New thread...

Excellent news MrsMcJnr, how lovely to see your little one waving for the first time. Such a special time. (hope you waved back). I cried at every scan, so don't worry about that! I'm sure everything will be OK with the results.

GHD's are hair straighteners NappyValley

Got to go out but will be taking the advise given and reach for the largest bar of chocolate in the shop and wallow in my own self pity for the next couple of days... and take pity in those that cross my path in that time!

Minxi , hope you are wrong! But I just know mines coming too.... when you know you know! GRRRRRR

seaside72 · 12/07/2007 12:47

Hi temping buddies - I have been offline for 3 weeks but now I am back home now and just wanted to pop in and check on you all. I have been thinking about you all and was hoping I might come back to an abandoned thread after a record spontaneous BFP fest

The TTC graduates are all lovely but I would like to see some more of you coming to join us - we must be just about due for another flurry of BFP's surely? - get that Pregnancy Panda back again!

Hopefully MrsMc and I and other grads can give a bit of hope. I had my first scan this week and it was amazing. I honestly had begun to believe it may never happen for me and if you had told me in March that I would be seeing that dancing baby on the screen in July I wouldn't have believed you. But it has happened and it will for you too.

I am sending you all positive vibes and big {{{{{hugs}}}} stay strong and keep at it

xxxxxxxx

Hello Girls

Sorry but have been too rushed to 'speak' much over the last few days but have now had a chance to read back through the thread and catch up a little on who?s who and what?s happening. My temp has just crashed through the floor and AF started last night - on the upside I suppose I now know my LP!

Rah - I am really sorry to read about your m/c but really hope all goes brilliantly for you when you start the IUI . Also sorry about the unwelcome AF due at the weekend - Minxi and Nappy too. Hope you are all wrong. I shall be joining you with the bar of choc (perhaps a glass of wine too!) - hope it helps.

Gracie - I definitely agree that you should fib to the doc and pretend you have been trying for over a year. (Assuming last pill prescription fits with that). They have no way of checking! Slightly embarrassed to say that I have fibbed in the past to get tests before we had even started trying. DH was very reluctant and couldn't be persuaded and I was worried about time ticking away so thought I would like some tests to see how my fertility was looking - told doc we had been trying for 6 months and was sent for tests without too many questions. (Only slightly tricky moment was when doc suggested DH had a sperm test which only encouraged further fibbing!). Showed all to be relatively OK but it was good to know that rather than be worrying otherwise . In the meantime you can carry on temping too.

Nomore - I have a friend who got on really well with Clomid and is now 5 months pregnant. No twins though despite daydreaming ! I have been using OPK for last three cycles and then only started temping last cycle. OPK was certainly much easier (and less of an interruption to weekend lie-ins!) and good for cross-checking with temp chart but expensive and doesn?t have a great reputation for accuracy ? they can give false ?ves and so you risk the chance of missing ov. Personally I feel much more on top of things now I am temping (might re-think though after a few more cycles of it!)

Congratulations MrsMc it must be incredible to see your baby moving around. I like reading your missives ? reminds me there is a point to all this!

Hope everyone else is very well. For those looking to increase LP - have you tried Agnus Castus which can help to regulate/lengthen a short cycle and increase progesterone/lower FSH......

Sorry to drivel on!

NappyValley · 12/07/2007 13:48

Seaside - I was just thinking of you the other day!! Glad to hear all is going well.

MrsMcJ - we promise to be nice to all our new tempies. Thank you for sending them over, it was getting a little lonely round here with people getting pregnant (hooray) or needing a break . But now we are a considerable number, and ready for our next flurry of BFPs as you say.

Great to hear scans have gone well.I cried too. I only had a 20wk scan so am looking forward to getting a 12wk one this time

Rah go and find some useless numpty and rant at them. I always find that helps. GHD - oh I know what you mean now, sorry I am such a useless tomboy.

Anyone in need of a chuckle check out latest pic of DS dressed up in rain gear while at inlaws with chickenpox!! This is why we persevere cos kids are just so darn amusing!

seaside so very happy for you ... I know I have been there but 2.8 years trying for this one I am not feeling too positive,..... af lurking - and dh away in america for the last week I just want hinm home to cry on his shoulder instead I have my brother here and his 18month old son and all the mess that brings and for some reason brothers don't clear up ANY mess (who doesn;t know what I am going through) have also had to go and see my step sister today with her 3 month old twins and I feel rubbish so af definitly on her way!! But happy for all those who are at their 12 weeks just wish I was a third of the way through too..!

Rainbowdays · 12/07/2007 20:11

Hi and welcome zammummy, I saw you on the ttc after mc board, but I have not really started posting there yet. Still not really sure what to expect this month, but since I m/c so early I am guessing things won't be too off track for me? Hope you find temping helpful.

Rah - ok I am here to rant for you, I hope it brings a snigger if not a smile!

