Darling Ladies ... I wish us all luck on this new thread (especially me!) ... I hope that we have the same great amount of graduates that the last thread had!

So, group hug and let's get to it! Wooo Wooooo!!!!

Hi

I'm off on holiday today so feeling very good and hoping timing is right whilst we're away!

Miranda2 - I've read a lot about spotting etc. happening in early pregnancy at time when period would have been due - apparently it's quite common - hope this is the case for you and all is ok.

Hope to read about lots more BFPs on my return!

bluestar · 21/08/2004 15:38

piffle, my af every cycle includes a day of spotting where I think af is finally stopping but then I get another further day of af. You're not the only one - just wanted to reassure you! Good luck this month and to everyone else x

Twiga · 21/08/2004 16:09

Miranda2, hope you are ok and it's not bad news. Have had a quick chat with DH (is a DR) and his advice is to get an emergency appt with your GP first opportunity. GP will be able to do blood test for Bhcg, with a repeat test 48hours later - this will help determine if your baby is still growing or not. Also available might be an early scan depending on local maternity hospital services, this might be the best option as they are specialists - GP will refer you if this available and what you want. Sometimes you will have a small bleed around the time of your AF despite maintaining a normal pg. Urine tests may not become negative for up to a week after a mc so shouldn't be relied upon. Hope this is of some use - we're thinking of you x x

tex111 · 21/08/2004 18:54

Miranda2, try not to worry too much but I would follow Twiga's advice and see your GP. Otherwise you'll probably worry a lot more and if you get referred for a scan you might get a peek at your little bean! Hope it's all going well.

Sweetheart, how are you? Have you tested yet???

BeckiF, your weight loss is fantastic! Are you following Dr Gillian's plan quite strictly? I've just read the book and started taking acidopholis, spirilina and digestive enzymes from her recommendations. I'm also trying to eat more fresh fruit and veg but I haven't lost a pound yet. I'd love to hear how you're doing it.

Bibi20, have a great holiday and good luck!

Did my first OPK of the month here. No surge yet but I'm just CD9. I ovulated early last month though (CD11) and don't want to miss it. Maybe tomorrow...

Piffleoffagus · 21/08/2004 19:51

bluestar we were separated at birth LOL

bluestar · 22/08/2004 17:20

piffle, me & azure & futurity all had similar cycles too, then they went and left me!! Hopefully we can leave together!!

miranda2, hope you are ok.

AussieSim · 23/08/2004 04:48

I'm back online after my move back to Oz and still no sign of no.2, although to be honest the stress of moving rather lowered my motivation for the activity required for success. I think I joined on No.4 about 6mths or so ago.

Good Luck everyone.

sweetheart · 23/08/2004 09:37

Tex,

did a test on Friday - couldn't resist!!! A BFN

Then to top that AF arrived on Saturday

So thats another £10 wasted and another month of ttc!!!

I don't know why but I had convinced myself this was gonna be "the month". I had news of 2 other pregnancy's close to me so I guess I was hoping the "everything happens in 3's" rule would apply to me. Also I pin pointed my ovulation days this month which is unusual for me.
Also I had a good weight loss last week which made me feel positive AND I passed my exam's so it felt like everything was going my way!!!

Oh well, give it a couple of days and I'll be back on the case!!!

tex111 · 23/08/2004 09:43

Sweetheart, so sorry to hear that! I'm glad that AF at least arrived swiftly and didn't keep you waiting and guessing. Sounds like you've got some other positive things going and hopefully that will keep your spirits up. What kind of exams did you take? Best of luck this cycle!

CD10 here and still waiting for O. No positive OPK yet so DH is on standby.

sweetheart · 23/08/2004 09:52

tex,

I took some accounting exams - very pleased with myself for passing - trouble is now I have to decide if I go for the next year or take a year out (how many times have you heard yourself say "But i might be pregnant by then!!!!!"

Good luck with the ovulation, shouldn't be long now.

I think we should all keep our dh's locked in the bedroom naked so that they are ready and waiting whenever we say - but thats another thread all together!!!

sweetheart · 23/08/2004 09:53

Sorry, don't know where that wink came from!!!!

