Hi everyone 👋

Can't see a May bus, so thought I'd start one up!

A little bit about me...

TTC: #1
Age: 28
Cycle: 5
CD: 5
AF/BFP due: 10th May

This cycle I'm making a real effort to take my pre-conception vitamins EVERY day and going to use Pre-seed this cycle too.

Come on in and share your stories, symptoms and if needed, vent to your heart's content...

We dtt on the Friday and Saturday, had a day off on Sunday and ddt again on Monday which was ovulation day, so fingers crossed 🤞
I'll probably test at 9dpo, just because I'm impatient! 😂

When is everyone else going to do their tests?

I dont know yet I want to wait 🙈 see how I feel next week! probably the earliest possible

@Tamalama planning on doing doing mine on the Thursday next week ,I have a wedding to attend so I'll know if I can drink or not , will be 10dpo then . Am already dreading the "when are you going to have a baby questions " From family and friends, even though we only got married last August 😫

Ha @Paddypaws91 we already have kids, four between us but this would be our first together.

I POAS this morning 7dpo what was I expecting? Needed to get it out of my system. It was just an Internet cheapy though. I'll do a FRER on Monday I think when I'm 10dpo

@Tamalama Planning to do mine next Wednesday when AF would've been due. However I'm currently 10dpo and finding it really hard to resist especially as I have my cheapo amazon ones waiting for me in the drawer!

Also tempted to buy FRER this weekend but actually feeling incredibly nervous over the last couple of days about the result. I promised myself I wouldn't get my hopes up as its our first cycle trying but I definitely think I have 😟

VERY hard not to get your hopes up. We've just had our first cycle and I was initially crushed by the BFNs but glad when my period came as it means a new cycle and we can try again. Also just had two glasses of bucks fizz to drown our sorrows, lol.

Good luck to those of you doing tests in the next few days! I so hope we ALL get the result we so badly want in May x

Ladies I have an opk question. So I’m usually fairly regular cycle wise - 29/30 days. I used clear blue opk last month to pinpoint ovulation, it showed me ovulating on CD 15. However AF came early meaning I only had a 25 day cycle. The clearblue instructions say to start testing on a specific cycle day for your cycle length. Do I stick with 29/30 days in length even though this month was shorter? Worried I’ll miss ovulation. My Ava Bracelet hasn’t even shipped yet let alone arrived 😕

@Paddypaws91 oh lovely you weren't insensitive! I applaud your effort for dtd 😂😂 I'm on cd 10 now of a 29-34 day cycle! A while to go yet. My night shifts fall on my fertile time typically..... hopefully with temping and opks this month I should be able to time it better... which reminds me I'm on a sleep in at work and forgot my thermometer!!!
Also....bloody men!!!!.....but maybe we need to do the making up part😉

It's deffo hard not to get your hopes up. 7 years ago we fell first time with DS and this time we are on cycle four. Circumstances are a little different so we prepared ourselves for it taking longer but we still get our hopes up each cycle xx

@MeganMama28 I totally understand your anxiety, I'm exactly the same and I'm only 5dpo! I've already got my Rapid Response tests in my drawer! Bought buy one pack and got a second pack half price, so I have 4 tests sat there waiting! 😂😂😂

Since yesterday evening I've had tummy cramps off and on and before bedtime I had weird sort of fluttery feelings in my tummy.
I've woken up this morning feeling a tad nauseous and left boob is a bit tingly...

I've noticed some of you talking about testing x days after ovulation, rather than x days before your period is due. Is this because they simplify the test instructions as they assume we don't know the exact date of ovulation? Or am I overthinking it all 😂 I don't remember the TWW feeling this long last time.

Hi ladies. Hope you are all very well. Can I join please? My af decided to show up a few days early at cd26 yesterday No idea what date I'll be due next af then as I am usually 28 days at the very earliest! This ones thrown me that's for sure.

No opks or temping for us as it stresses us both out. We have tried it in the past and it did nothing for us anyway. I just wanted to use them to know I was actually ovulating in the first place after coming off the mini pill.

Yeah @Tittie I think most dont know when OV is but for me, I say I'll test xdpo because I am already counting that way if you know what I mean

Hi @Tittie I count that way too because I know the exact date I ovulated and that's the way I've always tracked it, but I do not remember the tww being this bad! I think maybe I'm just impatient because of our loss in January. I read online that the earliest some people implant is at 5dpo so I'm like right well maybe that will be me, which is why I have tests at the ready, lol! 😂 stupidly optimistic I know... earliest I can test really is 6 days before I'm due on, so the earliest I could feasibly test is next Wednesday...

Anyone else fighting the urge to test? AF not due until 5th May but I'm desperate to do a test even thought I know it would be a negative result.. the brain is a funny thing! No symptoms to report feel completely as normal

This is fertile week and been dtd alot 🙈🤣 fingers crossed for us all 🤞🏻

I have quite niggly cramping at the moment, not in agony but enough to make me catch my breath every so often, and I've got some vaginal twinges. Also have some pulling sensations every so often along my c section scar line and I feel a bit sick. I had these symptoms back in December with my previous pregnancy. Oddly enough, I ovulated on a Monday then and had strong symptoms 5dpo which was a Saturday, and it's exactly the same this time. Ovulated on Monday and have stronger symptoms today. Maybe it's a good omen, lol!

@helpasisterout I think we've all been where you are at the moment. Whenever I feel the urge to test early, I always envision seeing a BFN and being subsequently annoyed with myself for "wasting" a test. I've got as far as taking it out the box and going to the bathroom and then putting it back. It's so hard though!!

Morning all, love all the activity on this thread.
I woke today feeling totally annoyed (probably PMS already), and really negative about the whole ttc thing:( Cursing my mom and all the romantic movies for making me believe this would be an easy thing to happen, and feeling like punching a friend in the face after hearing her say yesterday "don't know why you worry about it, its a natural thing, it will happen when it happens" (after she got pregnant on her first month trying).
So im basically just feeling like a bitter bitch

Morning @Melina81 some people can be so insensitive! Just remember though, you're not out until af rears her ugly headache. Fingers crossed for you that she doesn't arrive 😊
