Darling Ladies ... I wish us all luck on this new thread (especially me!) ... I hope that we have the same great amount of graduates that the last thread had!

So, group hug and let's get to it! Wooo Wooooo!!!!

sorry , I am not using Persona, I am using First Response test sticks.

cab · 28/08/2004 20:57

Minnie1 - looks like the answer to your question (re is it possible to get pregnant 9 days after AF arrives) is YES. I'm on a 28 day cycle and AF not due until Monday but been testing positive for a week.
Have started the Due May 2005 thread - naughty I know. Here's some baby dust - hoping for some company soon!!! (p.s. I've got one 4 yr old and since then just a miscarriage at 12 weeks and at least a few very early miscarriages, but will do my best to stick around the due May thread!!)

hester · 29/08/2004 13:18

Cori - yes, CM is a sign that you are coming up to ovulation. It is normal to get it before you ovulate. For me (don't know how normal it is) it is usually three days before i get the two lines.

There are other signs that you are about to ovulate (changes in cervix etc) but CM is the easiest to spot. Have you read 'Taking charge of your fertility' by Toni Weschler? It is very, very good on understanding all this.

LucieB · 29/08/2004 14:08

Cori
I am also using persona and had egg-white CM on day 9 but no 'o' signs. Have just reached CD 19 and have that magical 'o' sign so made dh engage in some action this morning!!! Had CM and some tummy pains yesterday so am guessing that the CM at day 9 was just a red herring so to speak!

Feeling really poo today this is my 2nd period since my miscarriage and today I have horrible cramps and very heavy AF.

Just a horrid reminder of everything that has happened and also that we haven't conceived this month.

Does anyone else feelthe same xxx

tex111 · 29/08/2004 20:15

Hi Cobweb, I know just how you feel. The second AF was tough for me too. Mine was heavier and more uncomfortable than the first one after m/c and, of course, I was really hoping that I was pregnant again anyway. I'm CD15 now and it feels better to be into the 'trying' phase of the cycle and have something else to focus on.

I recommend a family size box of Celebrations choccies (Topics and Snickers work wonders ). Hope you're feeling better soon. I guess the sadness is just something we have to go through. Totally sucks though.

Cobweb · 29/08/2004 20:37

Thanks Tex111

I have had a nice bath and DH got us a takeaway to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary

Just wish that the Af wasn't a constant reminder of the m/c but yes I guess you are right in saying that we have to go throught it xxx

Sending DH off now to get the chocs that you recommened. Thanks hun xxx

Canadianmom · 29/08/2004 20:49

Cobweb, I am now waiting for second AF following my miscarriage and the wait alone is killing me. I do agree with Tex that the sadness is something that we need to work through. I hope that this is your month. Happy Anniversary.

Tex good luck! Baby dust sprinkled liberally in your direction: ++++++++++++

Fonzie · 30/08/2004 08:27

Morning All, and hope your weekends were ok. AF arrived yesterday and just when I was building up to buying yet another test! Ah well, at least I saved some pennies! Went to the beach with DH and DS and had a huge ice cream before my tennis lesson where I've probably run it all off. DH was as disappointed as I was but we are determined not to give up.

MINNIE1 · 30/08/2004 08:38

Thank you Cab, i'll have to wait and see bbs...

hester · 30/08/2004 09:26

So sorry that things haven't worked out for you this month, Cobweb and Fonzie .

I know just how you're feeling - and I've just had Maltesers for breakfast .

Canadianmom - fingers crossed for you.

Twiga · 30/08/2004 19:27

Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend.

Runtus, glad you had a good holiday in Egypt. How was the wedding on Sunday? what was your dress like?

Cobweb, I'm sorry that you're not pg , hope you're not feeling so sore today {{{{hugs}}}}. Sounds like dh was a real sweetie, happy anniversary!

Fonzie, good to see you keeping positive. did you're shoppping trip go well?

Tex111 and Canadianmom, hope this month works out for you both and you're not feeling too anxious or sad.

Our friends had their baby yesterday, a healthy wee boy, about 10 days or so early, but all doing well. His photo was crinkly but cute!

