2WW... The longest wait

Hi, I was just feeling a bit down in my 2ww and wanted to share a bit. I'm trying so hard not to symptom spot but it's impossible.

Im around 7 or 8dpo, I couldn't pinpoint the actual day as LH tests were inconclusive, CM got very watery one day and the next seem thicker so I'm hoping that's when I ovulate. I have sore boobs, slight backache, weird ache very low down in my abdomen, almost like an internal bruise. If I stand, sit or bend then I feel it ache.

Cervix is high and soft, creamy CM, little bit of nausea but that's probably because I'm working myself up... I stupidly did a test this morning which was a bfn so feeling even worse now!

I know everyone else feels the same way but I wish I just knew one way or another... I'm 35 so worried that's affecting my fertility too.

Thanks, just needed to vent a bit x

@sauty I have been super healthy recently I exercise a lot, eat well and haven’t been drinking, taking supplements etc, I did some of what you said but I have to say not all. Although it is our anniversary tomorrow so I’m going to treat myself to some bloody wine! I haven’t lost hope as did conceive before but I’m going to try not let it consume me as much, so hard though Xx

AutismFamily · 19/06/2019 09:51

AutismFamily · 22/06/2019 10:37

Hi everyone how are we all xxx

ahhgowan · 22/06/2019 17:34

I still can't stop testing Blush I'm so paranoid after my last pregnancy ending in MMC. The lines are getting darker and the clear blue digi has gone from 1-2 to 2-3 weeks which is all looking good but with the MMC the baby stopped growing at 5 weeks and I'm still only 4+4 so I don't know how to stop being scared ShockConfused because there's nothing I can do anyway I really want to just relax and go with the flow but it's too hard Sad

AutismFamily · 23/06/2019 12:17

@ahhgowan I'm the same with pregnancies so don't worry it is totally natural. If I remember correctly @peasando wasn't u the same.
Have you gone to the doctor and got a early scan xx

peasando · 23/06/2019 17:52

Yes totally, I kept testing right up until I had my first scan at 6 weeks. And possibly a couple of times after that Blush Definitely see if it's possible to get an early scan for a bit of reassurance xx

ahhgowan · 26/06/2019 14:10

When do you think the best time to go for a scan would be? I really want to go ASAP so say next week when I'll be 6 weeks but I'm terrified of them saying they can't find a heartbeat maybe it's too early etc etc and to come back in two weeks or whatever. I'm also scared of going at 6 weeks and seeing a heartbeat and then at my next scan there isn't one. When I had the MMC I didn't want to do surgical at first so chose expectant management and didn't start bleeding until after the date my 12 week scan would have been so I wouldn't have known anything was wrong for all that time if I hadn't paid for an early scan at 8 weeks. It's all so scary isn't it. My first pregnancy was 12 years ago and I was totally fine throughout all of that didn't worry at all did one test and that was it didn't think about it again I wish I could be so carefree this time Confused

peasando · 26/06/2019 15:23

I think 6 weeks is the earliest they can see a heartbeat, I had mine then and saw one but it's not guaranteed they'll see it then. Even without the heartbeat they can still check everything's going as it should be. I'm so sorry about your MMC - I have a very understanding consultant and he booked me in for scans at 6, 7 and 9 weeks and I got myself a private one at 8 weeks and then one with my harmony test at 10 weeks! But even I admit that was a bit over the top...! 🙄 x

peasando · 26/06/2019 15:24

At 15 weeks now this is the longest I've gone without a scan and I'm itching to get one...!

imnewtothis · 26/06/2019 16:00

I thought I would join if that's okay, had a mc 2 weeks ago, after not planning on having children just yet our little surprise has made us realise we want to start trying, I am in need of guidance on all the lingo, and do ovulation strips work?

AutismFamily · 26/06/2019 16:29

Hi @imnewtothis how are u? Firstly sorry to hear of your loss I hope you and your partner are doing ok. I personally think they do work xx

imnewtothis · 26/06/2019 16:40

Hi @autismfamily yeah we are getting there thank you, I have bought some off Amazon, when is the best time to start testing?xx

AutismFamily · 26/06/2019 16:44

Have you stopped bleeding and been given the all clear of your doctor xx

imnewtothis · 27/06/2019 06:57

I went to early pregnancy and they advised that as soon as the bleeding stopped and I had a negative pregnancy test i was in the clear xx

AutismFamily · 27/06/2019 10:39

Then if that's the case and all that has happened then you can do it straight away. Do you have a app and know the other ways to check yourself xx

imnewtothis · 27/06/2019 14:50

I have an app that came with the ovulation sticks, but other than that I'm not sure how else to check xx

AutismFamily · 27/06/2019 17:57

You can check your tempture each morning, your cervical position and also your cervical mucus. What app you got as alot let you put the information in to help you xx

imnewtothis · 27/06/2019 19:54

It is called femoeter, I will have to get myself a thermometer, which kind is best?xx

AutismFamily · 27/06/2019 22:50

Any kind is fine. I just got a digital one from home bargains. I think I have used that one before it's good xx

LS19 · 02/07/2019 22:46

Hiya guys! Sorry for those that don't remember my messages earlier last month!

So worryingly, finished my 'period' tested and im super positive! Got a gp appointment tomorrow, a and e refused to scan unless i had a referral regardless of the bleeding! What a joke!

peasando · 03/07/2019 12:47

@LS19 that's brilliant news, congratulations! Let us know how you get on with the GP. Hopefully they'll get you in for a scan - otherwise could you book a private one?

LS19 · 03/07/2019 12:53

I had to book a private scan! Baby us 6 weeks and perfect!

peasando · 03/07/2019 21:40
