I desperately need some TTC buddies. We've just started trying for no.3 and we haven't told anyone. I'm bursting but with no one to talk to. I realise this makes me sound like a total sap

@mynameisMrG haha! I didn't feel pregnant with my twins for ages but it's so strange, I can't really explain it. I'm caving and doing a FRER tomorrow with FMU. I'll only be 9DPO tomorrow though so not holding out much hope of a BFP. Watch this space...

I finally got a positive OPK! A big fat smiley on cycle day 21. 9 days this AF due.

Who knows if/when I ovulated this month as my OPKs have gone to pretty much nothing this morning, with my strongest being Sunday morning & afternoon but they still weren't positive x

@Robbo93 I find OPKs really hard to read. What ones are you using

That’s good news @turquoisebaby! I also got a peak reading this morning which I’m amazed at. Haven’t had one in so long I was convinced I was approaching the menopause. This has given me a bit more hope for this month though Only one day of high so we may not have dtd enough to catch it. We shall see.
How did you get on @squiff?

@mrsb I do. A couple of days before and a couple after. Had it most of my adult life which is annoying

If you’re having trouble reading opks there’s a really good app called Premom that you take a picture of the opk and upload it and it measures the ratios of colour and gives you a score, identifying your peak results. I’ve found it really helpful

Do you ladies think the clear blue ovulation tests are worth the money? I've been reluctant to get one as it's an expensive POAS habit as it is my cheapies haven't shown that I've ovulated this month, so feel like I need to bring out the big guns next month!

@mynameisMrG, BFN on FRER. Rather gutted but it might be a bit early. I'll test again over the weekend. If that's negative I'll have to surrender to AF, lol!

@mrsm18 I can’t decide. Last month it went straight from low to peak with no four day fertile period - and it was way earlier than expected and didn’t align with opks.
This month I got a low yesterday followed by a flashing smiley today so I’m curious to see if I get the four high days followed by peak and it if the peak aligns with opk!

Just got my first flashing smiley!!! On cycle day 13 and I'm not ridiculously excited! Such a difference to using the IC last months, so much clearer and easier to tell what's going on!

Ooh excellent @kinsella! I’ve had my second day of peak which is good as DH was to ill and tired last night. I was highly sympathetic as you can imagine

TTC#1

CD15 for me and the 3rd day of EWCM with blood.. not bright just dull and not very much either. My research tells me it could just be ovulation bleeding which is normal but it's really getting me down, we had DTD every day except yesterday as I felt so tired and not sure I love the idea of doing it where there is blood involved even if it is normal 🤷🏻‍♀️ ovulation due to happen in two days according to glow and a fairly faint but still visible line on a cheap OPK this morning so maybe not lost the opportunity just yet! Anyone got any advice for me?

Period isn't due until 5th May so quite sure it isn't that.

Sigh.. why do you see so many pregnant people when you are trying

@helpasisterout I just replied to you on a thread from 2017... I've actually lost the plot. Anyway my reply I wanted to send to THIS thread is -
no helpful advice as I've failed with OPK this month but what I do know is having a faint line all month round is actually quite normal - as we have LH all the time, it just surges around ovulation. X

Quick question are you supposed to DTD every day you get a flashing smiley as well as when you get a static smiley?

@Aberforthsgoat as far as I know dtd every second day is still enough during flashing days as they could go on for a while - I could be wrong though
My plan is every second day til the static then I'll be doing it that day, the day after and the day after that!
