Darling Ladies ... I wish us all luck on this new thread (especially me!) ... I hope that we have the same great amount of graduates that the last thread had!

So, group hug and let's get to it! Wooo Wooooo!!!!

Eek I posted it!

sweetheart · 01/09/2004 14:10

mudd,

fingers crossed for you. I would be cautious though as if there is one thing i've learnt from ttc for the last 8 months it's that if you want it bad enough you can fool yourself into thinking the symptoms are there when there not.

I was certain I was successful last month.

If you're sure your not gonna test till after your ds's birthday then try and put it out of you mind (easier said than done I know)

Good luck

muddaofsuburbia · 01/09/2004 15:00

Exactly what i was worried about SH - thanks :) will avoid this thread til next week now!!

MINNIE1 · 01/09/2004 15:04

muddaofsuburbia,
Wishing you the best of luck, you'll be kept busy with the party.

HI, had horrendous stomach cramps last night that woke me up. It was either the frozen lasagne, two bars of aero (yes the diet IS suffereing) or AF is on her way. Feeling sick to the pit of my stomach today, and extremely emotional. Still in shock over losing our pony. I'll keep you posted.

cab · 01/09/2004 23:18

ebbie - looking forward to seeing you over on the May thread. (Just two of us so far so we could do with some company). Go and buy a test!!

A note for Tex: Wasn't sure where to put this. Went off MN for ages. Was sorry to see you on here. Looks like you're coping fine, but just wanted to say I am very sorry about the miscarriage. Any chance you might make it onto the May thread? I can't quite work out your dates but keeping my fingers crossed for you regardless.

Tania2 · 02/09/2004 05:39

mudda ~ hope you are pg but just a little warning like sweetheart wrote your body can play cruel tricks on you when you want it bad enough. just read down a little to see what i had went through. DH and i were convinced that i was pg just turned out to be a stomach bug how ironic that i just happen to get sick just b4 af due. ttc is a bitch....

ChaCha · 02/09/2004 08:51

Good morning everyone and a big hellloooo to all the newbies! (I am an oldie).
Back for a while, CD25, took a break from mumsnet to concentrate on NOT TTC. Back in action hopefully soon, TTC can be so emotional. Good luck to all those waiting to test.
Am around x

tex111 · 02/09/2004 08:55

Morning ladies!

Cab, thanks very much. That's means a lot to me. I'm 6dpo today and I would love to make it to May thread. I would be due 20 May, which would be nice since there are no other May or June birthdays in our family. How are you doing? I'll pop over to your Due in May thread and say hello.

This discussion about the body being able to play mean tricks is so true with me too. I'm in that phase of the cycle where everything is 'a sign'. Last night DH held my hand and then dropped it as if it had burned him. He said he hadn't felt my hands so warm since I was pregnant with DS and it shocked him. I'm trying very hard not to get excited but, at the same time, don't want to miss out on the big build up. Just trying to keep in all in balance (and doing a terrible job of it ).

Sorry to hear about all the AFs. Tania2, sounds like this was a particularly hard month. Hope you're doing something nice for yourself. If AF arrives this month I've already picked out the jacket that will be my little treat.

Ebbie, good luck to you! We need a BFP!

Mudda, hope you get your BFP! Hope the party goes well. DS's party was a few weeks ago and it was great but exhausting. It'll definitely keep you busy.

Piffle, what's going on with you?? Have you done another test? Wow, can't wait to hear the results. Don't keep us in suspense!!

Hello to everyone else!

BeckiF · 02/09/2004 09:33

Morning ladies - interesting to read the post about being hot. DP says that I am like a radiator at the moment, and I feel uncomfortably hot myself. Mind you it's like the ugly sisters trying to make the glass slipper fit. In my head I've got that I was at a fertile stage over the same time as the upset with the pony and therefore we didn't bd and I've missed the boat. We were only discussing the other week that we seem to miss out at the times when I have ovulated due to me being narky, so maybe that's a sign of hormones. Makes me think that we should bd even when I'm in a bad mood.

I did do a test last weekend which was bfn but you never know, I'll give it another week.

Hi everyone - just saying good morning and good luck to all.

Pamina - so sorry you're low . Fingers crossed for you that you get some good news soon.

