My body’s been a bit tricky to decipher this month - temping’s been all over the place from too much December drinking and a bad cold, FF and I completely disagree about when I ovulated, and regardless of when it happened DH and I did very well at DTD until about a week before ovulation and then gave up. Despite all this I am still reading too much into the temp dip this morning. Get a grip Ronnie!

@bluesdetoi I think I see something. Can you get a more sensitive test? Or try first thing in the morning?

@03cclarke it's our first proper cycle. We decided mid way through last cycle but think I had already ovulated. Took us 3 cycles with DS and my cycle has been a bit weird since stopping breastfeeding so was expecting it to take much longer.

I don't know how to tag you guys using the app, but will definitely try again today and update you. I got one just as faint a week ago today, so I'm worried that it hasn't become stronger by now.

Af due today...after yesterday's BFN I'm going to wait until at least Thursday to test but on constant knicker watch! Feel pretty down as we had a week off and a romantic night away over FW. Don't know how we can manage to have that much sex again if it hasn't worked this month 😭

@ronniemipperton I had the same last month. My temps showed absolutely nothing and I couldn't get when I ovulated despite my app given a date. December is a hard month with drinking etc so I wouldn't worry too much about it. You could still have DTD close enough or in your fw week!!

Sorry to hear about your bfn @Seahawk80. I always tell myself it's not me cos you only have a 20% success rate even as close to O as poss. But you're not out till af arrives!!

Thanks @MrsLBear :) I have had a few textbook months for temping but as they say you can have a beautiful chart and a BFN (I definitely know this to be true) and a messy chart with a BFP (feels unlikely but keeping my fingers crossed anyway!)

Roll on January where I aim to be super healthy, get lots of rest and not have temps all over the place from having stayed up all night/necked a bottle of wine 😂

@seahawk80 you might not need all that sex, just make sure to hit a few times around fertile week so you're covered.

We honestly just decided to start trying when I was coming into my fertile week, and only managed to dtd once, so I'm baffled anything seems to have taken tbh.

Here's an updated test, I feel like it's gotten a teensy bit darker, but on CD 34 now, and I feel like it should be much darker than this...

@ronniemipperton 100% up for a healthy January. So hard to be healthy and good during December. Just impossible so I'm embracing it.
I know ff loves to remind me that my temps aren't taken at the same time every day even though tbf I think once a week it might be a bit later. Feels like I'm getting a telling off!

Can I ask you ladies about the magical science of ovulation? I'm using the tests for the first time in my life so forgive my ignorance. Are your tests totally negative looking until the very day and then the line is just there? I keep wanting to see at least a faint line but at the same time I know it doesn't work that way!! Does the LH 'surge' really SURGE and you suddenly get a nice positive line that afternoon?

Thanks @MrsLBear @bluesdetoi still no sign of AF! Feel a little bit crampy but as bad as usual before AF plus I feel slightly sick and freezing cold - both of which were pretty much constant for me in early pregnancy with DS. So who knows 🤷‍♀️

Right I have been thinking that I'm 8dpo because that's when my LH stick showed a positive but my natural cycles app is telling me that I ovulated 4 days after that?!?!?! If my app is right that I dtd too early!!!

Fingers crossed @seahawk80. I think if I didn't have a frer I'd still be squinting at my internet cheapies. Picked up an Asda one that's allegedly sensitive from 4 days early and barely a line, I don't think I'd get a line on a standard test yet.

Me & dh have decided, if i dont fall pregnant this time round, we should have a break from ttc (few months out). Go on holiday, for him to lose weight.
I know it would do us some good, as we havent been away for 2 years. But part of me feels a bit gutted, means more time waiting.

My temp is still down so I guess AF is on her way. All very confusing, I hope my next cycle is easier to decipher!

@ronniemipperton I'm about 7dpo and very high temp? What's the correlation between temp and being preggo???

Congratulations on the bfps!

I'm failing at trying not to symptom spot... I'm on my second cycle of temping and since I saw a temperature dip this morning (I'm 7dpo and it went below the control line) I can't switch off from it! I've had stabbing pains in one of my boobs all day and just this evening I've started to feel achey (but realistically that'll be down to a busy work day!)

Going to hold off to test 😬 and hoping for my temperature to rise again tomorrow.

Hey @bluesdetoi still no sign of AF here! Call me crazy but I've decided to wait one more day and test with FMU tomorrow, that way AF will be 3 days late and if it's still a BFN I know I'm just in for a weird long cycle!
