We're very close to maxing-out our previous thread, so time to start afresh 🙂

To borrow the intro from @Blondcat (our old threads founder):

A wonderful bunch of ladies supporting each other through the ttc journey when trying for a first baby after 35.

Good luck all!! 🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻

@CNizzle
Sending you so many squeezes and thoughts xxx

TheNewbieStep · 02/11/2018 13:06

Low slung achy tummy and massive tits. Cbfm says 'peak'!

Carley32 · 02/11/2018 13:09

@Cnizzle I’m so sorry to hear that. What an awful time. Sending a big hug to you. X

@79andnotout just really minor mini cramps (like a few mini prods here and there). Which must have been ov pains because my CB test strips came back today, got a big smiley face on the first test 😁. 🤞

Oh @Beeseeinya I hate the dentist! X

terriwrist · 02/11/2018 13:12

@Cnizzle sorry to hear of what you're going through :(

Peanut35 · 02/11/2018 13:21

Hi im new to all these forums just turned 35 been ttc for the last 7 months with no luck i ovulated yesterday or the day before so now entering the dreaded 2ww 😭😭

terriwrist · 02/11/2018 13:48

Hi @Peanut35 I'm 37 (almost 38). Also fairly new to the forum...started tracking last month but severely jetlagged due to round the world trip and so temping didn't work last month... couldn't tell when or if I ovulated. This month there's a marked difference between pre and post ovulation temps. I also used the CV Advanced fertility test this month which correctly predicted the temperature rise. I appear to be 4 DPO today. This is Cycle 2 of ttc.

terriwrist · 02/11/2018 13:50

Also DTD this month the two days before ovulation, as well as the day of ovulation, and the day after ovulation... so almost the full SMEP!

Kescilly · 02/11/2018 13:51

@CNizzle I’m so sorry about your father. Sending you hugs and thinking of you.

Peanut35 · 02/11/2018 13:58

Ive been driving myself crazy get so upset every month when i get a bfn and to make it worse last month i got a bfp one day and then bfn and then af was heartbreaking....i have two children already so i know i am lucky but i have had problems with smears and bad cells and keep having to have them removed from my cervix so im so scared if it doesnt happen soon it might not be an option in the future 😭

Peanut35 · 02/11/2018 14:15

@terriwrist same dtd mon tuesday and thursday think i ovulated thursday this is the first time managing to dtd on actual ovulation day 🙄

NotMaryWhitehouse · 02/11/2018 14:46

I'm out this month. Sigh. Been having funny stretchy cramps all week (which I recognise from previous, unsuccessful pregnancies) but just POAS and it's veeeery definitely a no.
AF due Tuesday.

Sigh. Frustrated.

NotMaryWhitehouse · 02/11/2018 14:47

@CNizzle I'm sorry to hear about your dad, very stressful for you all

Peanut35 · 02/11/2018 16:20

PixieN · 03/11/2018 07:42

Just found an article on the benefits of maca powder if anyone is interested. Maybe we should all be sneaking it into our baking Wink

BambiOnIce80 · 03/11/2018 08:32

I'm so sorry you and your family are having to go through this @CNizzle. Thinking of you ❤️

Welcome @Peanut35 👋

Sorry for the BFN @NotMaryWhitehouse 😔

Thanks for the link @PixieN. I've been wanting to test drive my new oven with some baking, so why not slap some maca in there?! 🍰

Congrats on the ovulation peaks @Carley32 and @79andnotout! I'm still forgoing the OPK's, but I had what felt like ov pains yesterday (CD13 - bit early for me so not sure if they were or not 😕). Managed to DTD CD12 & this morning, so I hope we've covered our bases if the twinges were ovulation 🤞🏻 DP's definitely in a good holiday mood, so I think we'll manage it a few more times to really, really cover our bases (I usually ov CD15-16).

The WiFi in the Apennines is 'patchy' at best, so I'll check in when I can. Good luck to all you lovely ladies in the meantime.x

Hi ladies haven't been on here for a while and just caught up. Sorry about BFNs and AFs. And congratulations to BFPs.
I'm all booked for IUI next week. Finishing Clomid on Sunday and scan is on Monday. This will be my last IUI. I know we've been incredibly lucky with IUI and I've got my beautiful baby girl. Sadly second IUI ended up in MMC. Last IUI didn't work and yet to see how this IUI pans out. I'm already discussing IVF. And will either start in December or January, providing this IUI is unsuccessful. I'm the meantime lots of acupuncture and reflexology. And lots of supplements. I've added DHEA to my mix. As per doc's recommendation. And of course I'm staying positive

Peanut35 · 03/11/2018 12:02

I'm a poas addict only 2dpo but checking just incase i ovulated earlier 🤦🏻

Russkispy · 03/11/2018 12:41

@Peanut35 stay away from poas!

Peanut35 · 03/11/2018 13:19

@Russkispy i know i literally can't stop myself Sad

Russkispy · 03/11/2018 14:04

@Peanut35 I never knew about 2ww time till about 2 years ago when I was scheduled for my first IUI! I was 40 then. Always went by a couple of missed days of AF and only then was wondering what was happening to me. And I still do that now. I know the waiting is dragging and cruel at times, but we must stay strong

CNizzle · 03/11/2018 19:19

Thanks for all the messages ladies. Its been a really trying & very emotional couple of days. I really appreciate it.

AF arrived for me. Great timing with being stuck.in a hospital all day & night, but to be honest i dont give a sh**, my mind's all over the place. Dad has stabilised a bit, but we're looking at maybe moving him to the hospice for end of life care when he's "improved" enough to get out of ITU.
I do have the hycosy on 15th so i need to get back up to Scotland for that, but my family dont know about ttc etc, so i dont know if/how im gonna mention it.

@Russkispy fx for the IUI Flowers

PixieN · 03/11/2018 19:20

Word of warning. Do not add maca powder to your tea! Confused It tastes vile lol 😂

Maybe I will fare better adding it to pancakes tomorrow 🤔

PixieN · 03/11/2018 19:24

Cross post with you @CNizzle sorry for my daft post alongside yours. Glad your dad’s stabilised, but so sorry you’re going through this Sad Flowers It sounds like a very difficult time. Hope you’re looking after yourself x

CNizzle · 03/11/2018 19:34

@PixieN dont apologise, good to know about the Maca powder 🤣!! Think i added a little to yoghurt once or twice, wasnt too bad, bit a bit gritty!
