5 DPO+ - symptoms..?

Daydreamer71 · 21/03/2019 13:34

Hi, thought I'd invite anyone who is 5DPO plus to see how you're getting on. Anyone getting any weird 'symptoms'? I'm overanalysing everything that my body is doing so just interested to hear others views really! I'm 7 DPO.

Over the past few days I've had on and off dull ache in lower belly, on Monday I had bad stomach cramps & diarrhea, on and off fatigue etc. And my boobs are a little tender today but it's not as bad as period boobs.

I know some say it's too early to tell etc. and I get that but for this thread I'm really just looking for anyone to share their current experiences and any 'symptoms'

@Kiza nauseous today if I'm honest, but have been all weekend. I thought it was just my body faking symptoms lol! Apart from that little excited but not as excited as last time, I guess my guard will be up until I get a scan saying everything is ok lol!

Kiza · 01/04/2019 17:28

@undomesticgodde55 I completely understand. I miscarried 2 years ago and have only just been emotionally ready the last few months to try again, think that's why I'm similar to you and a bit wary at the faint line. All we can do is try to keep ourselves as stress free as possible, look after ourselves and send out the positive vibes.

Millie2008 · 02/04/2019 09:14

Massive congratulations undomesticgodess - fingers crossed this is a super sticky one. I’m nervous about this also...

Millie2008 · 04/04/2019 08:52

Hey, just thought I’d update that sadly this pregnancy has ended as started bleeding yesterday and no longer bfp on hpt Sad felt really upset yesterday but trying to be a bit more positive today (though physically drained so that doesn’t help). How did you get on undomestic? Really hoping it stuck for you. Have my fingers crossed for the rest of us getting our bfp’s over the next few months x

RandomUsernameHere · 04/04/2019 09:50

So sorry to hear that @Millie2008 sending hugs x

I got a BFN on a FRER yesterday so I'm definitely out. Still no sign of AF though.

Kiza · 04/04/2019 10:17

@Millie2008 so sorry to hear your news, it's so hard when you get the positive sign and then it ends. I'm wondering if I'm in the same boat as last Friday I showed you all what I thought was a faint positive line, have held off doing anymore until today and did a Tesco one and it says negative.
Af due Sunday so the first test was super early but looked like it was positive and I've been excited all week thinking I'd get a bfp today or tomorrow but now there's nothing.

undomesticgodde55 · 04/04/2019 15:04

@Millie2008 I'm so sorry to hear that, it really does suck Sad make sure you take a bit of time out this weekend, it's utterly devastating and shouldn't be over looked. Thanks I hope you have someone you can talk to about this and everyone around you is supportive.

I had another BFP yesterday but very faint again, was due AF yesterday. Going to wait until tomorrow and if AF hasn't arrived will ring the GP - as last time I had a pregnancy of unknown location the hospital have said they will get me in for an early scan to make sure it's in the right place when I get pregnant again - if they have lost that in the system somewhere I'll be booking into a private scan early. I'm finding it so hard to get excited because last time went so horribly wrong in almost waiting for something to go wrong again. Sorry to be such a negative nancy Blush

Millie2008 · 04/04/2019 20:33

Thank you all for your kind words, means a lot.
Random - strange that your AF hasn't shown up... are you usually quite regular?
Kiza - it does sound like you could be in the same situation as me :-( Although after my experience of the cheaper tests I wouldn't trust anything other than FRER or CB to be honest. If AF is due Sunday then it's still pretty early days for you. Keep us updated...
Undomestic - so sorry you had such a crappy time last time. This whole thing really can be so shitty can't it :-( Great if the hospital get you in for an early scan - they should at the very least monitor your hormone levels shouldn't they? Would your GP do blood tests do you think, to make sure things are going in the right direction? I hope they're helpful. Fortunately I have an amazingly supportive partner, as well as a good friend so am feeling looked after. Think I just need to be sad for a couple of days and then I just want to try and get on with the next cycle if we can...

undomesticgodde55 · 04/04/2019 21:18

Yep it sure can be a shitty road, but (I'm hoping!) one that's worth it all lol! I know for me going through a shit storm before has made me more determined and even more sure I want to have a baby. The same can be said for my DP. I linked what happened below (if your interested in that sort of thing) to save me explaining. I think your right to ditch IC, they seem so inconsistent. Fingers crossed your next cycle is the one!

I will definitely keep you all updated, my boobs are getting sore and my sleeping is still rubbish lol. I'm going to wait until next week to call the GP, I'm sure they will check my HCG if they don't do a scan. I'm feeling more positive this evening, I don't have any cramps I this time which I'm taking as a good sign.

@Kiza hopefully this weekend you will get a BFP, I only got mine a day before AF. I kept telling my DP over the weekend I wasn't making up symptoms and eating too much cake!

Millie2008 · 04/04/2019 23:06

Aw, Undomestic- so sorry to read about what you’ve been through Sad On a positive note, if my calculations are correct you must have got this bfp your first cycle trying again after the 3 month wait?
I am so hoping this is your time, but it makes total sense that you’re being cautious after what you’ve been through x

Kiza · 05/04/2019 20:16

@undomesticgodde55 sorry to hear of your experience, sounds incredibly difficult for you both to have gone through such a traumatic experience.

