Hi all

AF due monday and I'm getting twitchy. This is month 4 of trying and like a few poeple on the thread, it's really starting to get to me now.

Anyway, and gonna try to hold out until wednesday (if AF not arrived that is) and I'm not going to buy a pg test until I am going to do it.

Still no sign of my period despite crampy pains all day yesterday...but then again...could be this week, could be next, could be who knows when. Now I see why you wait a month after coming off the pill!

I was saved early testing as af arrived yesterday so cd2 for me today..

well I had cramps on friday but not yesterday or today and now a tiny bit of brown spotting. Period would normally be due next week. Will have to see if it turns into a period or not. feels liek the beginning of one I have to say. Having said we'd just throw caution to the wind and not even try that hard, I have to say I'm surprised at myself how disappointed I'll be if my period arrives in the next couple of days. It's like once you open the gates of this ttc lark it really grabs you by the gonads (metaphorically speaking obviously)

Yeah luchinka - I'm totally with you on that.. It's my first month and I'm supposed to be going with the flow - but I'm gutted! And cd 28 of this cycle seems a long way away..

I've just got back from a weekend away and was so miserable at the thought of going to work this morning that I couldn't hold out any longer and did a test. If it had been negative I'd have been even more miserable but fortunately it seems to be a BFP! Not quite sure as the line is much fainter than the control line - husband is more convinced than me! One day to go until AF due so I guess I should wait for a day or two and just see what happens.
I'm stunned (in a good way!). The only health problems I've ever had are gynae ones - PCOS, irregular periods, cervical cancer scares etc. - so I was always convinced that it would take me a long time. Just hoping that I haven't somehow managed to wish that line to appear through powerful thoughts alone :-)

I'm still having a tiny bit of spotting (2nd day of it) and cramping but no sign of period. Implantation bleed or perhaps wishful thinking

holiday - congratulations, my bfp was faint and got a bit darker after a couple of days.
Lunch - its looking good, when you going to do a test? Seems like theres quite a few people getting lucky this month

Hi all

Just checking in. Firstly, congrats to all who have BFP's this month and love to all without.

My AF due today - no sign and have bottled out over doing a PG test. Will do it first thing in morning. Am desparately trying not to convince myself it will a good result....

Have just heard today that I've been successful in getting my name down for a sponsored abseil event in September - kind of ironic really!! An extra dimension to hoping I get a BFP as I will probably not be allowed to do it if PG!!!!!

Anyway, will keep in touch with this thread.

munchkinmum - good luck! fingers crossed for you (that you get a BFP and that you don't have to do the abseil - you're mad!!)
spugs - like you, i did a second test this morning and the line is pinker than yesterday so at least i now feel like it wasn't just a faulty test!
luchinka - i too got cramps for about 2-3 days and got a BFP, so fingers crossed for you
tmto - thinking of you and hoping that you get lucky soon!

frankly, i still don't quite believe it - felt nauseous all day at work yesterday but worried that's just cos i want to feel sick so that i feel more pg! - i've got a gynae appointment at hospital this afternoon for something else so going to ask them then (think doctor confirmation would make it seem more real!)

Had mirena coil removed in May, AF arrived on 9 June lasting until 14th. Started again on 17th lasting until 22nd. Not sure if this should be counted as one big long AF or 2 seperate ones! The problem comes with when is AF due again? I have done 2 PG tests so far, one 4 weeks after start date of first AF and one some time in between - both BFN. No sign of AF, some crampy symptoms and a teeny tiny little bit of "pink" when I wiped yesterday (sorry TMI!)Any suggestions? Should I test again?

Again this is TMI so look away now if faint hearted have now got a brown discharge - is this the start of AF or could it be implantation bleed - when does this occur?

Hi honey28, don't want to disappoint you but it's far more likely to be the beginning of your period. Especially if they've been odd recently. I had brown discharge for about 3 days and cramps and convinced myself it was implantation but I've started a full on period today so CD1 for me. apparently only about a quarter of women even get implantation bleeds. I think we're all symptom spotting so madly that we can persuade ourselves of a lot. Having said that you may be lucky and be one of the quarter and get your bfp. good luck

Honey28 - I had a similar experience this month and clung on the hope that it was implantation bleeding but it was just AF.. try not to get your hopes up too much! Why not wait a few days for your AF to arrive - it may take a while for your AF to settle back into a normal pattern.

You are both right, I think I know deep down that AF is imminent. Oh well, at least I can work out dates etc from now for next month. Will wiat a few more days to see if it arrives Thanks for the replies
