@Waiting2bMum I've officially stopped peeing on sticks - I went to the doctors last week and she gave me a bit of a telling off saying that the way I'm doing things was completely unhealthy, she said I just need to relax and let me body do whatever it's going to do, there's nothing to be achieved by peeing on sticks and it's not going to change anything as it's really out of my control, I actually feel so silly now for testing so much.
She also said if this pregnancy isn't successful that in future wait until you are a week late before you test she said that up to 60% of pregnancies go undetected and people just start their period never knowing they were even pregnant, so testing early causes a huge amount of unnecessary heartache for so many women and these early detection tests are aimed at women who are desperate to be pregnant and the companies are exploiting that, all of what she said made so much sense!
I am 5+5 today and all being well am going to get booked in for an early scan, these early weeks are stressful but I'm just trying to go with the mentality of if it's meant to be it will be.
I am so sorry for what you are going through but I feel that it's really only a matter of time before you get your sticky bean it will happen for you soon I just know it XX

Waiting2bMum · 19/02/2019 10:23

@MrsP4 thank you☺️☺️sounds like your doing all the right things. Bodies are all so different and it's a big change for it. I wouldn't get dishearten yet as I didn't fall for the first one until 14months of trying. Be really chilled about it, I had to do that in the end as I was stressing so much xx
@Tryingforno2 aww I'm so glad all is well for you. It is such a worry though isn't it but you will be fine. Yes I agree with the early tests. I am greatful because otherwise I wouldn't of thought it was happening but this time round I won't be testing until I'm late now. This cycle I'm going to be really chilled not use any apps, OPK, or early testing. Thank you xx

@Waiting2bMum I know and that's the annoying thing which makes it so hard, one of my best friends was on the same pill as me and she came off and was pregnant 3 months later so you can't help compare yourself thinking why hasn't it happened to me? Think I'm just going to book a holiday 😂 feel like I need it!

TheatreMumma · 19/02/2019 11:01

Welcome back @Waiting2bMum! That sounds like a really healthy approach to just try and be relaxed about it. Easier said than done, but we all know there's nothing really we can do to speed things up / change things, other than dtd lots!

I'm so annoyed that my dtd every other day plan was scuppered by a horrible bout of flu this month. I'm somewhere in the tww (I think?!) but waiting for af really I think.

@MrsP4 I think the disappointment is crushing however many cycles you've gone through. There's only a 20% chance of success each month though, so sadly the odds are stacked against us! 😫

Did anyone else plan to skip March to avoid a Christmas baby and then think oh sod it? 😂🙈

MrsP4 · 19/02/2019 13:00

@TheatreMumma I know it's so devastating! It's my birthday in just over a week and AF due 2 days before, would be the best birthday present getting a BFP either way me and DH are away that weekend so I feel like if it's another BFN I won't be so down about it because I'm away, when is everyone due AF?

TheatreMumma · 19/02/2019 14:22

@MrsP4 I'll keep everything crossed for you and it's good that you've got something else to focus on either way. Do you chart bbt? I just started doing that and mine's a bit out this month due to 5 days of fever but it's definitely been the most enlightening out of everything I've tried so far. Hoping to use it to understand my cycles more as I'm quite irregular. AF due any time over the next 1-1.5 weeks now. Last month's chart showed a really obvious dip before af so at least it helps give me a bit of warning.

MrsP4 · 19/02/2019 14:50

Ahh that's good glad temping is working for you I tried it in Dec however I work shifts which is no good for BBT as sometimes I'm getting up at 3am and sometimes I'm getting in at 3am so my chart ends up being really erratic and inconsistent which is annoying I just use OPKS and use a couple of apps I also try and so SMEP most months but just no luck yet! DH seems to think we're going to conceive in March have no idea why but that's what he thinks! Then I'm thinking but then baby will be due in DEC and what if it comes on Xmas day! 😂😂🙈🙈

TheatreMumma · 19/02/2019 20:01

@MrsP4 I'm sure I'm going to conceive in March - purely karma for the number of times I've complained about all the people in my family who have birthdays so close to Christmas and have said 'why can't people just keep their legs crossed in March?!' 😂🙈
Ugh yeah I can see that's too hard to temp with those working patterns. I tried OPKs this month but got too fed up with never seeing even a hint of a line. I also think having to reduce liquid intake to do them probably isn't that conducive to ttc 🙈

MrsE95 · 19/02/2019 22:39

@waiting2bmum so glad you’re back and feeling a little better, we missed you! I am not stressing AT ALL this month. I’m currently away in Poland on holiday and just enjoying a week of lots of baby dancing. I’m not charting or OPKs. I’ve had a look on my app but not inputting any symptom data or anything. App says ov due Thursday maybe but again not really bothered. If it happens it happens if it doesn’t it doesn’t. Can’t go through what I did again last month for a long time yet. 😞😞 how are you doing? What does your cycle look like now? Presuming we’re not twins this month? (But always will be original cycle twins. 😂)

@tryingforno2 So pleased you’ve stopped stressing and everything is going okay! Lots of love to you!💖

Tryingforno2 · 19/02/2019 22:43

Ahhhh thanks @MrsE95 it's still early days but so far all seems ok, have a lovely holiday! Xxx