Cyndii · 23/08/2004 09:57

miranda 2 ~ hope all is well ~ we all feel for you ~ take twiga's advise

I had a great weekend and fingers crossed for a bfp this month ~ both dh & I are giving it our best shot!!!

Piffleoffagus · 23/08/2004 10:45

WEll a bit more hopeful here, bloody AF did a complete weird on me, came back after stopping, came back heavy for two days and has now gone again.
Extremely weird...
Still am charting nicely and will be giving the rabbits a run for their money this month
DH will be thrilled, best get on the ginseng here then..
hi ho!

miranda2 · 23/08/2004 10:51

I've been to the doctor this morning with my urine sample so they can confirm the pregnancy (I've moved since last time, when they said there was no point as the home tests were perfectly good...), so now they won't do anything until they get their official results back tomorrow. No more bleeding though, so i'm cautiously optimistic. No symptoms either mind you, but then I didn't have last time. When they get the results back I'll see a doctor, but I don't think they'll scan as it would only be 5 weeks. I believe Newcastle don't do early scans as a matter of policy(ie, only the 20 week one), so I'm hoping they will do one in my case at 6 or 8 weeks for reassurance. My temps are still high, so fingers crossed (hands together)!

BeckiF · 23/08/2004 11:09

Hi ladies ... Well I'm another 2lbs down on the diet! To answer those of you who wonder how I'm doing it, well I have a lot of weight to lose to start with. But I am also eating loads and loads of fresh fruit and raw veg (not together though!) and drinking at least 2 litres of fluid a day. I am also trying the things you wouldn't normaly look at! Quinoa porridge, I have stopped using cows milk and use Soya milk instead, have cust out bread and white rice and don't really eat much brown rice. I feel fab!!

Gynae towmorrow so I'm going to ask for Clomid...I know we have IVF waiting but I just want to give it a go .. well that is WE want to! Mind you, just had the most fantastic weekend of bd all the time! Insatiable is not the word for my dp!!! So maybe we've struck lucky (although I doubt it!!)

Happy Monday

beachyhead · 23/08/2004 11:10

well due on Sat, so did a test on Friday BFN, so no showing on Sat or Sun so tested again on Sun and BFN and still no show today. So what's happening here!!!!So if no show by Thursday or so, will test again. All very odd

Cyndii · 23/08/2004 12:26

Best of luck Miranda2 ~ all hopeful for you.

beachyhead ~ sounds pretty positive to me or would have had late af and not be pregnant before?? Good luck hope it proves positive for you!! Hope you have a good supply of tests at hand!!

Fingers crossed for you both

beachyhead · 23/08/2004 13:33

How could it be that the tests say negative and still not got period. So many people on here seem to test so early and they get a result, so surely I would have got some sort of result on the day after I was due? Am normally regular as clokwork, but things can change I guess..... Will wait till Thursday and think again...

Cyndii · 23/08/2004 13:38

beachyhead ~ fingers crossed for Thursday but sometimes you can get a negative and be pregnant! Is this your first pregnancy?

katierocket · 23/08/2004 13:49

hi all - well I'm on CD5 and am now coming out of the AF gloom and moving into the hope era again. Although I am away for the night on CD13 (cycle is 28 days) how annoying is that?! Sometimes it just feels like it's never going to happen doesn't it

Azure · 23/08/2004 13:51

Beachyhead, when I was pregnant with DS I didn't get a positive until a week after AF was due. It can just take a long time sometimes. Best of luck!

sweetheart · 23/08/2004 13:52

kr,

keep your chin up - you never know this month could be the one for all of us

beachyhead · 23/08/2004 13:54

No, had four pregnancies two kids and two m/c's. So I'll try to forget about it till Thursday. What I can't stand is I feel so fat already!!!!! (and I mean anyway, not just in the last week)

Fonzie · 23/08/2004 13:54

Hi Beachyhead, I didn't get a positive result with either of the test I bought and as a result didn't find out til I was 17 weeks pg! Lots of other things going on at the time though so that was my excuse. As usual, everybody's different

Mirage · 23/08/2004 14:35

Beachyhead,I got a negative test after AF was 1 day late when I was pg with dd.I didn't get a positive test until a week later.

GOOD LUCK
