I desperately need some TTC buddies. We've just started trying for no.3 and we haven't told anyone. I'm bursting but with no one to talk to. I realise this makes me sound like a total sap

Just scrolling through the ‘active’ pages and there are 3 threads about unplanned/accidental pregnancies.

Now I’m TTC I can’t get my head around how accidental pregnancies are so common, the odds are really stacked against you you’d be pretty unlucky to DTD once and get pregnant. I’m just jealous probably but the randomness of it all frustrates me so much.

@DNAshelicase I know exactly what you mean. I can't understand how people on these threads are trying so hard and there are people out there who just fall accidentally. It's all some sick joke, I'm sure!

Aww I'm sorry @DNAshelicase. I can test from Thursday 16th - I'm only 4DPO today.

I know what you mean about those threads. Another thing REALLY annoying me is people saying things like "I'm up the duff/preggo/preggers" etc. It just all sounds so immature at times.

@Louise190 The One Step Ultra Early tests TECHNICALLY should show as early as an FRER, but I don't know if they do (I'm not saying they don't though). That said, they're dirt cheap (about 12p each) so if like me you're a POAS addict then you're not throwing too much money away by testing early with the One Steps.

@Squiff70 I hope the wait goes quickly! Have you noticed any symptoms yet?

I totally agree with you both about it feeling unfair, and people taking it for granted. Did you see that thread up about the pregnant woman taking cocaine?!

@DNAshelicase No, no symptoms, although I had twinges in my right ovary which I assume is the after-effects of ovulation. I'm going to try not to symptoms spot, though. It's a bit early for genuine symptoms anyway.

Hey! Me and my partner decided to start trying last month so very early days. He was using condoms before so I went off the implant a while ago so regular periods although not 100% sure of my cycle length but between 28-30 days. I had my period on the 19th April so due next week at some point. I am not sure when I ovulated but looking online between the 29th April-4th May. Is there any point me doing a pregnancy test? First time trying makes me keen to know!! Advice welcome

@Beck2277 Hello and welcome! You could do a FRER (First Response Early Result) which can tell you if you're pregnant or not up to 6 days before your missed period. Standard pregnancy tests are usually only accurate on the day (or day before) of your missed period. If your period is due in the next few days, you can either use a FRER now or wait three or four days and try a cheaper, standard HPT. Good luck!

Hi again ladies. Dunno what's up with me today. CD17 and still no positive OPK. I have lower back ache, I'm grouchy and constipated ... oh and I nearly just started a fire by putting hot water in the steam mop (it's now in the garden, melted, and my house stinks) 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hey all, cd29 for me today 6dpo, have had spotting 2-5 dpo which I’m putting down to ovulation. Another banger of a headache yesterday as well.

Morning. New cycle, new start @dizzy85!

I'm on CD19/6DPO so testing Thursday or Friday. I have waves of nausea this morning but might be something to do with the copious amount of crackers I ate last night.

According to my apps I'd have ovulated yesterday but I have no idea and have had no symptoms to say if ive ovulated or not. We've DTD a couple of times but we have both been a bit poorly and tired so I'm not holding any hopes out this month, but it's the first month I've been off the pill so I'm new to learning my cycle. Hopefully I'll see a pattern when I get my next period.

@dizzy85 hi! I'm approaching my fertile window the end of this week/start of next but I'm working almost every night in my FW gonna have to try squeeze in a quickie 😆 how romantic

@MrsB899 Weirdly, yes. I'm getting muscle tremors and I had loads of them when I was pregnant with my twins. I've had waves of nausea all day but not enough to send me running to the bathroom, and feel on the verge of tears, partly because this week was my twins' due date and because DP upset me this morning. I'm trying not to symptom spot though - so I'm not getting my hopes up.

I’m hoping I don’t cave before Friday. I feel absolutely normal so there’s nothing making me think it’s going to happen this month.

@LuciBee I felt absolutely normal too, until tiredness hit me like a tonne of bricks at 3 weeks, lol

Glow has just told me this is a positive test 🤔 it ties in well with my symptoms I suppose & it was only on a 2hr hold.. just thought it'd be darker x