MrsP4 · 19/02/2019 22:53

Haha @TheatreMumma that will be just your luck! But hey on the bright side I'd be telling people like mums and dads their new grandchild is there Christmas present 😂 save a fortune haha

Waiting2bMum · 20/02/2019 08:27

@MrsP4 I know it is very hard. And exactly, iv know people to fall pregnant the first month and all be fine. It makes you question so much doesn't it x
Hi @TheatreMumma thank you! Glad to be back now😀exactly that! If it's going to happen it will happen. Just so upsetting my 3 haven't stayed. Ahh no that's a sane you was unwell at the wrong time! Fingers crossed this next time. I never actually thought of that with a Christmas baby😂😂xx
Aww thank you so much @MrsE95 it's also lovely to have you back too! How lovely are you having a nice time? Same as that I'm not putting any data in, no opks, nothing😬😬fingers crossed for us. Mine says ovulation in 5days so not not cycle twins but we always will be☺️☺️I'm only a few days behind you xx

Hi everyone, don't suppose anybody can offer some advice. I'm about a week and a half past my period and I've had a really mucusy discharge (quite a lot) and it's light brown (sorry tmi). Is this a sign of ovulation? xx

JessHughes17 · 20/02/2019 18:04

P.S I took a picture but it's a bit grim so decided to try and describe it instead 😆 x

Tryingforno2 · 20/02/2019 22:44

Hi @JessHughes17 I'm sorry I'm not sure about that one I know that's not very helpful but didn't want to read and run! I get clear stretchy mucous like egg white in my fertile period but I've never had any brown coloured x

JessHughes17 · 20/02/2019 22:55

@Tryingforno2 aw no worries, thank you anyway. It's definitely that consistency just not clear, more of a light brown. Xx

ChloePD · 21/02/2019 03:32

@JessHughes17 I'm having the exact same thing but mine has come a week after a suspected implantation bleed (light brown and pink spotting last week, lasted 2 days) and yesterday I had lots of creamy light brown cm and today a cold sore, which I had had only twice before in my life!! It's so frustrating not knowing what your body is doing isn't it!! Good luck

JessHughes17 · 21/02/2019 07:10

@ChloePD that all sounds promising 🤞🏼 keep us updated!
Yes it's frustrating not knowing what everything means, I'm learning lots through this thread though. I don't think my bleed could have been implantation cause it lasted 4 days and was more like a period. Maybe mines just a sign of ovulation!
Good luck with yours!!! X

MrsE95 · 21/02/2019 08:27

We’re having a lovely time thank you @waiting2bmum! I changed my hotel last minute to a nicer one so much nicer for lots of baby dancing. 🙈 and ooohhh you’re not too far behind me then! I’m enjoying this no stressing about OPKs or anything. Let’s just hope I do the same in the 2ww as well! Just need to keep ourselves busy and hide the pee sticks! 😂 xx

Waiting2bMum · 21/02/2019 09:10

@JessHughes17 it light be a sign of implantation bleed, or it could be your body settling down after stopping the pill. When I first stopped the first month I had that. Finger crossed for you x

@MrsE95 ohhhhh sounds lovely!! Glad you having a good time. No not too far behind😬😬I haven't actually got any tests so I planning on staying like that so I don't get obsessed with it again. I'm going to wait until a missed period this time too xx

Tryingforno2 · 23/02/2019 11:49

Hi all, well @Waiting2bMum and @MrsE95 I'm joining in with the heartbreak this cycle I had some light spotting yesterday morning went to the docs who sent me strait to epu for a scan, they couldn't see anything at all not even an empty sac so had to have bloods done to check for ectopic pregnancy and more blood tomorrow however I have passed quite a large amount of issue accompanied with severe cramping overnight so at this stage I am hoping that this was the pregnancy as I really don't want to lose a tube with an ectopic! The tests tomorrow will hopefully confirm hcg is going down as would be expected with a miscarriage. So I'm going to be back ttc with you ladies I am absolutely devastated and I'm not sure if we will start trying strait away or leave it for a couple of cycles, hoping you guys get some good news soon and get your bfps x

TheatreMumma · 23/02/2019 13:25

I'm so so sorry @Tryingforno2 😔 That must have been awful to go through. I really hope the results are as positive as they can be in this situation 💐

Tryingforno2 · 23/02/2019 15:42

Thanks @TheatreMumma yeah it's proving painful both physically and emotionally I had a chemical last year but the result of that was just like a period this is a bit different at over 6 weeks it's awful I feel so sorry for anyone who goes through it at a later stage than this, starting to wonder if a bit of luck will ever come our way xx

TheatreMumma · 23/02/2019 16:21

@Tryingforno2 It must be completely heartbreaking. You can't help but get excited and plan in that time, can you? I really believe that things will get better for you when the time is right though 💐

MrsE95 · 23/02/2019 17:11

@tryingforno2 I’m so very sorry to hear that. 😭😭😭 I can only imagine the heartbreak. 😞😞

@waiting2bmum I’m also going to wait until at least 2 days passed missed period (well I’m going to try to anyway 🙈) xx
