

Louise190 · 27/04/2019 21:46

Evening! Jumping on the bus! 🚌

Here's my info..

TTC: #1
Age: 28
Cycle: 2
CD: 8
Due to ovulate: CD13
AF/BFP due: 16th May

First day of my fertile window today so a busy few days ahead! And then the period of TORTURE 😩🤞🏻

Good luck to all! X

Teaonthebedsheets · 27/04/2019 21:55

Evening all

TTC: #2
Age: 30
Cycle: 3
CD: 16
Period due: 11th May

Two week wait starts today... tedious.

BowiesJumper · 27/04/2019 22:35

@michellebops when is your period due? If it’s soon, I’d do a pregnancy test. OPK’s can sometimes show as positive if you’re pregnant.

dolryo5 · 27/04/2019 22:44

Hi everyone,

Can I jump on the bus please?

TTC (trying to conceive) : 1
Cycle : 1
Age : 28
CD (cycle day) : 23
Af/BFP (big fat positive) : 3rd May

Currently in ttw and I think I am experiencing a few symptoms. Brought some early detection tests to do tomorrow morning but should I wait?

MrsMck18 · 27/04/2019 22:46

@Louise190 I think we are a day apart. Af is due on the 17th May!

Fingers crossed for us. Are you trying everyday or doing every other day?

mylittlebunny · 27/04/2019 22:47

@dolryo5 If you have got the first response pregnancy tests they will probably give you a pregnancy reading. How long is your cycles usually?

Welcome to all those new people.

dolryo5 · 27/04/2019 22:55

@mylittlebunny I have got the Clearblue early detection ones. I feel like I’m being stupid thinking I would be lucky enough to get pregnant on our first cycle TTC but I know my body and it doesn’t feel right.
It’s usually 28 days xx

Renault5 · 27/04/2019 22:56

@dolryo5 welcome everyone
I think I would wait I know it is hard but if the test is negative it will stress you out as it might be that it is just too early ! I know it is hard and every month I ended up doing a test as well before af was due but this month I am gonna try not too ! I have not bough any pregnancy test and won't do it until my af is late !!! But that is just me if it is stressing you more not to know then I guess do the test 😉
