Scorpio did you see my post a little lower down? Whats this about you being "in the same position"?????

nomoremagnolia · 16/05/2007 17:49

Wanted to pop in and say....

Congrats Seaside!!

feedmenow · 16/05/2007 20:14

OK, Scorpio, am up to date now I think. I'm not going to say any more til you make a proper BIG announcement!
You'll be pleased to know that I now have a chart! I have back filled it as best I can but have missed loads of days since my last period. Therefore, I don't think I'll post it for all to see until I have a bit more to show on it!

fettleandminifettle · 16/05/2007 20:36

Seaside - what fantastic news!. So so pleased for you!! Must have been the spell, although I have to say I found increasing lubrication with grapefruit juice was the only major difference we made when I finally conceived again!

Are you going to call it Hebridie, then??

Cramps are totally normal - I had them on and off up and until 12 weeks - still have them occasionally TBH.

Enjoy these amazing few days while you get used to the idea - Greedy is right, not much rush to do anything at this stage. I'd get booked in at your GP as soon as you feel ready, just to get you in the system, but you probably won't see midwife until nearly 10-12 weeks.

Congratulations - Again!!!

Hello everyone else!!

fettleandminifettle · 16/05/2007 20:37

That was drinking grapefruit juice by the way, not actually using it for extra lubrication - that would have just been silly [and sticky!!!]

seaside72 · 16/05/2007 21:13

LOL fettle! thanks so much for your message will be picking all you TTC garduates brains frequently I am sure

Scorpio - thank you! BTW if you were to get a bfp and mine sticks and is all good I have a feeling we may see each other in the labour ward at Treliske?!!

Feeling a bit about the major thread hijack and me me me bias- let's have some temping talk everyone!!!

But am also so very privileged to have had such lovely support and messages from everyone especially as I feel fit to burst with the news but we are not telling anyone in RL yet (except my parents - in fact just told them a few hours ago and Dad cried!!! ahhh )

Good morning all.

HUGE congratulations to seaside . Fingers crossed that all goes well.

How are you feeling today rahrah? I have pretty much convinced myself that this month is not going to be the one. Sore boobs have not come back, cm is maybe drying up a bit. I can't symptom spot, because I have no symtoms! I just want to get this 2ww out of the way so that I can start again.

Ready I find it much more relaxing to not temp. I did 2 cycles were I temped all the way through. Once I got a temp drop before af started and once I got a temp drop the day after af came. Once I had an implantation dip that turned out to be nothing. Therefore I decided that temping during the 2ww did not tell me anything. Do you not find that when you are temping you sleep less well? I find myself waking up frequently thinking it's time to temp, then I lie in bed, unable to sleep, thinking that if I don't go back to sleep my temp will be unreliable. Maybe I'm just going mad? I'm thinking of having a month off temping next month and just going on cm alone as that seems to be fairly reliable for me.

Now that the pregnancy panda is finally here, do you think we should tie her down so she cannot get away again?

Morning. Am feeling strangely ambivalent today. Just biding my time and getting through the next few days. I'll then have more energy to really start tormenting myself at the weekend.

Rah and Jess, sorry to hear you are feeling this is not your month.
Minxi - I haven't seen your chart but that seems like a high pre-ov temp, so maybe you have (sorry if I have missed something there).
Seaside - how are you feeling today?!!
MrsMcJ - and you too?
You both have to stick around as the preg. panda obviously likes you and we need her here!
Duchesse - how are you today? Have you decided on a plan?

Big hello to everyone else

Chuffed to bits for you seaside

Look after yourself, you may feel a bit neglected healthcare-wise as no-one is much interested in you until you're around 10 weeks. Just sit back and wait for the morning sickness now .

Jess, I totally agree with you about not sleeping well when temping. I only start now on around CD10 then stop when I confirm OV.

Hi all sorry been a bit busy, but have been reading and getting v excitied for seaside and then this morning I read the FANTASMAGORICAL news that

THE PREGNANCY PANDA STRIKES AGAIN

seaside I am so so so pleased for you girl. Just chill there is very little to do at this stage but make sure you eat breakfast, and get lots of sleep if you can as that really helps reduce morning sickness. Hope you don't get too much. I think it has improved round here now, but last year you didn't see a midwife til 12weeks and no scan until 20 weeks if you were under35! 12 weeks scans have now been introduced thankfully!! Look after yourself and don't be suprised if you feel hotter than normal. Cell division is quite a power house! Sorry I am waffling AGAIN...

jess/rah sorry to hear you guys are feeling low I have tea wagon on standby!

fettle I did wonder about that grapejuice comment thanks for clarifying as all I could think of was "that must sting"

As for me well according to FF I ov'd sunday, but I don't really agree and think and hope it was friday eve/sat or else we probably did not manage enough BD (OK got to ask what BD actually stands for. It think it should be BU as in bump uglies . Having said that, I am trying to stop the little voice in my head - yes you all know the one I mean- that is saying "this is your month, honest". Mainly because my normal post OV temp has only been 36.49 for last 6 mths - BUT this month it is 36.75 ish.