I am so pee'd off, in many ways. Firstly I think I might have a urine infection, only had one after the epidural with ds, but got all the symptoms, including wanting to sit on the loo all day every minute.... arggg.

Then just as dh is away for most of this week anyway I am getting my ewcm now, so much that, I could not even be bothered to temp this morning as even if I do get a low temp today I am fairly sure it will go up in the next few days, while dh is still away.... oh well they do say you should leave a month before tcc after m/c! So perhaps I have been forced to be sensible???? If that is possible. Perhaps I will feel less appathetic tomorrow and actually temp??? Maybe???

Blueberry - that you are back up the top of the list, but now at least you know your lp as you said.

Hi to everyone else.

Thinking · 12/07/2007 23:12

Well, looking at my temps I am pretty sure FF will give me lines tomorrow, making ovualtion on the 10th but I'm sure it hasn't happened yet...as CM is not right and I have been doing OPK tests twice a day and over the last 7 days all 14 tests have faint lines.ie.Negatives.

If the signs differ as for when you could of ovualated, would you go with temps or OPK's or CM or a combination of these ?

Oh yes after a very rubbish nights sleep I awoke to the joys of AF. Gone thru all emotions and a few tears this morniing. Got it together now and I know I have no right to be so angry/frustrated, when some of you are trying for your first. So I really apologise as I am sure some of you feel that way, and that is fine I love you all and totally get that.

Minxi/Rah - I have heard of people who live together synchronising their cycles, but is this a new "temping together" sychronisation?? maybe that means we will all get lucky next cycle.

Another blood test for me on monday then (CD2-4).

Sorry about your temp drop Minxi

Thinking - I would go with a combo of temp, CM and OPK - never sure OPK are that reliable on their own and CM is usually a good indicator of whats going on. See what temps do tmrw - mine always go up and down a lot before they finally stay up which foxes FF and makes it hedge its bets a little

Rainbow Days - hope you are feeling a little more chipper today and that you are wrong about the UTI. I am really sorry about your recent m/c

Hello everyone else

NappyValley · 13/07/2007 09:39

Oh and Thinking - just test OPK once a day at the same time you will get a surge. and twice a day is too expensive. I usually get EMCM before LH surge.

Hello Nappy - our messages must have crossed. Sorry about AF . I know how you feel as that's how I was yesterday.

Been trying to pretend I'm not obsessed by not posting, but still spending hours on the computer reading what you are all up to. Still no sign of ov. - faint bands on OPK for 3 days, and some fertile CM, so must be around here somewhere.

Can't believe Seaside is at 12 weeks already . Fantastic to hear all is well.

RahRah1 · 13/07/2007 16:50

Howdy

Nappy and Minxi, sorry AF is arriving for both of you guys...

I have had severe stomach cramping for two days now at night and its kept me up in the night. Last night I was awake for 5am. I'm so annoyed. Not only is AF looming like a dark cloud it is throwing in a preview of period cramps.

I decided it could not be this cruel and maybe implantation pains... But a lass a BFN, a kick in the teeth and a reality check that YES IT IS YOUR AF BEING ULTRA CRUEL!

Rainbowdays - Rant away for me sweetie!

Mmmm, not convinced but FF has given me red lines making me 4 DPO. I don't think I ovulated only had watery CM not EWCM and with DH being away I don't think my timing was great either, so I am expecting AF in a week or so, I just want a normal length cycle like 28/30 days rather than the massive 50 day cycle I had last month !!!

Hi all,

Nappy - Sorry your back to the top, you have every right to be frustrated - it doesn't matter if its your first, second or even tenth its still the worst feeling ever to get your AF when you so want a baby. And this is the best place to be to say how you are feeling. Good luck for this month

Blueberry - hope your test went okay yesterday. Sorry to see your back to the top.

Thinking - I'm not feeling very optimistic, I had lots of EWCM this morning which surely shouldn't be happening this late in my cycle! My temps haven't really been that high either so maybe I haven't ovulated so I guess I will have to wait for AF to show her ugly face How long are you cycles usually? Are they normally 50 days?

Rah - Sorry your feeling , hope that bloody AF isn't on its way

Hi to everybody else hope your enjoying the weekend

Arrgggg, temp gone up, cm drying up, dh not home till very late this evening.... this cycle just went up in smoke.

I have just finished painting the last essential wall of the house. So now I can sit back and do the other rooms at leisure, and they can even wait til we have moved in. Both the kiddies rooms look great, flooring arrives on wednesday and it will be then full steam ahead with moving their toys into their rooms. Currently we have a kiddies sandpit in the front/sitting room, so I will now have to decide when to move that outside where it belongs, but as yet the boundaries around the house are insecure, so I can't let the children out unsupervised, so it seems a shame to stop them having fun with the sandpit indoors until we get around to decorating that room! Sorry just realised that I have waffled on here, please forgive me, as Rah knows I do have a tendancy to blurb much and rant mostly post-ov time!!!!