I took two more tests yesterday and had the same result of very faint positives and boobs have been so sore all week can't even wear a bra. However this afternoon I have some light spot bleeding and boobs are no longer sore Sad worried that this may be a chemical pregnancy for me. Will have to hold out the next couple of days to wait and see how this pans out.

undomesticgodde55 · 06/04/2019 09:48

@Kiza I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you, hopefully it sticks. A little bleeding could be completely normal so don't lose hope just yet. Is this your first cycle?

Thanks @Kiza and @Millie2008. In fairness that whole episode doesn't feel like it happened to me now, it was an experience which taught me a lot (1. How much I want this, 2. How bloody amazing my DP is, and 3. How supportive my family and work can be when shit hits the fan. Im very lucky).

I'm a lot more positive today, still taking pregnancy tests . Spoke to the GP yesterday and had a blood test, he said that this pregnancy sounds more positive because I haven't had any cramps or bleeding. Unless something unusual happens he doesn't feel the need to refer me for an early scan which is positive too. Will still book myself into a private one though, I just need to know it's in the right place and it's safe before getting excited .

@Millie2008 how are you getting on now?

undomesticgodde55 · 06/04/2019 09:48

Not sure why that's in bold Hmm

Kiza · 06/04/2019 09:57

@undomesticgodde55 I completely understand your wariness and lovely that you have such an amazing support network around you. Sending you tons and tons of baby dust.
This is our 3rd month of trying, I was pregnant 2 years ago and miscarried at 10 weeks.
Thinking about it the spot bleeding happened straight after the mister and I had sex so not sure if that's something to do with it?
Just got to ride it out for the next few days and see how it goes 🤞🏼

Millie2008 · 06/04/2019 14:12

Doing ok thanks. Just trying to stay positive and focus on this cycle. Also feeling grateful that at least it happened at this very early stage. Only weird thing is how light this “period” has been - spotting on Wednesday, light flow on Thursday, then pretty much returned to spotting on Friday; today seems to have stopped. Not at all normal for me, and I stupidly started thinking- what if it was just early pregnancy bleeding. But then I know this is totally unrealistic as I got that bfn on Thursday...

undomesticgodde55 · 06/04/2019 17:28

@Millie2008 are you still using IC's? Double check with a shop one just to be on the safe side

Millie2008 · 06/04/2019 18:00

The bfn I got on Thursday was a FRER Sad going to have a beer tonight I think xx

undomesticgodde55 · 06/04/2019 18:44

Sad that's gutting. But hey on the plus side you get beer!! And it maybe your last this year Grin best of luck for this month, have my fingers crossed for you

Millie2008 · 06/04/2019 20:00

Aw, thanks so much. Please keep us posted re how your pregnancy progresses. I really do have everything crossed for you xx

Kiza · 07/04/2019 15:07

So I've started to full on bleed today 😢 did another test and this time it's an even stronger positive. However I feel that it's a mc as there's too much blood and probably still have the hcg in my system. Have had a cry and bought a ton of chocolate 😞

5 DPO+ - symptoms..?
undomesticgodde55 · 07/04/2019 17:34

Hi @Kiza, have you spoken to your GP? You shouldn't have a positive if it's a miscarriage - id be tempted to go to A&E tonight to make sure there isn't a problem or ring 111. It may not be passing correctly and risk an infection Thanks

Kiza · 07/04/2019 17:59

I'm due to see my gp on the 15th April due to a breast lump so was going to wait then. I assumed the positive test result was possibly due to the hcg hormone taking a while to leave my body as I've read a number of conversations on here of women still getting a positive result weeks after.
I'll ring the gp tomorrow and see what they say, my last miscarriage took a long time to fully leave my body also so if this is a mc looks like the same thing.
Just gutted as got my hopes up with the positive tests last week and now looks like mc 😢

undomesticgodde55 · 07/04/2019 18:04

Ah that's fair enough. I think I just got OTT when I hear anything like this now because I read up on so much about eptopic's Blush

Kiza · 07/04/2019 19:39

@undomesticgodde55 that's understandable, it's such an emotional time for all of us when we are on these journeys.
I made myself some cake but couldn't eat much as now I feel nauseas and my sore boobs have come back 🤦🏼‍♀️ this is such a headf*$k!
Think I'll ring the gp tomorrow regardless for some advice. Thanks for your support and hope you're feeling ok too x

undomesticgodde55 · 07/04/2019 19:53

Emotional is an understatement lol. I'm literally noting every twinge my body makes right now Blush earlier I had a slight twinge on my right side, panicked a little and cough passed wind Confused. Timing the GP will at the least put your mind at rest. Even if there is nothing to be worried about - keep us all updated on what they say. Thanks

We should keep this thread going for after support Grin and in 2 weeks everyone will be on their 2ww again whoop!! I don't really want to join another thread now I've got to know you all lol
