@Tryingforno2 I hope it's that 😆 I'll go and buy a FRER - is that the one that's meant to be the best? Xx

Tryingforno2 · 08/02/2019 08:14

@JessHughes17 in my experience the frer are by far the most sensitive and I've had loads of false positives with clearblue with faint lines and stuff so I'd either go for a clear blue digital but if you were very early it might not be sensitive enough, but a frer would probably give you a positive if you are pregnant and due your period about now as they can give positives 6 days before it's due x

Hi Everyone,

Sorry Im so late- have been reading this thread for a while so thought I'd join :)

Im 21, 22 in 12 days :)
TTC 1
Cycle 1

Im a bit clueless as it stands, came off the pill properly on the 1st Feb however skipped a few from the 25th Jan. Have not had a withdrawal bleed yet however had a very small amount of thick brown discharge on the 4th Feb (once off)

Did an OPK on the 4th Feb which came back as negative, another OPK on the 5th and its been 'high fertility' since, but still no LH surge, so 4 days high fertility currently.

No clue what cd I am on though but Natural Cycles predicts cycle day 15. Have been DTD every second day since the 4th. Have had light cramps since the 5th, very bloated but no other symptoms. Very unusual for me to not have withdrawal bleed as I usually have this if I forget to take the pill for even a day and a half. Patiently waiting for AF so that I can start to get to know my cycle.

Very excited and thank you all for welcoming me to the group :)

Hi Everyone,

I have been reading this thread and was hoping I’m not too late to join? It’s nice that everyone shares their journeys.

I’m 27
TTC #1
Cycle 2

I’m not using the ovulation kits, but I have been using the online calculators to work out the most fertile days. Do you think this is ok or should I be looking at getting an ovulation kit?
We have been DTD everyday since the end of my last AF. I’m due to ovulate sometime between today and next Wednesday. Would you recommend sticking to once a day? Or every other?
I’m just so excited for it to happen already 🙊 Thank you x

Tryingforno2 · 08/02/2019 12:35

@ChloePD welcome :-) do you think there's a chance you have already conceived of you have missed your pill the odd time in January?
@MrsE95 hope you are ok today and the pain has got a bit easier 😟
@Waiting2bMum I'm peeing on sticks like a crazy woman and over analysing line colour and strength please tell me I'm not alone 🤦‍♀️😂

Tryingforno2 · 08/02/2019 12:36

@Hannah192 we've been having unprotected sex for 13 months and this month I have got my first positive and this is the first month we used opks I think they are handy to have x

Waiting2bMum · 08/02/2019 12:38

@Hannah192 @ChloePD welcome☺️☺️lovely to have you both!! Never too late xx

@Tryingforno2 I'm so glad you said that! I'm the same really scared at the moment and rang the doctors waiting for a call back. My lines aren't getting darker, if anything they look fainter but still there. I'm trying to be so positive and have read so many things that you should go on the darkness of the test xxx

JessHughes17 · 08/02/2019 12:41

Welcome @Hannah192 & @ChloePD and good luck!! It's so exciting isn't it 😆 after my mishap with the other test I'm off to buy a FRER to do in the morning. Sorry I can't offer much advice to you guys as I'm still learning lots from the group. Xx

Waiting2bMum · 08/02/2019 12:41

@MrsE95 how are you? Bit worried as we haven't heard from you xxx

Hannah192 · 08/02/2019 12:52

Thank you all for being so welcoming 😊
@Tryingforno2 congratulations on the positive! Thank you for the advice, I think I will get a couple of kits and give that a go.
@JessHughes17 so exciting!! Hope it goes well with your test in the morning!

Tryingforno2 · 08/02/2019 13:07

@Waiting2bMum no honestly I'm the same I felt so strong the other day and was like I'm not going to test now for a week but I've got cramps I've pretty but had them since 6dpo on and off they are not painful just mildly uncomfortable and I don't remember having them with my last pregnancy but it's all a bit of a blur to be honest I can't remember much!
I went and bought a test today but didn't want to spend yet another £10 so got a cheaply which is 25 ml sensitivity and frer are much more sensitive - this is my line on the less sensitive one today but I don't even know what a good line would be at this point I just feel like it should be dark 😟
The doc will be able to take bloods I'm guessing for the hcg? I'm going to see how I get on over the weekend might invest in another first response tomorrow and hope for a deep red line x