How is it going, Piffle?

cab · 02/09/2004 10:00

Sorry about the AF Ebbie. And very sorry you're having a bad time Pamina - it can take a long time to get over a miscarriage as I well know.

For everyone still ttc: Just remembered watching a programme a few years back that said if you go away for a few days the fish try a bit harder cos they feel under threat (even if your husband totally trusts you).
It seems to have worked for me this month although it wasn't deliberate and should have been too early in the month to conceive.

Piffleoffagus · 02/09/2004 10:44

Hope everyone is ok, sorry about AF's and BFN that keeps appearing on here for most of us!
I have not retested, as we are moving house 300 miles tomorrow, it would just do my head in, how would I focus or concentrate!
So I will be offline until at least middle of next week, but will test thena dn letyou all know if retest shows positive!!!
Love
piff

Hi girls, sorry I haven't been around but I have been ill in bed with a virus

BeckiF so sorry to hear about your pony (((((((((hugs))))))))))))

Twiga thanks babe we did have a nice anniversary and DH is a sweetie, he pampered me, even though I felt like poo!

Tania2 sorry to hear that you also got your AF, sprinklings of baby dust for us next month eh hun xxx

Pamina3 my thoughts are with you. I lost my baby on 6th July at 6 weeks so I know how you are feeling xxx

My AF was weird this month. I spotted on Friday 27th and stopped until 29th and only came on heavy for the Monday and Tuesday and completely stopped yesterday. I have had this virus but the virus has made me feel really sick and dizzy with hot flushes and a horrid metallic taste in my mouth. I now know what you girls are saying about your bodies playing tricks on you, because if I hadn't had the bleeding I would have said i was pregnant

Here's to next month of ttc xxx

Morgan · 02/09/2004 21:45

Hi all. Haven't posted for a while but need to vent some frustration. On CD1 today which i knew about as no bd last month as dh had an op and was out of action. I was all keyed up to start taking cloimid this month i.e tomorrow but he is not recovering as well as expected and there is no point as he doesn't think he will be up to anything this month. I am so cross as been ttc no2 for two years now. Also i don't want a July/Aug baby really so will have to wait until Dec. really. We planned this with no 1 so it seems unfair not to with no 2. I just don't know if i can go another three months without at least trying harder to conceive. I keep seeing pg women everywhere at the mo and am not coping well with it. Sorry to rant but there is nowhere else to go to talk about this as all you ladies know so well. Thanks for taking the time to read this and good luck to all those approaching BD time.

runtus · 03/09/2004 08:22

Morgan - sorry to hear yo're not having a good time of it, sometimes the timing just isn't right. Doesn't it really matter that much when the baby is conceived? If you are having a hard time of it I would suggest just going for it when your dh is feeling better. What will happen if you don't fall pg in the 'right' timeframe, would you wait all over again?

I'm on cd5 and just can't wait for af to sod off now! Went out for a few drinkies last night and ended up totally hammered, needless to say I feel like poo now and just want to go back to bed!

sweetheart · 03/09/2004 08:39

I have every sympathy for you runtus. I went out for drinks with the girls last night aswell and I'm knackered this morning - serves me right for going out on the piss instead of bd with dh I suppose.

I don't know why we make our drink night a Thur when Fri is my earliest start of the week?!?!? Will I never learn!!!!

Bibi20 · 03/09/2004 08:52

I with you on the Thursday night with the girls thing... was supposed to be home before 10 in order to get on with 13th day in a row of bd'ing but surprise surprise, few to many drinkies and I was back a wee bit later. Luckily very sweet dh was waiting up...

Took my temp this morning - prob not helpful as haven't taken it at all this month but I know my usual post O temps and yes, it's gone right up phew.

Despite all the bd'ing for some reason I just don't feel like it's going to happen this month - but watch this space, I'll be obsessed by this time next week. Can't remember who posted about squeezing boobs to see if they hurt yet, but I'm one of those too!

Bibi20 · 03/09/2004 08:56

p.s. BeckiF - so sorry to read about your pony. I can't imagine how devastated you must be.

Not the same, but I got bitten by a dog this week and was so distressed - not so much from the pain, but because I've had dogs all my life and thought I understood them. Obviously not.
