Hi everyone 👋

Can't see a May bus, so thought I'd start one up!

A little bit about me...

TTC: #1
Age: 28
Cycle: 5
CD: 5
AF/BFP due: 10th May

This cycle I'm making a real effort to take my pre-conception vitamins EVERY day and going to use Pre-seed this cycle too.

Come on in and share your stories, symptoms and if needed, vent to your heart's content... Grin

May bus

Hi ladies, I’d like to jump on the bus please!

I’m 38, already have a DD (2.5 years old)
I fell pregnant end of December last year, but by the end of January it sadly resulted in a miscarriage after 3 weeks of bleeding. I was about 6 weeks gone.

We have been TTC this month, I know exactly when I ovulated because I got the two dark lines on the opk stick and it appeared exactly when my period tracker said it should, plus I had the usual CM and ovulation pains.

I’m now 4dpo and I’ve had ovary twinges (the side I ovulated from) the last couple of days, today is particularly bad (not excruciating but more of a tugging and swelling sensation and dull ache) and I have some slight tummy cramping. My lower back also hurts on the right side (where I ovulated from.)

When I wipe I have watery mucus, but any mucus on my pantyliner is sticky to the touch. When I had my mc I had 3 internal scans and all 3 scans showed everything is working as it should and my ovaries are completely healthy so there was no health reason as to the mc.

I had these symptoms when I fell pregnant in December, and they started at around the same time dpo. I set up a thread about this at the time but I found some of the mums to be unsupportive, insinuating it was all in my head, but I did end up getting my bfp!

I’m just wondering how everyone is feeling this month? If anyone has similar symptoms? I’m due on 6th May, so I know the earliest I can test is next Wednesday. I just hate the tww and symptom spotting!

BowiesJumper · 26/04/2019 12:31

Hi @Tamalama , so sorry to hear about your loss.

Everyone gets different symptoms, so I was absolutely not dismiss them. I think implantation takes place around day 5, so it could be that that you're feeling, who knows! Fingers crossed for you.

We're due on the same day, so we can wait/test together! Grin
That reminds me to get some cheapy pregnancy tests.

MrsMck18 · 26/04/2019 12:46

@Tamalama so sorry about your loss, but wishing you lots of luck for this month it's is sounding positive!

I only ovulate next week but on cycle day 8 so I'm gonna start DTD from tomorrow every other day. My flo app says ovulation is on Weds but will test with OPKs too.

I've got ages to wait before ovulation let alone the 17th May when AF arrived. Fingers crossed for us all :)

Paddypaws91 · 26/04/2019 12:55

Hi @Tamalama so sorry for your loss.

This is a safe space for any symptom spotting! I know people just want to give helpful advice, but in some posts I've seen on other threads, there is such a condescending tone. I don't see the point in trying to make others feel silly. Fortunately, we have had none of that on this thread, we're all here to support each other.

At the end of the day YOU know YOUR body, even if it is too early for implantation, doesn't mean you don't feel something in motion.

Keep us updated 😘

Hi @Tamalama 👋
So sorry for your loss and your experience on a past thread! I've been really hard on myself during the 2WW that I've realised I'm just really not in tune with my body (ie what I normally feel before af/this time of the month) which has been frustrating ☹️ It's great that you are! It's sad that others used that to be unsupportive and unkind. You've reminded me to be a bit more aware of checking CM during this time too - maybe that will help me to be a bit more aware of what's actually happening with my body. I'm trying to avoid testing before BFP/AF due but its hard isn't it?! X

Rubberyduck · 26/04/2019 15:07

Sorry to hear of your loss tamalama. Flowers for you.

I am hoping to wait until my AF date to test but who knows if I will make it. It depends how strongly I feel like its going to be a BFP...call me mad.

If I got positive OPK yesterday does it make me 1dpo? OPKs indicate ovulation is soon to happen right? So ovulation may be actually be today? So confused Confused

Melina81 · 26/04/2019 16:10

From what i read, even though ovulation kits will predict ovulation within 12h to 36h, most women will ovulate on the day after first positive (or second day positive/peak, depending how you track). Only way to confirm it for sure is by tracking your temp, which will shift once ovulation happened..

MeganMama28 · 26/04/2019 16:16

@Rubberyduck when I uploaded my positive OPK on my flo app it moved my ovulation to the next day. I'm guessing that would mean you're ovulating today.

I'm still a bit of a newbie to all this but that would be my best guess!

Rubberyduck · 26/04/2019 17:29

Ah thats helpful thanks. I've just done another OPK and its a really strong positive. No idea whats going on as its so late this month compared to usual but at least getting it wrong worked in my favor as we managed to dtd now as opposed to when I thought I was ovulating. We will see!

tisonlymeagain · 26/04/2019 17:30

My app moved OV to the next day after my positive OPK appeared.

Sleepyhead11 · 26/04/2019 17:35

@Tamalama
I'm so sorry, that must be gutting. I hope you get bfp this month. X

Tamalama · 26/04/2019 18:07

Hi ladies, thank you for all your lovely messages! I hope we all get bfp results this month 😊
@BowiesJumper yes, we can test at pretty much the same time! I don't have much willpower to hold out until af is due though! Only 4dpo and I've already got my tests in my drawer! 😂

Peachyx2505 · 26/04/2019 18:53

Loving that some of you are in the tww already won't be lying until all the bfps are rolling in 😍

Not feeling hopeful again this month due to flipping work (and dh is in my bad books🙈)

@Tamalama sorry for your loss lovely. Hope this is your lucky month xx

Paddypaws91 · 26/04/2019 19:09

@Peachyx2505 oh flippin' eck, never helps when DH is in the bad books 😂

My DH has been in the bad books too and work could not have been more stressful this week, can't believe we've DTD as much as we have!

I'm actually wondering now if we've DTD too much? A lot of people say every other day is better. Bloody knackered 😴😂

May bus

I also often wonder if I over share on here 😂🙄 TMI people, TMI!!

OP posts:
tisonlymeagain · 26/04/2019 19:10

@Paddypaws91 we did it 12 times in 14 days BlushShockGrin but that's not unusual for us Confused I've read everything there is to read and pretty much if there's no issues with sperm count every day is fine.

tisonlymeagain · 26/04/2019 19:11

I think maybe I'm an oversharer too 😂

Paddypaws91 · 26/04/2019 19:14

Sorry @Peachyx2505 I've read back on your post and I've been really insensitive banging on about how much we've DTD!! 🙄

Where abouts are you in your cycle? X

OP posts:
Paddypaws91 · 26/04/2019 19:16

@tisonlymeagain 😲👏🏼👏🏼 I wish I was like this all the time, I'm always so tired. Just tired 24/7. God help me when I do have kids 😜

OP posts:
Rubberyduck · 26/04/2019 19:22

Woah thats alot of dtd Grin 10 points for effort.

When will you all start testing? How many dpo?

Paddypaws91 · 26/04/2019 19:28

@Rubberyduck I go on holiday next week, so plan to test when I get back at 12dpo which will be 7th May. If I start getting my typical PMS symptoms I won't bother testing until AF is late.

What about you?