Hang on in there folks! x

tex111 · 30/08/2004 20:53

Finally got a temp rise so now the obsessing begins. Am I pregnant? Are those pains signs of implantation? Are my BBs sore... and are they sore just because I keep squeezing them to see if they're sore?? Oh, good Lord.

Cobweb, hope you're feeling better today.

Hi Canadianmom, good to see you!

Runtus, good to have you back.

Twiga, I think we're on the same CD. Have you Oed yet? I had a funny month. The OPKs and my temps and cm didn't seem to add up so we just kept BDing. I think we did our best so now we'll just wait and see. Hope you're doing well.

Twiga · 30/08/2004 21:24

Hey Tex111 , I'm fine still a bit up and down, but like you were saying it's something we've just got to work through. I guess I probbly have ovulated - fertile days were meant to be between the 26th and 29th - have done our bit, so we'll see. have got myself half convinced that I could be pg, realistcally far too early to know though - just wishful thinking, will have to wait and see.

Is it a fairly common experience for second Af after mc to be worse than the first? - felt sick and crampy with the last af (first after mc) but it wasn't too much heavier than usual. Not looking fwd to this one if that's the case - yuk!

Tania2 · 31/08/2004 06:51

Hi all,
Sorry to those who af arrived hopefully next month it will happen.
Is anyone waiting for af to arrive. Iam due on friday. Been feeling quite sick this week have headaches cant look at food (not like me at all) struggled to cook dinner last night and eat it was a challenge (defentaly not like me) Iam really feeling different this month having spotting as usual but its a very dark brown. Actually iam feeling very much the same as i did when pg with ds. but keep telling myself that my body is playing a cruel trick on me. DH away until Friday so that should keep me from testing!! i think!!!

runtus · 31/08/2004 08:39

Morning all - am I allowed to say I'm glad to be back at work, if only so I can log in and say hello to everyone! Sad I know........

Hi Twiga, wedding was fab thanks. Brides dad got totally hammered and kept the bar free all night, so you can imagine the state we were all in by midnight. We dod have a few hiccupsa long the way (including me forgetting to take my shoes, and Dh forgetting to bring any cufflinks) but all worked out ok in the end! I had a cream suit with a silk top rather than a dress, as she had about 8 bridesmaids including her 18mnth old daughter. Decided us oldies shoud opt out of the big dress thing......

Think I had some spotting on Sunday night after all the wedding excitement but a bit tricky to tell, quite embarassing really as my dh told me he thought I had come on after we bd . He was 'cleaning up' afterwards (IYKWIM) and thought he saw some blood but I've had nothing since. Bit of back ache yesterday evening but apart from that all clear. I'm assuming it must be an early show of spotting like last month......oh well.

Got my review at work coming up soon and I've decided to go for an increased maternity package, as at the moment I would only get SMP. Anyone else done that?

sweetheart · 31/08/2004 10:12

Morning to you all,

Had the whole weekend off so loads of catching up for me this morning.

Hugs to all of you who have had FA or waiting for it. Fingers crossed for those of you waiting to test.

I'm cd 10 at the moment and just feeling relieved. We haven't bd since my af finished and I'm feeling quite relaxed instead of spending every min wondering if I'm pg.

My fertile days start this week though (I think!?!?!) so it's time to get down to that every other night bd!!! Not sure I'm up to it but I'll give it a go.

Have a good week everyone Oh and ps to Tex111 - the celebrations sound good but I REALLY fancy trying those new Flake choc's that have been advertised on Coronation Street - IFKWIM!!!!! YUUUMMMMYYYYYYYYYYY

Cyndii · 31/08/2004 10:34

BeckiF · 31/08/2004 11:16

Hi - I have been off line for a while as last week my mini pony was attacked by my own dogs and we had to have the angel put to sleep on Sunday. For that reason bd has been lacking although we managed in Tuesday and Friday I think. Did a test at the weekend and got the usual bfn.

Well af turned up this morning, early again, so I don't know what's going on there. I'm very confused. I'm going to start charting - I've set up my TCOYF software and ordered a basal thermometer. Any tips?

BeckiF - so sorry to hear about your horse, what a sad thing. Take care.