I am dashing around today packing famileis stuff as we are flying to Malta tomorrow to visit many relatives (with ds in plaster - can I get a t-shirt with "I did not beat my child" please) So will be off radar til next thursday. Am not taking thermo, as if it is like last month AF will have started - if not will have to wait and see. at least it will be sunny!

my goodness I have waffled on- anyone still awake????????

love to all and MrsMcJ did I miss it, but how did trip to docs go? Lots of food and sleep for you too Mrs.

beansprout · 17/05/2007 11:21

Question, following on from Nappy's post - is a high post ov temp a good thing? I know it increases but is it a case of the higher the better (within your own range of course).

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/05/2007 12:52

not sure about that beany, although if your chart goes triphasic then that can be a good sign. probably any chnge from the norm is a good sign...........i remember seaside said her post ov temps were actually lower than normal this month and its the only month she has been pg! so any change is prob good, although i have temped with all my pgs and my post ov temps are always consistent, whether i am pg or not.........so i guess you just never know!

beansprout · 17/05/2007 14:00

Thanks for that. What does triphasic mean though (other than there being 3 phases )?

honeyapple · 17/05/2007 15:55

Congratulations SEASIDE!!!!

Wow... things are hotting up for the temp buddies! That horrible drought is well and truely gone. .

So- who will be next?

Lots of love as always

xx

MrsMcJnr · 17/05/2007 16:10

Ladies never managed to get on the PC last night and tonight will be the same! No chance of catching up so I?d better just start from here! Can anyone give me a brief summary of key events this week? I know about Seaside

Fingers crossed for all those waiting I haven?t left you, I just can?t keep up at the mo, work is busy and in the evenings I am knackered.

I am still temping but I?m not sure I?ll do it for much longer as it is stressful after a BFP I think, if it drops at all you start to panic ? we?ll see.

Sorry if I didn?t come and tell you what happened on Monday I did mean too. Basically, I did the right thing taking the aspirin and was told to continue with that. I need to have a scan to ensure the pregnancy is in the right place before I start the meds (as they are V dangerous to me if pregnancy is ectopic). As I was only 4+6 then they refused to scan me so I have to go back on Monday for a scan, blood tests and injection lessons. I?ll only be 5+6 so think the best I?ll see is a gestational sac with a yolk in it but no fetal pole of heartbeat. I know the purpose of the scan is to assess position not viability but I hope I can persuade them to bring me in again in a few weeks time to reassure me that things are as they should be. Apparently I?ll need to have weekly appointments to check how I am doing on the meds ? its all a bit scary and I am just taking each day as it comes

I?ve missed you all

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/05/2007 17:07

beany - triphasic does mean 3 phases, so first phase is low temps pre ov, then higher temps post ov, and then some people get a third increase which can be a sign of implantation. so sometimes a triphasic chart can be a bit of a clue that you might be pg (look at seaside and mrs' charts cos i think they are both triphasic!) BUT equally you can get triphasic charts and not be pg!

scorpio1 · 17/05/2007 18:08

seaside-that would be funny!

beansprout · 17/05/2007 18:26

Thanks greedy!

NappyValley · 17/05/2007 21:26

yes thank greedy - I love to learn something new.

Just a lottle sotry ot share for those still feeling the drought...
Went to farm yesterday with neighbour who has a girl slightly older than my "the one armed bandit".

I never realised til we were chatting in the car that pregnancy was an issue for her (number 2 about to drop immiently). They were trying for 3 years and had 4 miscarriages (always around 8 wks) then tried clomid. Luckily she had no nasty side affects and hey presto successful delivery and then no 2 has happend by accident!!

My point is that I would never have guessed they had been through such an ordeal and although you never forget that feeling of TTC and constantly being aware of your cycle, no matter how hard you try and relax, once you get to the end of the journey, all the current emotional roller coaster just fades in to the background.

MrsMcJ thanks for the update. Isn't it funny how the most tiring and debiliating part of being pregnant is actually the first 12 weeks, when you don't really want poeple to know!!

Right off to bed. Flight is early morning, but can't wait.

Temp happy gals.

p.s. Seaside - you can stop temping now you have earned a rest plus as you said it could add unnecessary anxiety. Relax and enjoy.

mum03 · 17/05/2007 21:33

Hi everyone - good to see some old faithful support gang here too. I just wanted to remind you that I will be away from the computer until at least monday as my parents are coming to visit, and since I rarely see them, I will be avoiding time on mn totally. Please don't feel I am neglecting you, and I will be thinking of you all, especially Rah and Minxi as they come to the end of their 2ww, (and possibly nice surprises?).

MrsMc - glad to read that you are getting stronger positives, very reassuring.

Seaside - good to hear that you also have had strong positives. Hope you are enjoying the shock of it all.

Ready - {{{{hugs}}}}

to everyone else too. See you on monday hopefully.

Good morning ladies!

Wow your temp is high this morning Minxi. I've never yet had a temp above 36.8 and it's rarely above 36.4! Do you think you OVd on CD17?

How are you this morning rahrah? I am feeling slightly more positive, as there are lots of people who get no symptoms before a BFP. So I shouldn't really write off this cycle before af arrives, which will probably be Monday or Tuesday.

Have a nice weekend with your families nappyvalley and mum03. I'll probably keep away from MN this weekend. I need to try and forget about the 2WW (if that's possible).

Will catch up on Monday.
