@Seahawk80 you're not out till af arrives!! Fingers crossed for you!!

@bunhead34 I think it depends on your area but I wanna say it's 6 months if you're over 35 but I could be wrong! I know it's a year or so for under that. Some places maybe more.

bunhead34 · 16/12/2018 10:45

@MrsLBear I think you're right, damn a a year is such a long time tho! Shock
I might be able to to bupa through hubs work, so will look into that.

MrsLBear · 16/12/2018 11:53

@bunhead34 I do know of a few couples that fibbed a little and added a few months to how long they've been trying. Still worth going to your gp to see what they will say. I had bloods and scans cos my af were a bit irregular - having said that in hindsight they weren't really I just tend to have cycles that vary between 30/36 days - and it gave me good peace of mind (mainly got tested for PCOS). Defo look into the bupa thing though!!

Moncwf · 16/12/2018 13:04

@bunhead34 I went to my GP because after DS my periods were irregular and much heavier and I was worried would affect TTC. I expected to be brushed off but she said out of the ordinary is worth investigating and referred me for ultrasound and blood tests to rule out fibroids or thyroid issues. I'm still waiting on all the results so far only an incidental finding of pelvic congestion. It's not strictly TTC related but it's given me a bit of confidence that any underlying health issues can be found and addressed. If there's anything that worries you about your cycle see if you can get checked. I think all too often women think menstrual problems will be ignored but they're worth being on top of for overall health. Then, if you do need help with fertility later, at least you know if there's anything else in the mix.

I have heard excellent things about acupuncture and seriously considering it for next cycle, if I can get childcare for ds to get an appointment!

Ergh im on day 11 of testing and still no peak on the ovulation tests. Same thing happened last month which concerns me

Moncwf · 17/12/2018 12:08

@craftymum01 you might have a short lh surge that is hard to catch? Do you get reliable secondary signs?
Well, I'm 11dpo and was convinced I was out by 8dpo. Last night got a strange 'letdown' sensation in my boobs (like when breastfeeding) and proceeded to Google like crazy. Answers ranged from 'definitely pregnant' to 'definitely not pregnant'
AF is due Wednesday or Thursday so I decided to wait until then to test. Then lost all sense and used an Amazon cheapy mid morning. I think I have line eye Confused I know the answer, wait until tomorrow and use fmu and a frer!

craftymum01 · 17/12/2018 12:30

I do usually, but haven’t had them this time. Maybe my cycles been a bit haywire this month.

mussie · 17/12/2018 13:18

Ooh exciting @Moncwf ! Good luck for tomorrow morning!

Seahawk80 · 17/12/2018 13:28

I'm so bored today, off work and at home with DS who is sick (but actually fine just randomly puking every so often!) so of course I cracked and tested and nothing, not even a squinter , it was only after a 3hr hold though and a standard boots test and AF not due til tomorrow so I'm clutching at straws and thinking it doesn't mean I'm out! xx

Moncwf · 17/12/2018 15:02

@mussie thanks, couldn't wait, got a line 🙈

@moncwf congratulations! So lovely to see a BFP.

ronniemipperton · 17/12/2018 19:55

Hurrah congrats @moncwf!

Peaky1 · 17/12/2018 20:18

Yes @Moncwf !! How exciting?! All the best for you moving forwards 😁.

I'm now on cd13 I think so I'm testing and waiting to ambush that egg 😆! I feel impatient but chilled at the same time...doesn't even make sense 🤪. I think I'm just so busy with work and kids that the time passes quickly

Moncwf · 17/12/2018 20:35

Thanks all! Cautiously pleased over here, and a but surprised that it happened already.

Not sure how to work not drinking at Christmas, I'm not usually the type to turn down a drink...

03cclarke · 17/12/2018 22:00

Yay! Congrats @Moncwf I'm only 7dpo and testing every day Hahahha! So stupid but I wake up in the morning and it's all I can think about!! I just think 'but what if I'm the lucky early ones'!!!! So ridiculous. It's my first cycle so I hope I will get better at waiting out the 2WW as the months pass! Hahha

bluesdetoi · 17/12/2018 22:24

So I keep getting very faint lines on my tests, and I'm at my wits end as to whether I should believe I'm pregnant or not.

My period is 3 days late only, and I have all the symptoms that usually mean AF is coming, but nothing yet. I've taken 4 tests, one was blank and 3 have very faint lines, so faint that I keep telling myself it has no be evap lines.

Need answers soon, body!

bluesdetoi · 17/12/2018 22:26

Forgot to attach. Here is the latest sneaky test...

03cclarke · 17/12/2018 22:56
