@mrsc87 oh no, don't let me crazy worries make you worry too. I think if you usually spot before your period then that's probably just normal for you and your cycle.

I was pondering whether I should be worried for a few reasons - the first being I have a really short luteal phase (8-9 days) which I think is a little abnormal, and I know hormones can have a role to play in that, and since I have PCOS which can affect your hormones, thought maybe there's a problem. Spotting being a sign of low progesterone is purely based on my Google searches so definitely don't take my word for it.
It could just be normal for me too.

But I like to Google everything and worry. Sorry if I've made you worry! If everything else for you is normal and regular I wouldn't worry at all xxx

Crossfitgirl · 16/09/2018 17:30

@mrsc87 this has a nice easy to read bit of info about progesterone (and other hormones) and why i was concerned

MrsC87 · 16/09/2018 17:33

Honestly you haven't made me worry @Crossfitgirl, I'm keen to just learn about these sorts of things and it's something I should consider if further down the line I've had no success in conceiving.
But yes it's a regular thing for me so maybe it's just normal for me. I think my luteal phase is normal as I'm regularly 28-29 days.
I'm also a fellow googler lol! Sometimes not the best thing to do! I'm sure many people would laugh at the random things I tap into google re TTC 🤣 xx

poodlepip · 16/09/2018 17:43

@Delilah7 oh sorry haha I am probably just confused too. I had read the only constant was the time between your ovulation and first day of period which is usually 14d so you can work it out when your expected to ovulate if your cycle is regular. But that doesn't really help does it!

I say just for it more DTD the better 👍

Delilah7 · 16/09/2018 17:46

@stormtrooperjulian @cupcakesandglitter

I have twinges in my back and tummy and usual EWCM ( none this month but it's common apparently after miscarriage ) I had twinges all yesterday... and a few this morning but I'd be more likely to say yesterday I maybe ovulated but I don't know. I know I'm in the right window now I think so that's all I really need to know and DTD around that! Xxx

@poodlepip I'm normally 28 day's etc but miscarriage has made this cycle abit weird!

FlapJackered · 16/09/2018 17:57

@cupcakesandglitter oh no, I do this ALL the time, you would have thought I would learn. Each time they turn up eventually. I even found a ring in the rice pot once 🙄
It will turn up, you won't have lost it, just try and keep it in mind when you're doing a tidy up/ moving house.

@Delilah7 if I were you I would count tomorrow as 1dpo. It is better you're late than too early for testing etc.

@poodlepip I know the recommended is 12dpo. I have done one at 10dpo before but found it stressful not knowing if the bfn was right or not. So this time I won't test until at least 13dpo. Some people just like to poas and aren't so upset by seeing a bfn so it depends how you feel about it.

@Crossfitgirl If I were you I would ask for tests even if it is just to reassure you about the luteal phase etc. How long is you luteal phase? I think anything from 9-16 is considered normal.

Delilah7 · 16/09/2018 18:06

@FlapJackered agreed hun! So 1dpo tomorrow yes? Xx

I also just out of the fun of it took my last amazon cheap pregnancy test, think this shows they have EVAP lines as I can see a line on that 😂😂

Bare in mind that first picture is after nearly 10 mins the second one was only a minute or so..

ValidUser · 16/09/2018 18:36

@Delilah7 I use those and have never had an evap like that. I'd try a FRER. X

Delilah7 · 16/09/2018 18:38

@ValidUser serious? I feel I've only just ovulated.... that couldn't be possible, surely? X

OP posts:
ValidUser · 16/09/2018 18:41

If you were it could be from last cycle, or maybe you ovulated earlier and didn't get an OPK?

Really worth a try. X

Delilah7 · 16/09/2018 18:44

@ValidUser I had a period though.... the line has defo faded and I can only see it from certain lights now which is why I think evap x x

OP posts:
ValidUser · 16/09/2018 18:49

Up to you. Just I'd certainly try! Your body can so funny things after a miscarriage.

Occasionally you can get a period in the first month of a pregnancy, if progesterone isn't high enough yet.

Or you could have ovulated right before AF, AF came and then you implanted.

Not common, but not unheard of.

sunshine1987 · 16/09/2018 18:49

@delilah7 what do they look like now without the pink dye as the background? x

Delilah7 · 16/09/2018 18:50

@ValidUser that is true! Well... I didn't expect that response 😂😂😂 I might try a cheap test and see what happens. I'm sure it'll be a negative but there's defo a line there, however it seems to have faded a lot now though which is why I'm obviously not worried 😂

OP posts:
Delilah7 · 16/09/2018 18:50

@sunshine1987 it looks pretty bare now, which is why I said Evap line x x

OP posts:
ValidUser · 16/09/2018 18:52

In fairness, an evap is entirely possible! Just worth considering.

sunshine1987 · 16/09/2018 18:53

@delilah7 I meant on the OPK not the HCG. What CD are you on today? xx

Delilah7 · 16/09/2018 18:53

See nothing now hun so I've got a bad batch! hahaha. Lucky it's my last one x