@Tryingforno2 seems like we are both in the same situation. I keep telling myself to stop doing them because I've spent a fortune but I'm doing quite a few a day!! That's what my line looks like. Maybe we are over worrying. I did read that it peaks just before 4 weeks and then it doesn't pick up so well as the hcg rises xx
@Hannah192 sorry for my short reply and quick welcome earlier. I would deffo recommend the Flo app and OPK cheap tests. I wouldn't go for the clear blue digital, they cost a fortune and personal I didn't have much luck with them. I like the cheap ones as you can see the line develop. For you I would probably start using OPK around CD 10-12 so you get to know your cycle.
Ask anything you like I'm sure someone here can help xx

Tryingforno2 · 08/02/2019 14:05

@Waiting2bMum think I'm just gunna nip out later and get a frer then I can make a true line comparison! The line is no lighter than yesterday's frer it's just not darker and I want a darker one to make me feel a little better! I hope we both get really good lines soon I should just step away from the tests but it's so hard when you have had a loss isn't it 😢 xx

Waiting2bMum · 08/02/2019 14:11

@Tryingforno2 yeah it is so difficult. I feel a lot better now, the midwife called me back and reassured me. She said to not count on the line, she hasn't heard of any worries of the line strength. She has booked me in for the end of March. She said as long as there is no major cramping or bleeding then just relax and enjoy it and to not stress. She was lovely xx

Tryingforno2 · 08/02/2019 14:20

Ah that's brilliant :-) ok so I'm gunna hold of testing again I'm just going to do another digital in a week maybe and by point it will hopefully say 3+ , I'm saying this but I probably won't be able to wait that long it's like some sort of addiction 😂 xx

ChloePD · 08/02/2019 14:33

@Tryingforno2 I don’t think so as I’ve done one pregnancy test this morning at it was a BFN so I’m sure if I had conceived in Jan with missed pills, I would get a BFP by now! I’m also getting high fertility results on OPK and white creamy cm, I just need to be patient and wait for AF so I can get to know my cycle.

Will keep you all updated but for now I’m loving hearing everyone’s stories and keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

Tryingforno2 · 08/02/2019 19:09

@ChloePD ah I see! Well good luck hopefully you won't need to get to know your cycles and you will just get lucky this month 😉 xxx

TheatreMumma · 08/02/2019 19:44

Hello and welcome to all the new ladies!

Routing for you @Waiting2bMum!

@MrsE95 Really hope you're ok

Just thought I'd spread some positivity to everyone back to trying / waiting to try. I've been enjoying super hot yoga classes this week and am about to have a cheese and wine night with the hubby - bring on all the stinky blues! Let's embrace all the things we can't do when we get our bfps 😊 Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Waiting2bMum · 09/02/2019 07:58

Ladies got a very hard situation of know what to do. After speaking to the midwife I felt really positive even though my line were fainter. Iv woke up this morning and I'm bleeding😢😢but iv still got a faint positive? Can anyone help me? I'm debating whether to go up the hospital and get checked or leave it for a bit longer? I had no warning signs or no cramping xx

OP posts:
meepmoop · 09/02/2019 08:16

Oh no @Waiting2bMum I'm not sure what's best. Can you call the midwives and see what they say?

Tryingforno2 · 09/02/2019 08:20

@Waiting2bMum if it's heavy bleeding I would give 111 a cal and just see what they advise, if it's a bit of spotting I would probably wait and see what happens :-( so sorry you must be worried sending hugs xx

Waiting2bMum · 09/02/2019 08:22

@meepmoop @Tryingforno2 I do feel upset but I feel used to it now that's the sad thing😢when I lost the over two I have dark red/purple tissue clots and I haven't got this. Iv got no cramping or any pain. I might leave it a few hours, take another test later and check in the morning with fmu and see what the outcome is and then book in with my doctor xx

I hope it works out okay @Waiting2bMum. My sister had bleeding all throughout her pregnancy and it was all okay in the end. I'll be thinking of you today.

Tryingforno2 · 09/02/2019 08:56

@Waiting2bMum fingers crossed it's just a bit of bleeding that is Harmless and won't last 🤞🏻🤞🏻hope things improve for you today xxxx
